Hi Mark, love the fact The Haven has a dog. I always think a pub should have a dog!

I am definitely stopping by here next time I'm in London Mark. Thanks for the tour. My haunt was Fountain Abbey near Paddington. Cheers from Denver Colorado - USA.

Looks like a great place to hang out. If I lived in the UK and lived near London I would visit the place for sure!

Ha, I just realized this is the pub that you got thrown out of in your video about crazy old laws and you breaking them...and the landlord is the guy who threw you out when you "got drunk" haha. How fun that they agreed to act in your video for that segment.

Thanks, Mark, for showing a little gem in Ealing Broadway, and one day, I'll make a trip there and have a pint of Guinness. PS My sister-in-law is Thai, and it's a place to try more Thai dishes.

Hi Mark, I personally think it would be better if they sold traditional English food. Pubs are the few remaining places in London where you can usually get traditional English food at an affordable price. There are of course the Pie and Mash shops in the East End and south London, and the cafes that do mainly fry-ups, but they’re not to everyone’s taste.
I remember going into The Churchill Arms and being disappointed they’d gone over to Thai food.

I agree. I get to the UK about once every two years and I always look forward to some good British food at a pub. I wouldn't want to order Thai food at a British pub, that's just... wrong.

Yes I understand your sentiment for some pubs it’s a commercial decision and proves very profitable, the good news is that Fish and Chips is still available, thanks for watching 😊

I always think the first thing a visitor to London should do is get an all-day ticket and go on the Thames Uber Clippers. My fave pub is the Prospect of Whitby.

I've an Irish friend who was looking into her ancestry. She discovered that one of her ancestors ran a pub in what is now the Flower and Dean estate in the East End of London. That area was Irish before it was Jewish and before it was Bengali. Rumor has it that her ancestor disposed of one of her husbands by throwing him down the stairs.......!

My mum & dad lived there too, in Nathaniel Buildings, in Flower & Dean Street (known as The Flowery). What was the name of the pub? There was a mixture of English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh etc there including Jewish then, there was a Jewish grocery shop there called Maxy's.

@@user-un3wp2kg5f I'm afraid I don't know the name of the pub.

No way I’m going to a London pub to eat Thai food. Sorry that I’m not sorry.
