I am British married to an American. The first year of our marriage, he was always getting offended at my lack of tact and sarcastic humour. He didn't believe it was a British thing until we moved to UK!
British humour is identical to Aussie humour. We all love Nan. She's a product of her generation and is completely outrageous.

And 'bum' in US is like a homeless person. In UK it's the arse (ass).

On holiday year’s ago we heard an American talking about her fanny pack 😆😆🤦♂️ someone explained that it’s the equivalent of a bum bag. Which would probably cause just as much amusement the other way around 😂👍😆😆
My old Mum was watching Murder She Wrote and one of the characters started talking about her fanny being sore after a bike ride. My Mum was in stiches.

Unfortunately that wasn’t the whole clip it’s missing the beginning and the end. Catherine Tate Lauren character is also really funny. Harry Enfield the chemist character is also really good.
