Loved this - the bright pops of colour and abstract nature - such a happy painting. Loved the technique. Please continue to make videos. You are so good at it and I am learning so much and enjoying the process.
I would definitely continue to do these videos but right now some how my editing program on my iPad is not working with RUclips so I have to go back to the drawing board which takes time.. Thank you for your comment
I picked up watercolor a few years ago, and I've watched so many videos. I'm not sure how I never came across these before, but your technique and style is unmatched. I'm in awe, and I wish there were more videos, hoping all is well.
Wow! what a colorful painting. The final dark areas really make the leaves pop. Can't wait for more of your delicious paintings in 2020 and Happy New Year to you!!!
Lovely finshed work, I feel like I’ve learned a lot from your demos, (hibiscus and leaves, so far), and your techniques of negative painting are quite impressive, hopefully I may be able to learn from these demos. Thank you, Rae Andrews!
I've only seen a couple of your videos but have become an instant fan!👏 I've subscribed and look forward to viewing more of your beautiful work. 😍 I want to paint just like you when I grow up! (I'm almost 69. 🤫 don't tell anyone. 🤭😅)
Omg ! I love love love your style ♥️ absolutely love it I'm definitely inspired to try it out, negative painting your way takes it to a whole another level
Hi Rae, I am so thrilled to have found you and your beautiful videos about a year ago. I have watched them over and over. Your painting is so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing your techniques and colors. Lexi
Notice that when I wet my paper, it’s a random wetting with a large flat brush, and I leave a LOT of dry paper. The watercolor will flow only where you wet that paper, so keeping some areas dry, protects you from completely losing that clean whiteness.
Very interesting techniques, Rae! I am inspired to give it a try --- it will be a nice change from the way I normally paint. I feel like I'm beginning to understand the concept, as I was thinking about some of the changes you made before you demonstrated them. Thanks again for your lovely videos.
Wonderful.. I only speak very little French so I am not able to read it, and on my computer some of the images were cut off, which is a shame. It looks a very good magazine..😊
I have always wondered how the color is applied in the positive shapes. Now from you video it dawned on me that these positive shapes were actually background color that got “boxed” in with the negative painting. So simple. Yet no way to know until I watched your fideo. Thanks.
hi Rae, I always follow your works in that fb page. Amazing works. If I may request in every youtube that you produce, please choose the accomplished work as a thumbnail. It can give a better view for us about what you will do. Thanks for sharing :-D
Good idea.. I am not very technical so I will have to work out how I can do this. The editing program I use is very basic and I have only just managed the simplest tasks on it. But I will try.. Thanks for the input, it helps.. 😊

Enjoying this process, leaving enough white space,

Thinking what you do is marvellous I love it so beautiful
