Another tip if it’s not already been mentioned… put a little bit of washi tape on the lid of your pots before you put the drill stickers on. It makes it easier to take off and kit up the next one
I absolutely agree in sectioning off your painting and working one section at a time. It doesn't look like such a daunting task doing that. I personally use double sided release papers (bought on Amazon) for this. And yes! A light board is a game changer! I also have several pens now in varying sizes and widths to use, as not to get "writer's cramp" or even carpal tunnel. That helps a lot. Diamond painting is sooo addicting! Once I started doing it I got hooked for life, lol.
When it comes to square kits, get a roller or use your kitchen rolling pin, to run over the drills of each section when you finish. This is to make sure the drills are stuck to the canvas. Not much of an issue with DAC kits, but you never know. Oh, and buy a rechargeable portable battery to use with the light pad. That way you can sit anywhere with the canvas.
0:41 The way my jaw dropped when you held that up, I just finished that exact same damn painting yesterday and it took me about three weeks as well. Even though mine looked a little bit different for example the moon had some orange-red colors in it. But still I was so excited when you held that up (it was my first ever Diamond painting)
Little tip I found out when trying to do more than one color at once: on the little part of the pan that isn't lines for the gem, draw the symbol that corresponds with the color in the pan. When you are done with that color for that section, you can just wipe off the marker.
I just wanted to say a lot of people have cut their canvases using exacto knifes. I recommend getting a couple of seam rippers that are in the sowing section. I bought one because I almost cut one of my canvases and I didn't even press that hard on it.
I'm a huge fan of diva dough and sassy wax (made by the same person). It lasts longer than the wax they give you with kits in my opinion. I've never tried diamond art club, it's quite expensive and I have I bunch of canvases I need to finish first but maybe in the near future I'll give them a try! 😊
Thank you for the discount! Much appreciated! I have never tried diamond painting before, but from yours and a few other videos I've seen, it looks like fun! I am very glad you paced yourself on this whole 24 hour thing. That sounded dangerous!
Great job on getting so much done in 24 hours! Here’s another tip to work even faster and put less stress on your body: align your tray in the same direction as your multi-placing. I saw you multi-placing vertically but your tray was horizontal, so you had to turn your wrist a lot.
If you are still doing diamond paintings the one thing i would suggest is getting an easel or stand, something of the like it really helps. Helped me with my hunching problems/back because of long hours of DP'ing
You should try a seam ripper to cut the plastic off. It’s definitely a game changer. I was using an x-acto knife before, but now I don’t have to worry about cutting the canvas. Enjoyed this video for beginners. Hope your foot heals soon! Sending prayers for a speedy recovery! 😘
I fully recommend getting a Light Box. Which is another pure god send when diamond painting.. I also brought a LED Magnifying Glass that just plugs in to a USB. Both devices have come in handy. In my house l have poor natural lighting. So both devices have come in handy.
Welcome to the addition that is Diamond Art Club. Be VERY careful using an exacto knife. It can and will cut through the canvas. If you can get a ceramic pen knife it's less likely you'll hurt your canvas. Personally I use a embroidery scissors. My other essentials are an art easel, and release papers.
Try Paint With Diamonds!!! They send everything you need, they have insurance for dropped gems pet sitting in canvas etc, and you earn points on purchases and reviews. I love the square drill painting, and the only thing is they ship from China and can take 30-35 days to come in. But I don't mind because I work on 90x120 canvases because they take a couple months depending on how often you work on it. They also have custom canvases so you can turn your favorite picture into a diamond painting piece of art. THE RESIN PENS ARE A MUST!!
I took circular chalk stickers and put them on my lids so that I can just use chalk pens to right the information on it's made kitting for me sooo much easier
A tip!! Sprinkle the diamonds on the actual painting and just move them to the proper spot it’s a lot faster!! And also temu has CUTE Diamond art COASTERS! You should check them out!!
I love Diamond art SO much, however I have severe spine problems causing agonizing pain from sitting or standing for more than 10-15 mins at a time, so I will max out at like 30 mins Diamond art and I’m in sooo much pain after each time and rarely feel good enough to do them but they make me so damn happy to do lol even watching this made my back hurt for you😂😂
I wouldn't worry about seeing the spaces between drills with light on cuz you won't have the light behind it when you frame it up and from a distance w/light off you really won't see the spaces - and as the kit dries it will shrink some so the small spaces that you see should fill in so I wouldn't go further until it is totally dry - but doing great
I want to try one from DAC as well but I'm intimidated by the size. The biggest one I've done is 30 by 40 and even then I haven't finished a full 30 by 40 yet.
Same! Once I found out that Temu sells them and at such great prices, I have had so much fun. I’ve been able to buy a couple of DAC from hobby lobby when they’ve had their 40% off sales on them, but even still with the discount they tend to be between 15-30 bucks… with that cost I can buy several from Temu, but learned quickly to check the size in the description. Lol I’ve received 2 itty bitty paintings because I fell in love with the image and didn’t check the size😂
Hopefully, your foot is better after the issue you had during the video. It's very pretty diamond art. I need to finish unpack8ng from moving to get started on my diamond art that I haven't been able to do for a long while.
I purchased my first Diamond Art Club paintings on March 1. Bought, Emerald City and Mountain Landscape. Eagerly waiting for their arrival. Also, I bought a bunch of accessories from Temu. Hopefully, it'll help me progress faster in my journey. Thank you for the tips. Enjoy.
That is one beautiful diamond painting I just recently started diamond Peyton to I'm loving it love your pets are so beautiful happy we could love from Canada ♥️♥️🙂🙂🙏🙏🇨🇦
If you put the cover minder only on the plastic and not on both it’ll weigh the plastic down so you only need to move the plastic and not the magnetic minder
I wish you lived closer and that we knew each other in person, cause I'd make you help me do my split dye, rainbow ombre hair. One side cool tones the other warm, I've done it before but it took hours and I didn't have to do it myself ❤ yours and your sisters hair are always amazing no matter what color you dye.
DAC is a great company but another 1 that is comparable is Dreamer Designs - same as supporting the artists - same backing on the kits and if you have AB drills DD has a pen in their kits for that - and all ppl that do this that I know call it an addiction but the good kind - and to always have a kit as backup as withdrawals are the pits - doctors recommend this art for so many ppl who have things like ADD, ppl having trouble concentrating, my friend has the shakes but she doesn't when she paints, and the list goes on - and there are a lot of doctors who do this also
Thanks for the tips, i bought two to make and frame as a christmas present for my mom and a friend. There are so many beads, colors and surface. I thought it would be easy untill i unpacked the painting lol. Seeing this video, i should've bought smaller paintings haha. Thanks for the tips and your video's. Happy christmas and happy newyear. Keep safe :)
I saw my name 😂😂😂 PURR BABY!!! Also, I loved the video! The square drills are way better than the circle ones. Also, DAC Asmr was 🤌🏾. I can’t wait to see more. 💜
I'm that weird person when iv finishe one DP I have to getset up ready for the next I put my drills in pots I have the art dot box an empty An refill everything ready for the next one it's the only time I'm organised xx
Am new to this intriguing craft. Your video is so helpful, thank you for posting. A few days ago, I purchased a kit from Amazon…it is beautiful, however I wish I had seen your video first and purchased from this company instead. My kit contains round drills and a small applicator pen. I will purchase the one you have linked, as I have arthritis. I love your tips, as well of those in the comments section. Hope your foot issue resolves and that your pain will disappear.
Love your channel. Sorry you are going through the foot pain . I love DAC, but if you need smaller, more inexpensive but good quality kits, Everydayedeals is a good company. Of course, there could be some stolen designs, but some people need the dp therapy without the cost. I have been diamond painting for 5 years and still love it as much as when I first started. An easel and light pad will help you with your back, posture and eye strain. They are not that expensive. It is worth the cost.
Another tip if it’s not already been mentioned… put a little bit of washi tape on the lid of your pots before you put the drill stickers on. It makes it easier to take off and kit up the next one
Thanks!
Hello Vee, how are you doing today, hope you’re fine and safe from the COVID-19 virus??

omg that is brilliant I have so much washi tape it is ridiculous
That’s so smart I get so annoyed trying to take stickers iff

I actually have the SAME one in my stash right now!! It’s going to be my next one after I finish my 40 x 60 lol
i was so surprised too! i have it hung up on my wall!!

little tip when working with AB drills when doing a section do the other drills first and the ABs last as they work better when your wax is dirtier

just a heads up these are very addicting i have almost 7 or 8 that need framed but they are very relaxing all the same
They are indeed addicting, I have 3 more ready to be done 😅
I have 10 that need framed at the moment lol
I have 13 lol
I have about 15 or 16 ready to be worked on and currently 11 done. Working on 3 currently
I have alot too. they are addicting
The backlit easels are so nice to be able to see on such a monstrous multi-gem placement.
Thank you for the discount! Much appreciated! I have never tried diamond painting before, but from yours and a few other videos I've seen, it looks like fun! I am very glad you paced yourself on this whole 24 hour thing. That sounded dangerous!

Just ordered my first Diamond Art Club canvas and i cannot wait to start it
I always find the light box is amazing but really annoys me shining through the tray. It’s so much easier if you put duct tape on the bottom.
One thing that can help you is a light board under your project. Amazon has some really great ones and they are rechargeable with a USB.
The light pad a must have 👍 you gave me the envy to try square diamond and diamond art club
