you are so full of energy and fun whilst painting. you have removed the fear in me the way you teach. I always feel I will ruin it if I do something daring but you explained have fun . that's what I needed. thank you n bless. I will try dhalias, hibiscus as they are so intricate n beautiful colours.
Thankyou so much Kristy.I do like how you approach painting watecolour..years ago I painted..but changed to acrilic..but watercolour always draws me back..thankyou
Loved how you added your babies helping you! They are adorable! Your little girl is absolutely precious! Such a little lady! And your son looks like he helps out alot! Love your watercolor style! Love it as much as Emma Lefebvre and Jenna Rainey's and you're all so different! That's what I love about watercolor. Everyone can develop their own specific style and we can all love a of it! I take away something from each of you and come up with my own style! Thanks so much for sharing your love of watercolor!
He IS such a good helper and little girl is a charmer! Thank you for this lovely comment! Yes we all have something to add to this space and compliment eachother well!
I enjoyed the video. I have this strange way that I do all of these plus a press and lift. Your dahlia’s are loose and fun…and inspiring. You dive in! Applause! 👏🏻
This was such a blast! One of my favourites so far! I’m learning so much from you Kristy! Keep up the great work, I love your teaching style and love your use of the word friends!
Team Replay! What a dahlia garden! 😮 gorgeous! I still haven’t figured out where you’re located but it’s beautiful….PA? We lived in Central Maryland for 30 years and the 4 seasons are beautiful. Now in Texas….still beautiful but different. ❤ Diane
Watched more of your videos .. really trying g to be loose .. I can see some improvement .. been trying for over a year to play with watercolours .. I love this mixture of crazy colours .. will try more again tomorrow .. thank you for the freedom !!
Honestly it didnt work for me, the begginning flowers were working, but the later part didnt. i really love your spirit though. You make your art holistic and natural to your personality. No stress. And thats why it works. Forgetting rules, simply enjoying your Work. I love it. This is how we should all try to look at life. Keep the spirit. Thisbis what makes you an artist.
I’m so glad you tried it though!!! The painting without sketching flowers def take some getting used to! I would encourage you to give it a go again and see what happens! Thanks for your kind words and for watching!!
Dude! I really like you! You help getting into painting not scary but exciting and fun. Also the way you teach allows someone like me😉 to find out what their own style will be. In school it seems a lot art teachers totally take the fun out of art. One teacher didn't allow any of her students to use red!😳😭I think people don't realize that there thinking is kind of in a box and how it can be great to kind of opening your mind up or just sort of broadening your way of thinking which lets to fresh inspiration. You know? Any I'm glad I you lady💞
I had an art teacher who would take my piece and start drawing or painting on it! 😱😤 It felt like such a violation to me. I would never touch someone else's piece! Your joy truly is contagious!! AND I love it!!
@@MrsLympha Really?! Wow I would of felt the exact same way. I would never do that unless like with my kids when they asked for help drawing a dog's nose or something they were having trouble with.
@@KristyRice I surely will! Call me crazy but I sent you a private message on Facebook Messenger but because we are not ''friends'' you don't see it! :(
Oooh that is a tough one. You can try to reshape and wrap the bristles in a wet paper towel, let dry. This works sometimes if the hook hasn't been in place for a while.
@@serraslife77 just email us! We’ll send you a replacement! hello@kristyrice.com but def let me know about the little plastic cylinder that should have been over the bristles to protect the liner
Haha - you said look at the cuties and instantly thought - Yes! Look at those precious babies! 😍💞

the ball one is a pompom, the biggest looks like a cactus dahlia or a semi cactus and the lightest looks like a semi cactus as well
Yay!! I knew someone would have the names for me!! Thanks!!
I love this. Can't wait to try later today. Thanks for sharing.
You bet! Let me know how it goes!
This is just beautiful, Kristy. I love your exuberant style. Thank you very much.

You’re welcome! What have you been painting lately?
I say it "day lias". And I think the word pompom would be suitable for the little flower.
Oooh I love that pronunciation!
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

The little ball shaped dahlias are called Pom Pom dahlias.
Does anyone know what brand of pencil is being used for the sketching in this video?
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix/what to do when your liner brush is hooked at the tip?
Oooh that is a tough one. You can try to reshape and wrap the bristles in a wet paper towel, let dry. This works sometimes if the hook hasn't been in place for a while.
@@KristyRice oh😔... it was delivered that way 😪 (it's from the Art for Joys Sake set I won so I'm SUPER bummed) ...geez I hope I can fix it!
