Lol bout a half day of editing and 2 separate nights of footage. I would have preferred to film my second one after assembling the kit without the cameras rolling! Hard to justify two identical haulers though!
Thanks for the video I'm planning one buying two one for my snap-on hauler and one for trx6 Ultimate hauler but right now I'm redoing a regular trx6 into a long wheelbase trx4 medium duty wrecker with the carrier bearing for the ultimate hauler
You should have unbolt from chassis first then took it apart from their it's would been faster and easier to follow

Wish it was still available it’s been sold out for a while now. Not even sure if they are still making it.
Definitely should of made the body more versatile. I would like to be able to take the flat bed off and drop a toy hauler camper on it. Then put the tilt bed back on and only make one power connection.

The RC4WD trucks fit well since they're narrow and the scale is on the small side for 1/10th.

That’s been talked about. One exists but it’s not scale and sort of folds flat against the back of the deck. It needs to retract and lift to be scale. Not an easy task with how little room is left under the deck with the roll back kit.

Sorry, no. We haven’t worked on that build since working on LMT parts and the semi. It’s on my list to get back to this year.

Is this a fdm, sls, or injection mold on the plastics? Paused and zoomed couldn’t see layer lines?
Good eye. No visible layer lines. It’s a nylon sls print.
why no footage of a rig on it and in operation?

No
Yes. Two things: 1) I film basically in a small box, so its not as loud as it seems. This is an early version. There is talk of an update in the future which will replace the scale looking and louder winch with a standard servo winch. This will quiet the travel a lot.

Maybe someone could help me. I was looking at getting a traxxas 6x6 chassis because I want to build a Oshkosh MTVR Wrecker or a M936 A2A Wrecker. This is my first real RC car so I'm kind new. What I kind want to know is would the Traxxas Hauler chassis or the 6x6 Mercedes Benz chassis be better for what I'm trying to do? The only reason I picked traxxas is because my uncle is buying the C10 from traxxas and I would like to keep with the same brand that way we can always order parts together. (edit I dont need a functional crane/tow I just want to start with the body)
Really just depends on the wheelbase you’re after. The trx6 is shorter than the ultimate hauler but are basically the same truck.

Definitely. This is basically just a TRX4 or TRX6 drivetrain. They are nearly bombproof and take higher KV systems easily. I have some that go almost 30mph and Ive seen them go much faster as well.

Yes, that's how I made my 8x8. You'll need to buy the steering components, add them to the #3 axle and trim two right side steering axle shafts to fit the centered pumpkin of the #3 axle housing. Its not hard, but I wouldn't say its easy either. We have a video on that truck and at the end you can see a closer look at the set up. The front most steering axle on that 8x8 would be exactly how you'd need to modify this hauler for rear steer.
Rear steer has been around for over 10 years

I want to put a dump body on a TRX6 hauler and make it a dump truck.
Is there a kit to make a TRX6 Ultimate hauler into a dump truck? I haven't found one.
Not to my knowledge. It would likely need to be a hydraulic system like the 1/14 construction equipment to have enough power for a loaded dump bed.
@@crawlersncustoms I could make it possible and there are many different actuators and torque ratings that are offered to make it a electric version rather than hydraulic. I’ve been eyeing up the hauler since snap on. Yet all my rigs now fall into 1/14 scale heavy equipment so I haven’t spent the money to modify this hauler up. I’ve done many Bruder conversions and hydraulic conversions this truck is up my alley to tinker on. Great video very clear and informative 👍🏼
Ps i was wondering is the suspension the same as a regular tr6? If so how’s added weight on the rear ended hauler when applied? If made into a dump truck it would definitely need the rear suspension beefed up. And that would also be a long bed to cover chassis length
You should redo this video and do a install of Both this kit Plus GT Power Pro A60 it's a esc Motor sound Vibration and light kit that Bluetooth
This was to be a basic overview and detailed install. Trying to keep it as short as possible for those that bought this kit. Lights sounds motor etc will be in other videos 🤛🏼

Yes it does. We will have some follow up videos in the next 1-2 weeks with the body modifications and the scale winch install.

Can it be slowed down?
Yes. In the video i mentioned these were actuators that are not used in the current version. They are about twice as fast as what is being shipped now.

How does it work with a winch
The traxxas scale winch bolts up to the front of the bed like normal. You would need to wire an extension in. I’ll be showing that in a future video

And I'm shocked that these kits aren't on Ebay for more money because it sells out fast
eBay’s is killing small sellers with their fees for selling then fees for listing then also paying federal taxes on the money you made on item turned in at end of yr.
Everyone will be hit with income tax from selling on all these 3p platforms in this tax cycle. Its going to catch a lot of sellers off guard. Basically if you make more than 600 per month on any marketplace they are required to submit documents to the IRS. I don't sell on Ebay as our own website does well enough on its own.

It comes across louder than it should because my scale garage is a small box. Tends to amplify all the sounds.

I prefer the Redcat 53 COE myself. More scale. And we have two wheel styles coming out for it late December.
