Has you doctor ever told you to stay away from foods that are high in cholesterol?

Yes... and the cholesterol conversation is extremely frustrating for me!
Since going to a low carb/animal based lifestyle in December 2017, I have reversed my T2D (A1C 10.1 to 5.3), no more sleep apnea, no more brain fog, no more GERD, no more neuropathy, took my Triglycerides from 260's to 80's, look and feel better at 51 than I did at 31, and many more benefits.
Despite all of the benefits mentioned above, my total cholesterol and LDL have "skyrocketed" and seems to be all my doctor focusses on. To be honest, I dismissed the LDL "scare" for so long, but the constant focus by my doctor has me starting to question myself. I have refused to take a statin despite the years of pressure to do so.
I eat an almost exclusively animal based diet. I do not eat sugar or grains. I train with weights 4 days a week... but cholesterol... I don't know what to believe anymore.

@@nocarbsnation Demand (in the nicest way 😉) your doctor to run a more comprehensive cholesterol panel - you need to know your particle sizes (like sd-LDL and VLDL). A couple names of panels that look at these are NMR Lipoprofile and Cardio IQ. This shouldn't be hard to get, but often times the reason why docs don't order it is because thay don't understand it and it's a lot easier to prescribe a statin than explain comprehensive lab results.
