- London has been around for at least 17 years. To celebrate that, Bill and I are going into 7 of the oldest pubs in the historic city to have half pints. We did this on a Thursday so didn't have the gonads to go for the full bowls of golden bath water - aka 568ml of Lager.
@alejosonnenberg
So glad we found this. My brother and I are going and now we have a pub crawl list!
Mate, thanks for the pub tour and the woozy memories. I've been to four of them across my last six visits to London. Your vid is inspiring me to make the trip across the pond once again in '23 and try to finish off the list. Love it all! Cheers.
Love this, you guys are great. Love pub crawls.
Might follow this one next weekend
heading to London in 2 weeks and stumbled across this video. love it mate cheers
Dont miss the old bell fleet street.
So fun! I want to go to them all if i ever get to London again!
If y'all ever did a guided pub crawl I'd pay dearly for it because the LOLs alone would be worth it, but also history and beer and whatnot. I loved this.
Evidently one of my relatives worked as a cook at the Mitre back in the 1800's. I think it was owned and strangely part of Cambridge way back in the day. According to my old man, it was a place crims would run to, as the old bill couldn't nick them as it wasn't part of their jurisdiction ....how true that is I don't know. Cheers for the pup crawl guys :)
did this the other day with some friends, it was so great! fab video
Such a good vid man, probably your best
Good video. I enjoyed it.
Commonly known as a pub crawl under historical pretences.
Loved this guys 🤣😍🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
I’ll be there in May 2023 ! I earned it to myself some pints and fun across the pond
Nice! The Spaniards Inn up in Hampstead is fairly old too, bit of a trek on foot though from where you were.
That disappeared a good few years ago, still got the namesake though
Ha ha Drury lane, my father Harold Arthur Drury lived in London before coming to the states. This is a lot of fun thank you for this video
Great 👍❤️
Very nice choices, guys.
I've heard there is an old pub somewhere near Cheapside, known historically as the Old Anne Fagg, which I'm told dates from 1534, but seems to have changed it's name a couple of times in the 19th/20th centuries. It's apparently been referred to in several historical documents of note, and I've attempted to locate which hostelry now occupies the original building, but I've not had much success so far.
"out of the hustle and bustlllllllleeeeee" 6:57 💀💀
i watched the whole vid before i subbed. I was suprised by the low subscriber count. enjoyed the vid. Groetjes
Perhaps you could review The Olde Wine Shades in St Laurence Pountney Lane sometime? It survived the Great Fire of London, is grade II listed and, being originally a merchant's house, has a tunnel which connected it with the Thames.
This is awesome 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Interesting video
Good tour but you’ve forgotten the mayflower in Rotherhithe!
The George inn is in borough isn’t it ?
Excellent Gentlemen, thanks & best wishes as you move forwards.
love this! please go for tour n. 2
the pint clinking noise is too good
I want to do all of these!
Proper pubs.
Woah good video
That city of York pub looks like it sells the same awful drinks sold in the pub actually in York that has the cellar in its attic.
Can you share the paper you had with you?
Been in the lamb and flag many year ago. You didn't film the alleyway that practically goes through it. Also, are the wonky as fk old stairs going up still the same ?
near to Covent garden, I remember that
The muffin man lmao
Loved this video man! Any more pub crawls in the works?
New one is online babyyy
In the 1200’s they would have been serving mead.
Is that true, are there really “thousands” of pubs in London?
3500 or thereabouts.
😂 this was fun
Awesome! I’ll be there In June, btw what was the name of this pub crawl you did? Do you have a link or you just picked the pubs? Anyways great fun video man!
Thank you for watching! This is just pubs that I picked
I want to go to one with few to no people
Why does the comment describing this video say that London has been around for at least 17 years? Obviously that's a mistake, but how many years is it supposed to say? The first bridge crossing the Thames dates from 1750 BC (so, 3770 years ago) and the Romans built their first occupancies in London in 43 AD (so, 1980 years ago), but how do either of those dates translate to 17 years? 17 centuries (plus a further two) maybe?
‘At least 17 years’ is sarcasm Andrew. London is actually millions of years old. Dinosaurs were the first to call it home
CAMERA does a much better list / crawl based on the most beautiful interiors
Seven pints I would be pissed
I bet they were all really half-pints, with the big boys just wheeled out for the camera shots. ;^)
So you had 3.5 pints?
Yes cos 7 full pints would get me grounded :(
@@alejosonnenberg you seemed hammered
@@lewismarriott2468 next time I’ll do full pints and we’ll see what happens
Real pubs don't have TV screen of course
I thought Britain served proper pints 🤷🏻♂️
What apuff
Bit noncey drinking half pints
And Lager at that!
Zzzz
You do enough . . .
I call bullshit on this whole list, but you are some funny blokes!
From 1667 to when your video was posted in 2021 means you could have gone on a pub crawl for far more than the 250 years you mentioned.
