    The Sonic segment wasn't about drug use, but "harassment". The full segment goes as follows:
    "Kids. There's nothing more cool than being hugged by someone you like. But if someone's trying to touch you in a place or in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, _that's no good!_ It's _your_ body! No-one has the right to touch you if you don't want them to. So whaddya do? First, you say 'no!' Then, you get outta there! Most importantly, you've gotta tell someone you trust. Like a parent, teacher, or police officer!"

      @ThatGuyWithGlasses I believe Dr Robotnick made a female hedgehog like robot to make sonic do these tasks to win her affection while he tries to flood a city with a volcano, along with scratch and grounder, they also planned to kill him, but Robotnick made the mistake of giving Susie (That’s the female robot name by the way) actual feelings, which I can only guess he did for adaptability to what he does, but sonic wrote a poem for Susie, which causes her to turn against Robotnick and free sonic and have sonic save the two of them from getting crushed. Also Sonic saves the town, and Tails is suspicious of Susie to entire time. The episode is called Love Sick Sonic I believe, and it’s episode 3 of season 1.

    Fun Fact: In Meet The Spy, before the Blue Spy gets his head blown off, he says "He could even be..". The Red Spy then appears behind soldier and heavy, finishing the sentence by saying "Right behind you". In total, the full sentence is "He could even by right behind you".

    Quick advice. A spy disguised as a scout will move slower than the real one. You can use that to quickly identify them. Also your character doesn't clip through disguised spys so bumping into suspicious people is also an option.

      Scout: Too slow a disguise to work*
      Soldier: Too slow a disguise to work**
      Pyro: A good disguise
      Demo: INCREDIBLY glitchy for disguising. Not reccomended
      Heavy: Too slow a disguise to work**
      Engineer: A good disguise
      Medic: A decent disguise but if you're not healing people you might be suspicious.
      Sniper: Slightly too slow but hey it can work I guess, but you'd have to make it work
      Spy: Just kinda bad but I guess you being invisible would be more explained at least.
      *Scout runs much faster than spy and a scout disguise will not give that speed
      **I mean these CAN work but if you ever expect to reach your backstab target within the next 12 years it might be better to choose something else.
      Disguised spies always bump into buildings and players since they are the enemy team, after all
      Spies on stairs or around corners are dangerous, treat them like Katana demoknights
      If a spy has yet to kill you, you can let down your guard a bit, but if a spy has killed you even once, analyze their movements.

      @@kirbyfreakyt4695 Actually, you choose disguise not based on speed, but on how believable it is. And in this case it's this:
      - Scout: you would be out of place on enemy base(scouts do not hang around their own base too long), and low speed may give you away, but it's smallest size disguise, so it's good for hiding;
      - Soldier: good disguise only if your disguise health is low(otherwise "why this soldier isn't rocket jumping?" makes you suspicious);
      - Pyro: while it's decent disguise, Pyro is expected to spycheck everyone, so your cover will be blown very soon, since you can't spycheck. Good for frontlines, as you won't be expected to attack before getting into flamethrower range;
      - Demoman: average disguise. Good disguise near sticky traps, but your lack of explosive spam may give you away. Never disguise as Demoknight;
      - Heavy: good disguise, but slow. Since minigun slows Heavy down, you won't be expected to attack right away, and most players do not expect this disguise;
      - Engineer: good disguise near buildings, bad everywhere else. Your lack of spycheck will give you away, but standing on buildings of your disguise with no suspicion is helpful;
      - Medic: good disguise for frontlines, otherwise your lack of healing is instant giveaway;
      - Sniper: good disguise for sniping positions, but lack of scoping in eventually will reveal you;
      - Spy: good disguise among your own teammates, not so much for enemies;

      @@ceu160193
      Some players do defend as Scout. I do it from time to time. It's nice to be able to flank any Heavy Medic combo about to make trouble for the engineer and drop the medic quickly enough
      Not all Soldiers know how to rocket jump. So it would work either in a place with low ceilings, with a disguise target that's at low health, or with a target that's new to the game. Someone with unusuals, and that last one aint gonna work
      Yeah that Pyro one's correct, though I've seen a lot of pyros who just don't care about spychecking, so it's somewhat suspicious, but if they're, say, heading towards spawn with a Flare Gun, with low hp, then it kind of makes sense to see them there.
      Nobody disguises as Demoman. It might be a Demoman holding a flamethrower, or with missing legs, or... just... there are a LOT of glitches with a Demoman disguise, so it's risky but can be worth it if it works
      Disguising as a Hoovy is big brain, but also a war crime
      I only see engineer disguises failing when they're obviously a spy (Moving STRAIGHT FOR SOMEONE'S BACK). Engineers don't usually spycheck until they've had an encounter with a sneaky little frenchman, so Engineer disguises can actually work, and they have a reason to stand on, go towards, and be using buildings. The issue is, it's kind of the only good one if the team excepts the pyro to be constantly using Flamethrower to Spycheck so it's pretty obvious that the spy will probably be an engineer
      Battle medics exist
      but yeah most of the time it's just going to give you away. Now if the disguise target is on low health, however, and there are people of the Spy's team following them, it makes sense if the "Medic" is running from the "enemy" team on "low" health back to spawn and ignoring their teammates. Medics just kinda get to live first, and THEN decide who lives.
      A moving sniper is suspicious, but also powerful. It means they may even have spacial awareness. It's a good short term disguise... which is why every spy uses it when they're going to get the enemy snipers, or just... moving around. It's such a common disguise, you can just see through it, like Engineer disguises.
      Spy disguises make the uncloaking sound make more sense, but tbh everyone has the cloaking sound burnt into the back of their brain so you're gonna get shot at...

    3:26 Nope and it's fun watching new players playing Sniper try to shoot through glass windows.
    3:44 Some people who play Spy sometimes just stay invisible the whole match and relay information to their team. The Cloak and Dagger watch lets you stay invisible forever as long as you stay still. So, it's great for just gathering some intel on what the enemy team is doing and the state of their Medic's ubercharge. 10:52 interestingly, this is a major part of being a *ninja*
    They had a specific technique, I forget the name, but the entire point was “people don’t use their full field of vision.” When people are looking for someone, they don’t want to get attacked when staring at the floor, or the wall. So if you just kinda crouch near something of a similar color as you, people will be looking *around* for you, not directly at random objects for you. In the same technique, people who aren’t alerted tend to not look up past a certain point so if you hide in a corner of a ceiling or something, even if you’re right in front of someone, as long as they’re close enough to you they won’t see you. You don’t need to hide *behind* something if someone is walking past you, you just need to hide yourself somewhere they aren’t looking. Even if you’re just…sitting there

    You still seem to have problems with spies, a top tier spy will most likely stab you out of nowhere but there are some things you can easily implement in your game:
    - Swooshing Sound: The spy makes a really loud swooshing noise when he decloaks, its the same you hear when playing him, listen for it.
    -People screaming SPY: when hitting X then 2 your char screams SPY! When you look at a player he will scream The... Is a spy , when in doubt hack it
    -Creeper stare: Especially younger players and Streamsnipers get tunnelvision, when your teamates are staring at you or at nothing while they are away from the from the fighting you should try spychecking them.
    - There are 3 classes that are good at not getting stabbed: Pyro because Flamechecks
    Scout because you are quick and you never know where his back is next
    Soldier because of Rocketjumps, they make you manouverable, hard to reach and nothing is funnier then killing an enemy by the jump itself.
    -Drops: Spies always have a constant need for ammo and health, if it keeps disappering you might want to check corners for the baguette gobbler.

    X-com is a great example of just how important it is to always keep back up options and back up options for your back up options. If you have a low health enemy in sight (let's just say a Thin man) that can even slightly pose a threat and you DON'T have at least 2 soldiers in place with some form of guaranteed damage, you're doing something wrong. Because someday, when you take a 90% shot without a back-up option, you're going to miss and earn your favorite soldier a brand new hole in his brain. I've had it happen in a botched mission where I missed 3 crucial 80% shots in a row with my last 2 soldiers. They both get slaughtered after the enemy I was shooting hit 3 roughly 80% shots in a row.
    That entire fiasco happened because I was fighting an alien and tried to go for a risky flank that ended up waking up some aliens that I wasn't prepared to fight. Managed to down them (with a casualty), but before I could regroup more enemies showed up that I wasn't prepared to fight, and THEN a Sectopod showed up that I wasn't prepared to fight. A series of disaster dominoes that started because I covered a little too much ground a little too quickly and ended up out of position.

    I seem to play Spy only when i decide to goof around, and I end up doing what i call the "Nuisance Spy" strategy: sneak in with the CloaknDagger, appear in the most unexpected spot, and just mess with people to distract them so my team can just ambush opponents. My fav thing to do is just disguise as an Engie and sit on top of another Engie's stuff and yell out things real engies would say, and wait for the lightbulb in their heads to click, they should be able to phaze through a sentry or dispenser if it were on their team but if the Engie is a Spy, they would be bodyblocked by the spy. I would giggle for moments till they figure it out and i show myself. Another funny trick is disguising as my own team and use the DeadRinger to fake being dead, then fooling them altogether making them very surprised. My absolute favorite thing ever is sneaking up in the Box taunt on an enemy, they see me, i get up and stare, then out of nowhere do the Laugh taunt and instantly killbind. Nothing is funnier than hearing HAA- *dead* to me in Tf2. Also there is a couple hilarious bugs/glitches in the game where if Spy dies when disguised, his ragdoll doesnt appear like how other characters die. When a disguised Spy dies, a dead ragdoll is spawned but it spawns doing the ever funny Tpose and its one of the funnier things Spy does. The second one is sometimes a disguised Spy would be holding his own weapon like an Engineer with an Ambassador or another classes weapon altogether like Demoman holding Heavy's minigun, or the class will be missing something like Demoman's legs will be missing if they are using the booties or Pyro's head is gone if they have certain head cosmetics. Oh and one more thing, When Spy disguises as another class that is slower than them, which is a lot because Spy is the 3rd fastest behind Medic then Scout, if the picked class is slower, he will match their slower speed, but not match speeds of faster classes, revealing that a slow Scout is actually a spy.

      Ye but if you are disguised as another separate Engie it wouldn't make sense to another player, engies can go through other engies stuff so if you see an engie on top of another engie's stuff, surprise its a Spy

    His advice on architecture ended up fucking over the advice- people started using it

  • @Jirodyne
    @Jirodyne 2 года назад +7

    Another bit of Advice for a Spy player. There is a kill feed, and people paying attention, would see the person they just saw seconds ago got backstabbed. But more than that, would HEAR the death cry from a backstab, which is pretty loud, and they leave a body behind for a few seconds anyone coming around the corner will notice and see with the spy being the only person in the area, even if disguised.
    However, there is a Dagger with a powerful ability, but crippling curse. First, it removes your ability to use Disguises. You can no longer use the Disguise Item at all. Which can be Crippling as you can not longer just disguise and get behind people for an easy kill even in the chaos.
    But in return, if you DO manage to backstab someone, their body vanishes instantly, they don't make any sound, the backstab attack makes no sound, there is no Kill Feed of you killing the person, and you are instantly disguised as the person.
    In a game with friends using discord or voice chat, it's crippling and impossible to use, cause the person you just killed will tell people in voice chat/discord they died and there is a spy. But in a random game, with random people not talking and communicating with each other? It can be very devastating. Especially against newer players who doesn't know it exists.

    Apparently there’s a thing called selective blindness for example your attention and focus is drawn onto a certain or particular object or event where you don’t even notice anything else unless it causes a big enough problem to warrant your attention and it’s not even someone but can be something and it’s also a memory problem since that’s how we primarily identify danger or changes to our environment, such as something as as say
    A burglar breaks into your house but the door is unlocked, you notice small and subtle changes such as say the keys have been moved or that somethings seemed to have disappeared entirely or that the tv is slightly out of place, to something as big as say a car parked down the road that you have never seen before (Which could either be someone’s car, a new car that your neighbors bought or at worst it could have been stolen if not it could be a bomb) to the more mundane such as a building which you don’t remember being like that or even existing despite being there the whole time

Is it still common practice in western armies to purposly expose the enemy to a scenario that they have trained in extensively? That way you know what they will do, therefore you can lay a trap?

    It may surprise some, but i used to be a spy main. I rather take on the best spies in the world than even average sniper, because with the spy there is a counter play. My awarness vs their sneaky and visa versa. Making sure they don't get a trick stab, those high stress moments of hiding before a kill. All wonderful times with a spy...
    no... The class I hate...
    SNIPER... There is no counter play to the sniper except sniper. Then it's high noon. Everyone else just needs to stay out of his LOS. I often thing that he should be knocked out of scope and can't scope after being hit for a half second, just to give some way to push them out of their sight lines. To give a counter play if you are aware of the sniper.

    If you watch it closely you can clearly see the sniper was going for a melee hit, but because you stopped, he missed, and kept moving forward, failed to turn around and you backstabbed him. It's......... really not that complicated.
