no moving doors, windows, stairs, appliance locations, no changing exterior walls (can make additions), no changing foundation, NO MAKING THE HOUSE SMALLER!!!

YES! A typewriter would be perfect.
That would also allow for the penpalls to work! Type out your letters then send them thru the mailbox. Bringing good ol' fashioned snail mail back into fashion.

But that was 20 years ago and I was little and may be confusing it with something else.

There are smooth wooden toilet seat that do not give you splinters. Though the seat in this case seems to be ceramic or plastic so I guess you mean the box?

I think a mystical tree house would be cool, then you could give the lot a back story as to why it’s so big. Or a big tree in strangerville, a government experiment went wrong sorta thing.

Today I found out after being together 2 years my bf is having to move 8 hours away and I cannot go with him. I've been crying my eyes out (and we chose to stay together even through the distance) so thank you for uploading this 19 minute video. I'm so appreciative. It's really going to make me feel better today.
Also I know you're in a long distant relationship. But man. It sure does suck feeling like I'm going 10 steps backwards after being with someone almost every day for 2 years and then them moving 8 hours away.

Kayla should do a playlist of her living in this house using the rags to riches challenge if you don't understand:
Kayla starts off with nothing but a tree and builds up to have a big treehouse. she has to do dumpster diving to get money, knowing it's her favorite strategy. use the things that you get from the dumpster and if they don't work for off the grid, at least you get some money for it. also, this has to be on a short life span, making your sims have a child so if your sim dies you have another person to work with. it has to be off the grid making it much more difficult, the point is to go from rags to riches.
I suggest Kayla makes a let's play and goes from a bad treehouse to an amazing treehouse. this seems like an absolute challenge but I know you enjoy a challenge especially the rags to riches challenge, so you should enjoy this. do this for the fans, WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR BUILDS KAYLA!!!
Idk if someone already came up with it but if you used a debug tree your sims would have no problem walking thorugh it right

That's my main source of fun in Sims 4 lately (I assume you're talking about Sims 4, I don't remember the others well enough to explain but they have that option as well). To create a new world you must create a new Sim, but you don't need to move them into a lot, you can perfectly well ignore them or delete them once you're in, it's just necessary at the start, and then you never have to touch a Sim again. To access the build tools click on a lot and look at the bottom-right bar in neighbouhood view. Not lived-in lots only have three buttons, live-in lots have a fourth on the left of the bar with three dots to access the household options. In either case, Build Mode is always the third button counting from the right, with a hammer and wrench. It would be a lot easier with pictures, but I hope I was helpful regardless!

Building idea: Build a house as separate rooms, like you build all rooms one by one and can't see the other ones after you've moved on and in the end you put all rooms together

Okay okay but picture this...a Treehouse stuff pack/kit. We could have a bunch of wood-toned things, walls, floors, etc. A new ladder that's like a rope ladder. TREES SPECIFICALLY SHAPED/SIZED FOR TREEHOUSES. It would even be cute if they added like, maybe like a lumberjack career or something, or skill, where your sim has to chop wood to build their treehouse, almost like the rocket science skill. It would be a great sort of add-on to the survivalist skills from Outdoor Retreat. Picture like, eco lifestyle, outdoor retreat, and a treehouse stuff pack all together, would be a great expansion/game/stuff pack combo.

Hii, I have an idea for a challenge: Letter challenge. You would have a letter and any objects literal name would have to start with that letter (letter s- Supergreat chair) it also could be used for packs. I haven't tried it tho, so I'm not sure if it's not too hard/ too easy/ boring. Just wanted to share the idea💜
This is why I love the Vampire pack. There's so much in the vampire pack that is off the Grid with out compromising looks, which I love.

A trick for landscaping is to size the flowers differently, this makes it look more natural since flowers don’t grow at the same speed
Tree houses are one my favorite build options! This is no different.
May I suggest a big build, maybe a stream one? The monster apartments in Japan. I know players without mods wouldn't be able to fill the lot (Sim limit), but it would be pretty cool to see.

Stick a tree in it after you make the house and then work around it. With Snowy Escape, it came with a journal. You could use that for writing. In Outdoor Retreat, there are lanterns, you can stick that on a counter--from snowy escape and that way it wouldn't look weird in the bathroom.

I was inspired by your dust bunny rags to riches experiment and created a character called Dirty Birdie, then I put her in your treehouse in the shipping container lot from Eco Lifestyle. Also added the grody and creepy crawly lot challenges so now she’s an off the grid, dumpster diving, dust bunny loving treehouse dwelling dirty birdie! 😜 Keep simming!
i have a really nice challenge for you: its the travel challenge and the point is to travel with your sim in every world on every lot, but you can stay just a week in a world

For landscaping, it really helps to add tall grass/foliage to give some variation in the lot. And I know you already posted the build but I think a small pond would've looked nice too so the lot wouldn't have looked too empty :)

The whole time, I was just thinking about how flammable this house is. Especially with the candles. Like one wrong move and the whole house would go up in smoke.

Make a ground level bathroom. Makes more sense in this case to have the bathroom separated from the rest of the house.
For the lighting, you can use the torches from Island Living. They are off the gird and they are pretty good at illuminating the place.
Vampires has an OTG wall light. It's not a sconce, but you don't need to place it on a shelf.
Also private journals increase writing skill OTG, but I can see why they'd be otherwise useless, since you can't publish books with them.
