    Great video! Thank you for your efforts. Be sure to specify front or all wheel drive when you order front brake pads. There is a difference in length.

    If you are watching this, make sure you watch a video on the rear pad replacement too if you plan on doing those. They are not the same and require much more effort to deal with the electronic e-brake.

    Great video - you say 14 mm and 19 mm. At the end of the video it seems to be 8 mm (caliper pins) and 14 mm ( bracket). Seems anti seize on that Phillips screw would be a good idea. Thanks for posting

    Near the beginning, when you mention the impact tool, I have to say, before watching all these kinds of videos, I had not heard of that tool.
    So the other day, I went and bought on that was on sale for $15 and I had a chance to try it on that very screw. It was amazing.
    Just 2-3 slaps with the hammer and the screw came out nicely.
    I wish I had known of this tool years ago. LOL
    I have a question. Is it true that the rotors on the front ARE vented, but the rotors on the rear are NOT vented?
    Specifically, on a 2016 CRV SE AWD ???

      @@RBTheMechanic Well, I finally bit the bullet and did the brake job, back and front.
      New pads and rotors.
      It took me a while because I used the die grinder to clean up a lot of rust here and there.
      But what a difference now.
      Thank you so much for your extremely helpful video.
      Cheers

      I appreciate it. I have a question. I bought an acdelco rotor, but apparently it is a little bigger than the original rotor, can this cause a problem or should I look for a rotor that is the same as the original? Which one do you recommend Crv 2013 Exl?

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  2 года назад +1

      @@maurics78 I’m not expert on parts but those rotors wount even fit u can go with electric coated rotors that’s what I mostly use also the acdelco is good

    My rotors are shiny and new (under a year old), but one of them got prematurely, worn down due to the brake pad not being replaced in time. Do I still need to replace both rotors? Obviously I need to replace both brake pads regardless, but I’m wondering if both routers are new if I need to replace both of them. Because one of the rotors has grooves in it where the brake shoe thing was brought down to metal and put grooves all in the rotor.
