Here is a tip especially for people who think it is too tight or narrow. The Adidas Speedex Ultra has a special locked in lacing system. I always remove the laces and reinstall the laces because I always want them to be perfectly equally lined up and have the right amount of tightness. I can't remove these laces as they are locked in. I can remove the laces out of the very top holes but then the 2nd set of lace holes are too small for the end piece of metal. I had 2 pairs (true size and half size under) and I noticed this for both. It isn't a defect. It is a design. It is like they installed the laces all the way to the top 2nd set of holes and then crimped on the end piece. I initially put the shoes on and thought they were too tight or narrow. I loosed the laces a lot to the very bottom. Didn't tighten the crosses. Just kept them even. Kept them somewhat loose. Tied the knot. Did some boxing steps. Felt a little top loose? Tighten a smidge. Do some more boxing steps. Readjust to the right amount of snugness. Fits perfectly now. Not too tight or too loose. The Adidas employee is just going to yank the laces tight and if you just throw your foot in there, it will probably feel too tight or narrow as the laces doesn't stretch or loosen up. Just loosen the laces as much as possible and then fine tune them to your snug likeness. While I initially thought this special locked in lacing system was unnecessary, it is a more polished lacing system than the regular lacing that you may see on the Adidas Box Hog 4. I can actually leave all the laces, loosen a couple crosses at the top, pull the "green tongue pulley" and slip my foot out. With the Box Hog 4, I kind of gotta take the laces out of the top 2 hole and really pull out a few crosses to get my foot out. Not a big deal. Takes very little time to tie. If I didn't fine tune the laces and just used it with how the employee tightened them, I would have thought the shoes were too tight and narrow but now I think they feel much more comfortable. I think the Box Hog 4 is more narrow but I think the Box Hog 4 is more comfortable because of its padded tongue. Weird. Both are still quite comfortable and definitely fast and speedy. You can't go wrong with either the Box Hog 4 or Speedex Ultra. I have a wide foot and I find them pretty comfortable. I have FOUR Box Hog 4 (different colors) because I am a huge fan of those. I have the white Speedex Ultra and I thought they looked a little bit weird on the computer screen but when you get them and see them in person, they look really cool and quite flashy which I like to have some flash with boxing shoes. I am very happy with both the Box Hog 4 and Speedex Ultra.
Box hog 4 sole broke so fast on the heal. Impossible to repair when the foam is damaged. Ultra sole is sturdy and the shoes fit better. Weight of ultra and nox jog 4 shoes was about the same. I would say ultras are far better quality while the box hog 4 is overrated( even though they were snug fitring, they were not sutable at all).
Thank you for showing what the boots look like when you're wearing them. Other reviews I've seen just hold up the shoe and talk for the whole video. It's important to see the boots in action.
Thanks for telling me. I actually ordered these for $88 last week and returned them because I felt they were little bit too big in the front. I felt my Box Hog 4 felt more true to size. The Adidas gift card deal $75 for $100 on the Adidas website is broken (refused 2 of my credit cards) and has been glitched for the past few days according to the deal message boards so I just bought 2 paypal deals with pay $40 for $50 Adidas gift card. I just bought it but I ordered a half size down. I think it will feel better for me. I paid $80 for the gift cards, used the code promo and have a $26.35 balance left with the Adidas gift card. Kind of like paying $53.65 total after tax. The Adidas gift card won't be wasted.

@@vince11harris they are abit tight but the grip is like on the ball of the foot are more soft so I can pivot but then the middle and the heel the grips are really good
Ultra 100% . Box hog 4 sole comes loose easilly when e.g. tripping backwards. Ultra soles are as new after 50h of sessions. Fit is also much more confortable. I tested box hog 4, speedex and speedex ultra and was 100% pro ultra. I consider my feet to be wide. Only ultra were comfy and ttue to size.
@@renevanlien2458on the website of adidas they are telling to buy a size more huge, did you really just bouggr your normal size ? And hows the difference from the speedex 23 to the ultras ?
@@darrenorubor2629 I would say with the hyper ko 2.0 the sole is much more durable than the originals but yes I agree the upper especially where the laces go isn’t durable enough I am super careful putting them on and taking them off so they don’t break - shouldn’t have to treat them with so much care actually

"Raised Arch" is all I needed to hear. I have a high arch and most boxing boots are flat in the soles.
Hows the difference from the speedex 23 to these ultras ?
I miss 2004, 2008 adidas olympics boxing boots. They used to make amazing boxing boots.
I agree they were
