Thank you for posting this very helpful video! Your suggestion about how to remove the rotor retaining screw saved me a lot of aggravation, much appreciated!
Merci beaucoup tu a sauvé ma journée 👍
Sorry idk the language
Great video! Thank you for your efforts. Be sure to specify front or all wheel drive when you order front brake pads. There is a difference in length.
Sure will!!
Bro you are a honest and clear macanic. I can tell for sure from something I heard you said.
Thanks for the video.
I'm going to do the same brake job on my 16 crv in another 5000 miles.
Thank you
Yup it’s good to keep it honest and real I even say bad stuff when it needed to be but it’s honest bad lol anyways let me know how ur job goes
@@RBTheMechanic sure I will. Thanks
Thx keep the videos coming i appreciate u
Yup!
Great illustration.
Thank u
Great video, peace and love from Denver, Co.
Thank u
If you are watching this, make sure you watch a video on the rear pad replacement too if you plan on doing those. They are not the same and require much more effort to deal with the electronic e-brake.
Yup I have videos on electric rear brake system
Nice video
Thank u
Great video - you say 14 mm and 19 mm. At the end of the video it seems to be 8 mm (caliper pins) and 14 mm ( bracket). Seems anti seize on that Phillips screw would be a good idea. Thanks for posting
Yeah thank u it’s just look small on camera
Great video! Wacked the rotor trick worked like a charm. The screw came right out. Perfect. Thanks!
Nice good job
Near the beginning, when you mention the impact tool, I have to say, before watching all these kinds of videos, I had not heard of that tool.
So the other day, I went and bought on that was on sale for $15 and I had a chance to try it on that very screw. It was amazing.
Just 2-3 slaps with the hammer and the screw came out nicely.
I wish I had known of this tool years ago. LOL
I have a question. Is it true that the rotors on the front ARE vented, but the rotors on the rear are NOT vented?
Specifically, on a 2016 CRV SE AWD ???
No rears are not
@@RBTheMechanic Well, I finally bit the bullet and did the brake job, back and front.
New pads and rotors.
It took me a while because I used the die grinder to clean up a lot of rust here and there.
But what a difference now.
Thank you so much for your extremely helpful video.
Cheers
@@BlondieSL nice good job doing it urself!!!
1 question.
On a AWD vehicle do u have to replace all the brakes in same time ???
Dose it matters bcz of AWD ????
Yes they r diffrent I think this was awd
Great video. Please I need torque specs for honda crv EXL 2013
80 and 25
@@RBTheMechanic Thank you so much. These specs can used for AWD...?
@@maurics78 yup
I appreciate it. I have a question. I bought an acdelco rotor, but apparently it is a little bigger than the original rotor, can this cause a problem or should I look for a rotor that is the same as the original? Which one do you recommend Crv 2013 Exl?
@@maurics78 I’m not expert on parts but those rotors wount even fit u can go with electric coated rotors that’s what I mostly use also the acdelco is good
Video is good, but I don't know about WD-40 on the piston boot. That stuff isn't good with rubber.
Small application wouldn’t effect anything
My rotors are shiny and new (under a year old), but one of them got prematurely, worn down due to the brake pad not being replaced in time. Do I still need to replace both rotors? Obviously I need to replace both brake pads regardless, but I’m wondering if both routers are new if I need to replace both of them. Because one of the rotors has grooves in it where the brake shoe thing was brought down to metal and put grooves all in the rotor.
I would replace both them to be equal
@@RBTheMechanic damn. Thank you 🙏
@@liggerstuxin1 welcome!!
Dont know how to message you need a little help with my grounds in a 93 accord where it goes from bat to block or chasis or starter confused please help
I can check it tomorrow and I can let u know just remind me around 11am
Does the 19mm need to be foot lb torque as well. Please give me a reply back. I’ll be doing my brakes soon. I would like your opinion on it.
If u have torque wrench and specs do so
@@Main-street no rear are diffrent
