This was so heart rending! I felt all the emotions in Mutinta's sigh when he asked her if she's happy with her new husband 😔. I was rooting for him, and then he dies at the end. Even more heart rending
What a sad ending to this short story...
The idiot just dddnt want to b real dad to his daughter
6mint into the video and I had to pause and write this… best English speaking African country I have seen so far…Am African too and a proud🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭we speak English too but these guys are on a different level ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
True you can't know a Zambian abroad.. only a Zambian can ....
Was a British colony
With all the broken English I heard
@@natashasakala2259 yes because you're Zambian you know the difference....
A very sad ending, sometimes prison changes people to become worse than they were before.
crime doesn't pay, that was a very sad ending
Felt really sad for william but it brought some nostalgia about thieves in Zambia they are always very articulate english speakers
She said, "Am I Your Rib?" WOW!!!! THAT'S THE DEEPEST QUESTION I'VE EVER HEARD anyone ask their mate or potential mate! I got chills when she asked that question. I believe if all women ask themselves and their man that question and he doesn't say, "yes!", then it's time to move on. But that was SUPER DEEP!
Yeah that hit me really hard.. And I instantly imagine if it was my woman asking me that question.. Fortunately that's is absolutely how I feel about her.
But damn it sure is a deep question
But the guy wasnot mature .
What if Mutinta's husband saw the kiss 😂
... and organized the shooting at the end of the story.
Could be maybe he set him up with the fake car and all
Exactly my thoughts
Wow... I didn't see the ending being sad at all. It was hopeful the whole time until it hit you from nowhere! I'm sorry for Christine that suddenly is without a father. May God fill that void and watch over her always!
That guard is annoying lol “ok,alright I think it’s time up”
It's called him doing his job and showing the reality of prisons
The guard is actually a good man.
I'm blessed by this.
Didn't know such Things happen in ZAMBIA 🇿🇲
So so sad😭😭 shouldn't have watched this till the end while I was in a happy mood😰😰
Me too
And we didn't notice that on 30th March 2020, this young man was shot dead, leaving behind his daughter. This life...
Thanks for update
I felt that happiness when, they say he got released but later on, he is no more. So sad 😔
This is so sad.... oh my god.....
And for my fellow brothers don't wait until prison teaches you that freedom is one of the most important things. Learn from this plz and avoid anything that can lead you into prison
"How could you kiss Mutinta" chai.. William 😂
Despite how funny it is, couldn't hold back my tears.
you know i miss him i saw him last the day i was helping him write a song for the wife in the video
Zambians speak really good English
Na I’m Zambian. People who speak good English, speak good English. Nothing to do with being Zambian 😭😭
Nyota hahahahaha she doesn’t knw Zambians can’t speak English they mix with Bemba and nyana.
At like sooo muonapo bwa Because I want to like go there nikapange ma plan😂😹😹😹
@@starj5114 I’m half Zambian and I’ve lived in a few African countries and have friends from most African parts n I realized the Zambians speak most clear English (accent wise)
@@josem3466 sinenzo kamba ati Zambian ni perfect koma wa ma kamba English yabwino compared to ma African countries yenangu 😩😩
@@Fallon_rogerz well some of us from cities grew up watching western shows so we picked their accents.
This man got a second chance at life which most don’t get, yet he chose to ruin it.
@Octobers Lazy Own well you might be right but most ex convicts go back to the same crime they were incarcerated for. Prison system don’t reform them so they come out with no skills but to go back to what they know how to do best.
I was like ugh, why am I able to hear what they are saying? and then realised..shit..I'm Zambian..lol
I hope your current husband will not see this Mutinta
My exact thoughts, or maybe that part was scripted it lacked genuine emotion
Yeah, he didn't get to see him, was shot dead in a stolen car.
@@sunammi5527 Not the gangster, I think he meant the documentary itself.
@@jarie10 they we’re just camera shy
hearting to see any brother separated from his child, i know that pain well
Point of correction "responsible men" should be ur quote
No one separated him from his daughter he did that on his own
Car thieves are always violent in their pursuit, it makes sense that he was gunned down.
Zambia is a very beautiful country though, people are nice, there's almost no difference with Uganda
William was just set up his not a car thief i know what am talking about i was with him in the video the guy that was helping him to write a song for the wife i know my boy he was innocent
As a Zambian I totally I agree , William choose to be killed
What a tragic story. I was glad when his case was struck out at the court, only for him to go back to his vomit. Such is life.
ooh my good Lord did it have to end in such a sad way 😢
Oh my gosh ! The ENDING ! I got chills!
Officer Hastings Siamoongya is da Man.. 😎
What a sad ending 😢😢
Iye that’s really how they sleep 😭😭😭😭 God help us 4:30. I usually watch many documentaries about far away country prisons I had no idea
Mutinta is married outside but not when she comes to that prison..She's so scandalous! If her husband watches this, he might be joining William in that over-crowded "cell"
*Judgy Judgeson has entered the room*
None of ur business
@@francescotierno2756 shut up..you really live up to you name but clearly your mind is not the only thing that's blind

😂😂😂😂😂, perfect comment, ignore the haters, jealous because you have a wicked sense of humour as well as good observation.
Crime does not pay... william R I.P
Is this woman ok?
*I'm I your rib?*
I laugh at things that aren't funny
She's asking innit😂😂
@@fbaybi 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How our flaws destroys beautiful things. You could that she really loved him.
Wasn't sure if it was a play or real. Brilliant project. Sadly not a happy ending.
Please we need another prison documentary
The game is the game, raised by the streets code, die by the streets code,RIP king.
Covid-19 would have ran rampant in that prison if inmates or prison staff brought it in
Exactly my thought when I saw how they live and sleep ☹️😞😔
William even kissed her 😭😭 this marriage will end shame ba mutinta
ONCE A BADBOY ALWAYS A BAD BOY BUT DEEP DOWN WE ALL GOOD GUY
I cannot beliave he is died😭😭😭 what a sad end 😭😭😭
Heartbreaking
Although I disagree with BBC EYE at times, if this story is authentic, it is horrible that human rights could be abused in that way.
Just wondering why you would disagree with BBC eye? the investigative journalism done by the team has (to me) always about exposing the truth
@@bluebelle42The British enjoy seeing Africans being poor and ratcheted. Hence they put on display those who are poor and destitute, show how need the people are. They do not show good things about its people. I think that is sad and racist.
The story is very true
@@calpag as an African(Nigeria) pls what fucking good thing is happening on this continent? War and poverty everywhere.i see nothing good happing.
@@bluebelle42 I live under British rule and based on my memories they generally have deviant reporting of Black people, but never look at their atrocities. It was common during their brutal role to have black African slaves' butts wiped to the bone by their appointed slave masters while raping the women and then putting the bastard son to govern the slaves on the plantain. This is worse than what they are reporting in Africa.
Damn what a story
That ending😯
lady ur married already. whst do you think u husband will feel when he watches this??
Stivo ladies love bad boys. That’s why she is all in for the guy. At all cost
We in Africa we understand very well that conversation.
I dont know if you are African but any Aftican understand that conversation. Her husband k ows she was to meet him.
Secondly she had already a child with the jailed guy and still got married .
In Africa thats very very rare so we need to also think of what kind of man married
A single mother?have nothing against single mothers but i jnow that its a very big huddle in Africa.so she must be the one in charge and he might be what they call a Bum in the west.
No self respecting man in Africa who goes out and gets a job and sweats his ass off will take a woman whoes former boyfriend is in jail for murder and theft and has already a child with him.
Waoooo.i can see and African Family dismissing her immediately and in Africa family approval is very Vital.in deed its even the most important entity. You dont marry a person in Africa. You marry a family amd sometimes a village
I am not comfortable with words like this. Ya a lot of things has to change Lmaaaooo
Prisons in Zambia need more people to help with mental issues, where are all the psycho social counselors? Govt needs to invest more
Does anyone know the soundtrack at the very end?
I was really vouching for him... but my dude just went out and stole a car... really William? you naaa mean?
So this whole part of her asking him am I your rib. Maybe she isn’t married at all? Cause takwaba guys! How you husband supposed to feel honestly.
She is opportunistic... A snake
Street life i think.
I think she is in control and the new husband is just a wise street guy who has found a free ride along.
No self respecting African man with a job will marry a single mother wjose ex is a car thief and suspected murderer.
Common we know how that works back home
Sad ending
Sad end.I thought William would change and get back together with his ex wife. The woman loved him with his dark side.
A facility designed for 250 people is now hosting 1000 people ish our government should really do something about this and to make matters worse 😠 you have to wait to years for trial
Welcome to Africa
GOD IS FAITHFUL
BBC always you showed us, something negative about africa, so you have to stop that.
What is wrong with this documentary?
One of the lessons we Africa and we Africans should draw from it is we have the moral obligation to have prison structures that do not dehumanize, but that rehabilitate.
Last time I watched a documentary about prisons in Haiti and told myself if I were a political person in that country I would have used the history to justify the idea that prisons must be the places that do not dehumanize otherwise we justify the past by the way we treat ourselves.
William William you have disappointed me 😩.please other remanded/prisoners.,if given a chance like William please make good use of it, turn your life around for the better.
Dude, theres alot to be done with africa and our politicians seem not to care about us so the light in the good is always eclipsed by the bad.But in some cases i agree with you like the idea that all africans ride lions to school and live in the sahara desert in a hut, thats just poverty porn.
For this im giving u a like :)
Yo what up with the rib thing ? 🤣🤣🤣
Interesting facts
Unfortunately for him old habits die hard... What a way to end life
Nairobi 😔😔😔
Not grasping or gripping those concepts are very punishing

Reasons why I avoid women with children..... Why doesn't she respect her current husband not meeting up with her baby daddy, This is confusing the child am sad about the ending but I fell relieved for the lady's poor husband.
A secpnd chance rarely comes by. You should take it and do your best. Unlike our friend.
Great story and the lady wanted to take another decision about her boyfriend and married affair.....so now I believing love😘

Haaaah🙄 😒😒🤔 I don't buy. The one guy they decide to interview in te jail has such a crazy dramatic story.
Why is the guard involved in their lives? It’s none of his business.
It is africa, everyonr see you and wanna be your dad. Lol
You reap what you sow
Be good reality show
Why did she come to see him as a married woman.
FLAME TORCH!!!
Is this dude a corrections officer or a marriage therapist? SEEMS FAKE
IN AFRICA PEOPLE DO ACT LIKE THE OFFICER.
He is an officer specialising in a radical Counselling programme to reconcile people in prison with their families.
This is real. Some prison officers are really kind.

That’s the meaning of Jail it’s not supposed to be enjoyed.so they must behave.look at the end this chicken William still went back to his old ways.rubish
Willy, the streets lost a real nigga. Rest in peace
Yes,exactly. A car thief.
It’s the colonial legacy that our own people repetitions if not made it worse. The entire African forget to use their heart and conscious and follow on policy that is inherited from the colonizer . Wake the hell up and remember your own culture. Each one reach one and teach one .
Jezebel's .. what sort of nonsense. Not a woman to be trusted.. she will always turn. When an opportunity serves her right
Mutinta is still in love with him.. He needs to fight and get out of jail for his family
Watch till the end. He is dead.

This guy needed a jail term. He was released too early
why does this seem staged....Acting like a skit
