    In chosen practice struggle is healthy.
    Otherwise no true self development can occur. Also it's an exercise in maturity🌼

    Good morning Jillian🌈☀ and thanks for posting! I use The Flower Book as a go to reference but I keep seeing this book and I'm getting very curious.
    I'll be painting along until I have to go make breakfast and lunch for the kids. The best way to start the day.
    Have a great morning !

      Morning! So lovely to get to keep you company this morning with a painting! And yes this book is such a great resource I would recommend you to check it out (I have it linked in my description on amazon). I hope that you have a great day and show me your progress if you like! 😀

    Your work is AmaZing!!!! No words to describe it. In my opinion,
    You're one of those artists that plays no rule on her work. You got the eye for what you want to paint. The outcome is better than your the acrual picture youre teying to paint.

      Hi Lydia! Its so lovely to have you here and paint along! I m glad that you got even more than just negative painting from this! 😀 putting techniques into practical use in a painting is a real art :)

    Your technique is so unique and unconventional, to my untrained eye it appears random; I watch until blur haha. I will keep learning from you until I “get it”! Thanks!

      This piece is definitely a bit more technical than my other videos. It's nice of you to watch and support my art. If you are new to watercolor - you can start with my free patterns video which lands in your inbox daily to help you learn various techniques in watercolor while creating something meaningful.

      Thank you tracy! I am glad you can resonate with the struggle of the 'ugly beginning' and yes like you - I have times where I stopped too soon. That being said - for those pieces that never made it... I still keep it - these are all stories to learn from.

      @@brushmovement it’s so funny that you mentioned those pieces that you stopped too soon and that you keep them so do I I keep them I have a stack of watercolor painting that I stopped too soon now that I look back at them, and there is a part of me that wants to go back and see if I can bring them up to a different level but then I’m scared I’ll ruin them completely. Fear really has a lot to do with it but what am I afraid of it’s just paper and paint right? It’s just crazy.

    • @brushmovement
      @brushmovement  Год назад +1

      After you wrote it out and we say it out. It sounds crazy to be fearful of paper and paint. And yet there is so much more. Fear of failing twice. Fear of missing opportunity to try. Fear is definitely a huge roadblock and it's a uncomfortable feeling we need to learn to build a threshold for if we want to create more. I have also pondered about digging through my stash and giving them a 2nd life...

      @@brushmovement today is day 11 of my personal watercolor challenge. I’m posting videos on my channel to encourage others and motivate others to just go ahead and paint. It’s so good for our mental health.
      And I’ve just been using a seed catalog from this spring to give me reference photos it couldn’t be any simpler.
