Thanks Scott! Glad it was useful. This thing pretends to be a hauler but that trx4 running gear cannot be repressed - crawling is in its heritage and its capable for its size!
Thanks, and that was fun eh! I'm glad this has been useful to people! I don't like destroying things for destruction's sake but there's utility in this one :)
You kind of beat the hell out of it. You are the first one I’ve seen beat it up on the rocks love it. None of my RC’s are shelf queens doesn’t matter how expensive they are I buy them to perform & bring a smile to my face.
You sure put it through its paces. Can't imagine the Traxxas engineers had crawling in mind when they designed the truck but it did ok on your course. Kudos to Traxxas for building a unique and fun vehicle. Thanks for the entertainment and I'll see you next time. Take care!
Thanks Chris. I kinda agree with you, regarding crawling - they didn't design it for crawling but by building it on the TRX base it came baked into the end result. There are many crawlers that can't do as well as this did, and that isn't a case of luck! It's not a bad all rounder, eh?
@@RCTNT Agreed. It's a pretty good all rounder. I can imagine how much fun it would be to load your Fazer on the back, go run a bunch of laps followed by a casual crawl with the Hauler. Many possibilities!
This is an excellent review. It did better on the tests than some other crawlers that were suppose be true crawlers. It's just a fun truck in my opinion.
What's funny is this did better on your problems than I would have ever expected 😆. It's SO long it looks comical on the problems, but I was really rooting for it when you had the two front wheels in air. Some of the local folks bought this and use it to haul their comp rigs to the comp site. Some of the crawl spots are a ways from the parking lots so folks have some creative solutions to get the rigs out. Really enjoyed this one and I'm excited to see what you do with this Hauler! 👏
It's not bad eh! I've used my BC8 and trailer to haul rigs to comps before. It carries 4 crawlers and still goes at jogging speed in 2nd gear off road without breaking a sweat. Towing stuff in general is just fun :)
Just picked up one of these rigs…already swapped the motor/esc out for a HW fusion se 1800kv…😅 Can’t wait to take it out .. Great video …I’d like to get the roll back bed ….someday
I've nearly done it a couple of times, yeah. Looks cool hey. Glad you're enjoying this most epic of rigs (on see the servo is addressed, anyway). Rock on!

Hey great! I'm not at all surprised at your experience, Cross RC make great things. I need to get around to more of their vehicles, I have several in boxes here. Really glad you're getting out and that you've got a success story with this rig :)

Heh, he's not really interested. Yet. I'll build whatever he wants with him and he might go for it one day, who knows. We wheel together now and then on whatever he wants to drive - there's a bit to choose from here - but I'm happy to support him whatever he's into. This is a great machine, for sure!
@@RCTNT I was the same with my son. When I dug my Tamiya Manta Ray and King Cab out of the shed a few years ago, he used those. Then I got a crawler, a Gmade R1, and he loved and used that.
