Is she of Irish descent? I've always wondered if she is or not, she went to Catholic schools, her portrayal of Irish nurse Bernie, and the gay son characters.
I think one of your problems compared with your friend. That you have a deeper understanding of English humor. You have bought so much of it that you have. You have an empathy with the nuances. Your appreciation of Catherine Tate is excellent.
Hi Eddy - Loving the energy you bring to your comedy reactions! You're my go-to comedy reactor - I swear you are almost as funny as the sketches themselves! Hope you get chance to show Tyler Catherine Tate's "Boob Job Babe" and "Sexual Harrassment" (my absolute favourite). Thanks for what you do ... 😊
That's right . I was born in Belfast . Sectarianism. I was made to go out and stand in the pavement to watch the Orange March. I was four years old . And for me the vibe wasn't good . Even so young. So this really made me laugh like a drain . The drums and tin whistles of the march were Orannge March sounds. But for Gay Pride . Fekking hilarious. This, I feel was a Catherine Tate classic . Just brilliant. I fancied all the apprentice boys though . Tossing their battons. CatherinTate is a genius comedian. I love that she is getting such appreciation from you American folk. I can't get enough of watching this . 😂😂😂😂
Oh guys, there are layers and layers of Irish history, ideologies parochialism, nationalism, republicanism and outright rebellion (not to mention family feuds)....., damn sure we have a sense of humor or we never would have survived. In the great words of me 'you'll have to be laughing now lads or we're fucked, no time for anything else but destruction' Sort your gear, we're going to have a proper fight'
It's northern Ireland but the accents changed from town to town and even out side the same town in the country side the accents different again it's what the townies say they talk really country or refer them to as turfers nd up round Antrim the accent sounds more Scottish
Great IRISH humour. Ye 2 have lovely Irish accents, where abouts are ye from ? FYI, Ireland was never at war with England, "They" came to the Emerald Isle and did the damage they did worldwide . " Our day will Come " 🫡😉 ...☮️💚
All the bloody headphones it's all unnecessary it's just showing off we have technology now so you don't need this crap . This is why I'm deliberately not using anything like this in my videos. And by the way we want to see the video not hear you talking to your mate
That's what a reaction's for, for god's sake. I'm sorry but if you want to watch it without pauses, it's probably best to go and watch the original video.
I've really been enjoying your reaction videos, thank you. Just to point out that despite the pro British propaganda nonstop in the media - so-celled 'northern ireland' always was and still is Ireland. No one would debate whether an accent was a 'Northern England' or and England accent. They are all equally England and English. The same for Ireland despite British colonisation. The accent she is doing is inner city Belfast but a few of her words sound like a Derry city accent [certainly not the British colonial so-called 'londonderry]
No, it's not dear - as full well you know. Northern Ireland is a separate political entity from the Republic of Ireland and is part of the United Kingdom. The rest of your comment makes no sense at all, particularly your reference to the Londonderry/Derry accent. I think you are a bit mixed up.
Or occupied & unoccupied Ireland lol. Some non English people might distinguish between northern and southern British accent(s) or even say southwest or southeast tbf.
We definitely do differentiate between Northern and Southern England’s accents. Even in Liverpool, I can tell the difference in accents between the North and South of the city. I’m from the North of Liverpool and of Irish (Eire) immigrant heritage, so my accent reflects that. Up until around 15-20 years ago my area was mostly populated by families who moved out of the original Irish community in Scotland Road in the mid-20th century, many of whom were Irish language speakers or had Irish speaking parents and this has had an impact on the accent. For example saying “fillim” instead of “film” is perfectly normal where I grew up 😁 It’s also a bit more guttural/Celtic sounding in the North, if you think about the sounds of the Welsh and Scottish languages. I’m in my 40s, and I had Irish language speakers in my great grandparents generation.
As a Belfast person I have NEVER EVER EVER heard someone do a better Belfast accent than Catherine Tate
She’s so talented
Ats us nai 👍😎
She went to my school. Only girl in the 6th form - Salesian College - Battersea
Is she of Irish descent? I've always wondered if she is or not, she went to Catholic schools, her portrayal of Irish nurse Bernie, and the gay son characters.
She's so versatile!
I'm a Texan but I primarily watch British, Irish, Scottish shows. CT is hysterical.
Scottish is british as well.
The scottish would not like to hear that
@@bloodcottoncandy you don’t speak for all of them though and the vast majority do identify as British.

The Actress on the balcony beating the rug is one of the main characters in GAME OF THRONES.
Aye, it’s Catelyn Stark, Lady of Winterfell & wife of Ned Stark 🐺
Yeah the skit is called the Ulster Mum and it’s parodying circa 80s Northern Ireland. It’s hilarious 🤣
As others say, it Northern Ireland accents.
Ireland itself had a referendum in 2015 about legalizing gay marriage with 60% voting yes 😊😊
So only 40% want gays to be happy 😂

It's northern Irish, more sharp sound than southern. I lived their 3 yrs, it seems harsh at first, but the warm when you get the accent is clear.
I tend to think of the vowel sounds as favouring "ai" sounds, whereas ROI seems to have more of an "oi" sounds
Harry Enfield was pure brilliance, I couldn't agree more.
Sooo funny man. She is OUT THERE.
I always thought your backdrop was a double headboard? 😂👵🇬🇧
I love part 2 to Catherine Tates gay son
I can't believe you just mentioned my home town Newry 😮

Catherine Tate is fantastic.....what about Victoria Woods....".dinner ladies "
She does a character called Uncle Derek.. I recommend you give that a view when you get the time..
One of my greatest regrets is that my dad died and I never got to show him the Cathrine Tate translator video!

Northern Ireland.
Kat stark with her rug
As an English person I have never been able to under the Belfast accent.
.....................only in a perfect world!
Guys - that's a West/North Belfast accent.
😂 it’s more about Irish mothers they don’t care what their kids are , they’ll fight to the death for them
In Australia it’s “Poofter”. 😂
We had that slang in England too but more in the 70’s and 80’s I think
@ZiggyonMars my boomer dad still uses it
@@ZiggyonMars We have a gay bar/club called Poof Doof here. That’s its actual name. 😂

Stop with the excessive chat in between it spoils the video. Chat before and after.
Nothing spoils a video more than to keep stop starting the video all the time. Just watch it and talk after, not hard to do.
Stop whingeing it's a reaction! 😒
