I pre-ordered mine in June 2023 ( I'm in Australia) and still haven't received it. They haven't arrived in Australia yet. ( May 2024 ) As for warranty , it only lasts 30 days so after that you got no return or warranty or cover. Here in Australia, I've found an adaptor for the battery to ESC. It plugs in and has Traxxas ID to Dean's. So it will go in without voiding the warranty, then I can put a Dean plug battery. But my truck hasn't arrived yet. As for not being able to run aftermarket parts such as shifting servo and steering servo and diff locker servo, a real easy way around that is to buy an aftermarket servo of better quality and snip off the terminal then swage the wiring by stripping the insulation off the wiring to servo and terminals and using Traxxas plug on aftermarket servo. Simple. I would probably use the Traxxas CRAP until it breaks down and stops working. I just wonder though if the delay in this truck arriving is some kind of omen to me so I don't waste money on Traxxas junk ? Maybe I've got a guardian angel looking over me ? And this is to give me time to get a refund on my truck to save money for myself. Here in Australia this truck sells at $1150.00 Australian dollars. And I'm on a pension. A disability pension of only $1100.00 per fortnight/ 2 weeks..
I'm not a new Ford guy,..but love old school!! I have to let you know, your vid is the best I've seen on this ford!! Wonderful job! Im in San Diego,.& weekend is more muddin, than trailing!! You make this ford awesome!!! Have a great weekend sweetheart!!
8:24 The scale latch is called a pintle hook. It is used with a trailer with a donut shaped ring as its connector. The big advantage is that it gives much much much more articulation than a traditional hitch. In fact, a hard mounted pintle hook typically can rotate completely, which means you can roll your trailer without rolling your truck. This attachment is used by most military vehicles but is also used on the back of semi trailers to attach a dolly for a second or third (or in Australia fifth) trailer. Great video keep up the good work. Always enjoys your less frenetic take.
I like your videos. No loud music. The music you have is nice pleasant music and still can hear the trucks. Unlike others who put out ear splitting horrible music
I think that had to be one of the most well done unboxing/review/ drive impression I think I have ever seen! Great job! This truck has got me drooling! I absolutely ❤it!👊🏼😎🍻
I love this truck! I actually had a 79 Ford back when I was young going to high school, Mine was like a dull yellow with the light tan on the bottom near the rocker panels. I liked your review and I subscribed to your channel because I think you do a great job! Very well spoken and very knowledgeable & that is very rare in this hobby. I definitely gotta get this truck but I think I’m gonna go with the blue
Just wanted to say that the unboxing you did of this truck is the best one I have ever seen. I have been quite interested in this truck since I first saw it and have been doing some research on it. Plus I’ve always loved the older Fords. Well, when I saw this video a few weeks back, it sold me on getting one. I went to my local hobby shop and placed my order and it will be in next week. I can’t wait. Anyway, I watched this video again and was more attentive to the details you pointed out and took notes. Keep up the good work and have fun!!
I love the fact that Traxxas FINALLY went away from the annoying body pins. it looks SO much better and more real, that was the first thing I noticed when the high trail came out. Thanks for what you do. I will be getting the blue or black one.
Heck yeah gosh this brings back great memories, this is what I used to do in my full size F2 50 Ford pick up truck, and now I do it with my tiny trucks love it Best therapy there is
Just put money down on mine a couple days ago. Same color. Can’t pick it up until March 3rd. So looking forward to it. Also saw you in the newest edition of RC Caraction. Nice. Thanks for all your hard work!!
I love that truck . Miss building my own , getting to know it & the excitement builds as the sum of parts all come together, & that first run upon completion is just something else 🤩
I preordered a Brown one 2 weeks ago. It hit the RC shop yesterday, and I have to wait until Friday 3/3 to pick it up because they can't release it before then. Can't wait to get it tomorrow.
I'm looking at getting my dad one of these or the K10 next month. My grandpa his dad had a truck like this when I was a kid and I remember climbing around in and on it. 👍
I purchased the K10 Chevy High Trail a month ago. With some brass portal covers and such the otherwise high CG can be lowered to where the High Trail platform equals or eclipse most crawlers. It's a bit big for most 'Gates' in crawling competitions but near unstoppable as a trail truck.
Ah ha! ive been in rc for years and for some reason I always have to look it up or I get it wrong with steering and esc channel but now I will remember "1 to Turn 2 to Burn" for eternity! thank you for the tip!
I've been holding off on upgrades on my new F150 since I don't mind paying more for excellent products, but want to make sure I'm not buying twice. I love it right now, but of course, I want more performance and to really make it mine. Your explanations and videos are great, so thank you! I think lights are next, followed by a steering servo; I can't decide on which brass to use and where.
Awesome Awesome I gotta have one!! Great job on the light installment this is by far the best review I have seen on this truck so far Great job and thankyou for the cool shots!!
Super review of this awesome truck - I really like it !!! But one thing to all those guys who always swap the stock servos. A slower servo makes the rig even more scale, because NO real car can move its steering as fast as a high-speed servo !!!
the best detailed review of this rig. I'm surprised and happy that women also are into the rc hobby and in this case the best review is done by a woman (and also its nice to listen to woman voice , very relaxing and cozy). Ordered this rc model and looking forward to get it received and start exploring forests!
Nice review & you are 100% correct I’ve been a mountain biker for many years & being a RC enthusiast as well there are some trails that I’d love to take my Crawlers on but they are mostly used by mountain bikers & are single tracks that are narrow steep & rocky with some serious consequences if you crash so needless to say I’ve never had my Crawlers on them. Even just out anywhere I try & stay away from people just out especially with dogs. But a lot of people are curious when they see these nice Crawlers we have.
@@RCGirl I had a little girl run up to me & put out her hand & wanted to try my RC I laughed & said ya these are more for adults. I felt bad but ya if they knew the price🤯
Good job on the description and mechanical details. Watched this video as I just opened my metallic brown option. This Traxxas rig is worth the price no doubt 👍
Thanks for showing the "walking trail" @22:20 (ish). I was wondering if it was slow/fast enough to drive in front while walking a trail just like what you showed. Great review!
Hey there RC Girl! Just want to say thanks for your content. Next to my love for making videos your content has gotten me back into RC Cars again after letting my hobby gather dust for 15 years. Like you I love sharing my adventures on RUclips. Having heaps of fun here, thanks!!! Keep that content coming. 😊
Hey glad to see you finally got your truck glad you're getting to premiere it and an opening of the box lol, RC shop here in our area just got one of the blue ones but as I've said to some of the others I'll say to you as well the only thing I worry about is the same problem that we're having on the Ford Bronco and that is that nice pretty silver trim down the side with any kind of use will start to break the Lexan right along that line. And let them stair, You're awesome.
Good point there. I just got an idea for a quick fix on this problem though. I would apply some dry wall tape and shoo goo as others do to polycarbonate body shells which also makes the shell a lot stronger and stops the damage occuring in the first instance but can also be used to repair a body shell if needed. Yeh I was a little hesitant to buy this truck after reading your comment but now I realise it's actually really easy to get around any issues with the body shell getting damaged. I don't think this would be low cost $$$ cheap to buy from Traxxas either. But yeh I'm really considering buying this truck probably also in metallic brown.it looks beautiful and I'm a ford fan my whole life.just a little add on , I was referring to replacement body shells being quite expensive from Traxxas. But so are kyosho here in Australia a kyosho body shell for a 1969 Chevy Camaro or a 1957 Chevy Bel Air is around $210.00 Australian dollars and I suspect Traxxas will be even more expensive. By the way thank to Haley Rcgirl it's an awesome video presentation and I have subscribed to Rcgirl.👍
That is pretty stinking sweet 👍👍😎 back in my day I have a 1976 last year the tall boy black and black, four-speed granny gears gosh I miss that truck besides the grill this is how my F2 50 three-quarter ton pick up truck Looks
Why not use the traxxas light kit? Also you should get the Bluetooth adapter & link to the traxxas app! You can control your lights & see how much angle the truck has when crawling, see battery & heat info. Again you gotta link all your traxxas rc's to the app, makes it a whole different rc. IMO! Huge Fan!
salut :) cette carrosserie est vraiment trop belle pour aller la faire rouler dans les rochers! et bien trop chère en plus ! merci pour la présentation, you are the best
That is the best representation I've ever seen with that style. Excellent work my friend. Rcbuilder247 my old rc work. Thank you so much rc girl, you kick ass trays
Yeah that’s awesome nobody post sticking through the hood I got 2 1979 Broncos just ruins the look of the body Man I love this truck I really appreciate you RC girl for sharing
Checked one out in person yesterday, same color. Love the look of it. I'm still not a huge fan of portal axles. And this looks a little high COG. But I might have to add one to the collection. Thanks for the detailed unboxing.
Awesome even has for a trailer hitch, you just put your receiver in this truck looks just awesome. Yeah gosh that reminds me I bought two of those receivers and we’re probably talking three years ago and they’re still in the bag appreciate you reminding me 🤣👍👍😎
I have the K10 Cheyenne version of the hightail in grey. They are so much fun. Especially with a high-power brushless system and 2.2 mud slinger tires. 20 mph mud rooster tails, in 2nd gear. lol

I like that one since it has the chrome mirrors too, technically the grill amd headlight bezels should be chrome too, idk why traxxas keeps making them in molded black

I was today old when I found out about the cruise control 🤦🏻♂️ Love this truck need to get me the black version. My Dad had this year Ford when I was a kid.
I'm only embarrassed when I go hiking without a tiny truck! 😉 That's a great-looking truck I had a bright orange 79 F-150.... I called it the Great pumpkin after Charlie Brown's Halloween special
Yeah my 1979 Broncos that’s what I always loved about driving it second gear or you do trailing walking, then you find a Spot, hey lucky there put it in that granny gear and do a little crawling I will be getting my receivers out of the bags yeah get them together 😁👍👍😎
For those who asked - The Chevy K10 High Trail and F-150 High Trail bodies are cross-compatible.
The clear F-150 body is part #9230. They should be available in May.

This video is great for so many reasons. One particular thing I LOVE is you don’t put music on which only distracts from listening to the truck!

as a Chevy Boy... That Ford is SWEET!
There's a very cool Chevy K10 pick-up version too. I think you're gonna love it.

Just bought one of these yesterday! It’s top heavy and rolls over pretty easily but love the lockers and super fun truck!
This is what I was wondering. We have two of the minis, High trail and Standard. Wife's doesn't roll over nearly as much.

Great review Hayley! Nice rig, point and shoot with those giant tires and all that clearance, lol. Love the light kit too.

Very cool truck. The brown metallic definitely suits the 70s vibe.
OMG that trailer hitch! A must have! VERY Cool! 😀
Just picked this very one up today. Can’t wait to hit the trails. Love the brown it looks way more 1979 than the blue.
Loving them head lights and the truck is freaky awesome. Definitely the Christmas gift for me 😊
Totally Love that Brown body work. Never thought I’d say that. Awesome looker.
excellent stream! very informative and detailed. Excellent Lighting kit build and super nice trail and performance.
Damn. Another RC car I need to buy. Really love the ground clearance and 2.2 wheels. Thanks for the video!
Fun to watch. I had a ‘76 F-100, same colour (the real thing 😄), this model take me back.
I just pick one up yesterday! It’s probably the best looking one Traxxas built!
