    I put a multi Williams in my old stargate and it works great. I was wondering about VGA mode .The directions say"Ensure the VGA enable is OFF when used in an original cabinet !" I think what they mean is VGA is off when RGBVHG wires are connected to a CRT, or when VGA jumper is enabled a CRT is not connected but all the buttons and coin door original cabinet is ok to use ? also do you know what code they use to upload files on the j rom jammers ?

    Where can I find a quality JAMMA harness which has wiring thick enough to handle an old-school PCB?
    I've heard that the cheap $10 harnesses cannot handle the power supply of an old PCB.

    Great tutorial on JAMMA. Just last week I picked up my first working arcade machine its a Carnival king. I got thinking would it be possible to get some kind of a JAMMA switcher to switch between Carnival King and a 60 in 1 board or Pandoras box? The monitor is 38" Digonal and thats pretty much all I know about it. If there is such a switcher would there be a problem with resolution switching from one game to another? Thanks.

    • @moomert1
      @moomert1  3 года назад +1

      Assuming we are talking about "America" style joysticks with cherry switches, there is no right or wrong way. When wiring up the joysticks, the "UP" wire goes on the lower switch. The "Down" wire goes on the Upper switch. The "Left" wire goes on the right and the "Right" wire goes on the left.

    Hi, great video. Thank you. I have two questions please. 1) Can you swap existing buttons in a Jamma cabinet to LED buttons? Will it power the light up or is something extra needed for the power? 2) I want to swap out my existing buttons and joystick with an X-Arcade dual joystick. Can I swap the connections over and just connect three buttons per player? Thanks in advance.

    • @moomert1

      1. Yes you can swap buttons. I have never used light up buttons but I'm thinking you would need to draw additional power from your power supply.
