    I love how you methodically trace down the issues. I had the same at a donut shop and noticed, "hey, no tube and no PS", but as soon as I removed the Roll out switch the blower came on". Funny how these machines get a mind of their own! Keep making these TAD. I work alone and you a lot of you good AC guys on YT really are my "colleagues". Thanks again!

    I didn't read through all the comments, and Im not doubting that it was a bad motherboard. Just curious if anyone else saw the substantial spiderweb in the right burner from the beginning!? I know that it doesn't take much to interfere with primary air interfering with a modern furnace firing up, especially when it's just one burner that isn't lighting. You have to look at everything very carefully every time. Not trying to hate at all, I love your videos, keep them coming. Like I said it was just an observation I made

    This video came in clutch today. Had intermittent no heat & decided to investigate. Thanks to your video I knew where to start looking (I'm not an HVAC guy) & I found my problem. The nipple on the motor that connects the hose to the pressure switch was completely clogged with lime scale. Not sure how that happens but once I cleaned it out everything started working as it should.
    Thanks again for this video. It was an amazing resource.

    I had an exact ameristar furnace the other day that was set up for propane do the same exact thing changed board gas valve and checked the inlet gas pressure it it was at 15 iwc and when furnace fired the propane would drop to 0 iwc got it narrowed down to a pressure regulator at the tank

    Note these are notoriously clogging up the inducer motor vacuum port. Drill it out a little bigger takes care of it

    I think windy conditions make my mini splits run constantly. I'll have remote set at 65, but it will be 75 degrees in the house when it's windy out. I have a 4ft tall fence in front of units blocking wind a little , but still not performing as needed.

    Just came from the same issue on a tempstar gas furnace. Only getting 2.1v out of the board on the inducer hot leg during call for heat, 120v going into the board. Inducer would come on intermittently if you reset the system, but never for more than a few seconds.

    99% of the time you don't need to replace a spade connector unless it's corroded. However you do HAVE to smash crimp them again and smash down the female spade deals so it has a better connection on the male spade terminal.

    I was just quoted $1,000 to replace my Ameristar main board. Seems a little excessive when I can find the part for about $60 new and the labor to replace it seems pretty straight forward. Is there something I'm missing as to why they would charge that much? And that is their discounted pricing according to them.

    • @TaddyDigest
      @TaddyDigest  Год назад

    I just found a bad board on one of these pieces of junk last night. I didn't sell the communist chinese junk. Someone else did. The blower would not come on due to that larger relay energizing but not closing switch. Show me the money.
