It felt smoother with tune during shifts, the power is also noticeable at higher rpms. If I shift from 1 to 2 near red line the front end kicks up about an inch. Also I did a burble tune so it def sounded better with the tune. I was getting 39 wheel hp after tune. Stock I believe is 35 at the wheel. Very slight but noticeable
@@RickyMotoso what does that exactly mean does it just run higher rpm’s? And so you have any idea if it makes a big deal down the road in terms of making the engine wear out more etc
I no longer have the bike but according to new owner the carbon pieces help up pretty well. I got it all from eBay I just searched carbon fairing for r3
It depends on the type of aftermarket if it has the cats or not. Best bet is to keep the oem pipe to swap out during inspection time. If not u can always throw a couple bucks at the guy to let u slide
@@xsoobeastly3256 it depends. Some brands have diff headers, but if ur doing a slip on exhaust with stock headers the tone shouldn’t change much, just louder. Idk about the design of other brand headers but the akrapovic had like an H pipe style front header which created a deep almost muscle car note rumble
If it’s custom you can request the burbles, a lot of piggy back or preset tunes might not have the same effect. Custom tunes are catered to what mods are already on the bike and if you want flames/pops the tuner can have that done for you. The brand/company doesn’t matter as long as they can build a custom map for you based on what you want

Personally I like the r3 for its style and also resell value is hot. U can sell it for what u get it for or even more due to hype. The duke 390 will deliver a bit more torque and upright seating if that’s what your going for
Problem with doing this or worse - full exhaust is you lose what people think is "back-pressure" misnomer, really they're referring to exhaust scavanging. By changing out your exhaust alone without the necessary ECU tune you lose torque at the low end. It's really noticeable for bikes with full exhaust change. The engineers put a lot of work in the stock exhaust setup which go hand in hand with performance. It's a crazy sounding thing put just a little change like this can have a huge impact on the performance. Most people don't even care or will even notice as their ass-dynos don't even know as long as it goes "vroom"....
I noticed that when I got the ecu tuned, it felt so much smoother and consistent in the power. Without tune low end just felt inconsistent almost like it wanted to stall
Definitely redeemed the sound compared to other videos... try to make your videos less lengthy... it's not like where listening to any of the talkin.. waste of 4min in 4:55 sec clip.. we watched 45s of it. 🤣🤣🤣
@@RickyMoto congrats Brotha, I have a question what you suggest. I’ve been in the market for an R3 for months now and their sold out still. They have a Mt-07. They’re trying to convince me to get it because I would get bored of the R3 less than Year.
Yea I’d say an r3 won’t take long to grow out of. A mt07 is a great bike, the power Is manageable like the r3 since it’s also a cylinder, but it has a bit more of a kick with torque
I will say the dual tip toce looks sick and better design wise, it was one of the options I was looking at when buying an exhaust but then wasn’t pleased with the tone compared to the Akra for my personal taste
It still tops out about the same max around 113-120ish mph. But with mods you’ll really only see a gain around 0-60. Stock was hitting 5.3s and after mods like 4.9-5
Was thinking of just getting a slip-on, but I guess you convinced me to get the full system.
Slip on is nearly as same as the stock one.
Sounds amazing, I got an R3 a month ago, and i'm definitely rocking a full system
That’s the move!
3:08 you're welcome
2 vids at once sheesh
What camera do you use??? It’s awesome
Eos r6
Did you use power commander and dyno after changing the full exhaust?
I got a ecu tune
how did you repalce the side tuen signals on the bike. I been looking around and cant seem to find the replacement you have
It’s from Tst industries, flush mount

Who did you get your tune through. And was it just a flash tune or did you install a power commander
Bauce racing, it was a ECU tune i sent it in the mail and they tuned it then sent it back
Hi Ricky. With the full exhaust, do you notice any difference in pwr or torq when riding after the ecu tune?

Do aftermarket exhausts still pass emissions? If not, how would you go about passing when the time comes?
It depends on the type of aftermarket if it has the cats or not. Best bet is to keep the oem pipe to swap out during inspection time. If not u can always throw a couple bucks at the guy to let u slide
Exactly, always keep oem parts and only delete the cats if you're confident you can reswap them for inspection.
And check with your state/county emission laws some don’t even require it
do all exhaust systems in general make the bike louder and sound better no matter the brand of it? or is it brand specific?
any exhaust sound better & louder than stock, the brand differences is mainly to do with the tone. Some pipes are higher in pitch, some are deeper etc
@@RickyMoto thanks! so sound and tone is just for the brand of muffler right? and the exhaust header itself will sound the same no matter the brand?

does every R3 sound like that with a full akra exhaust ? holyyy
Tone wise yes. The pops and bangs was from tune
@@RickyMoto what tune specifically?
Hey ricky , what specifications did you get for your ECU tune aside from a burble tune? Not sure what I should put in the form?
These are the specs
Lower fan temp settings (on/off 205/195)
· Disable decel fuel cut for on/off throttle smoothing
· Disable AIS valve
· Disable stock O2 sensor
· Custom ignition mapping to help reduce engine braking, make more power and smoother throttle transition
· Fuel mapping changes for aftermarket exhaust
You have installation step by step vid?
I don’t sorry
did you ecu tunrd?
Yezir custom flame/burble tune from bauce racing
Does the exhaust also pops and bangs with the dB killer?
Haven’t tried, but if u tune it, it should work I’ve seen videos of ppl with pop/bangs with the baffles in
Damn this sounds really bad ass
appreciate it!
Can you take the sticker/ logo off the exhaust?
Yea but I’d recommend doing so prior to installing exhaust b/c the heat melts the adhesive stronger
How much did the tune cost if you don’t might me asking
280
La moto anda menos ? Reacciona menos ? Porque dicen que se descomprime mucho con un full Sistem y que tiene menos reacción que con el escape de fabrica , esto es así ?
The reduced back pressure from full exhaust will make low end torque a bit sluggish but after a tune it corrects it and rides smoother and faster
Do you have to wear earplugs when riding because of the noise?
I have the slip on and it’s too quiet
Also did you get a tune or a block off plate?
I have a full system with tune and no block offs. I don’t wear earplugs
Wear earplugs . Earplugs are for wind noise not exhaust noise . Either that or prepare to be deaf in a few years . Learn from the old my dude .
