Thanks for what you do Jimmy. I’ve just started a couple years ago; consistency is a biggie for me. But your down to earth, unpretentious advice is helping; and with regards to putting,: you’ve single-handedly made me a killer from anywhere on the green. 3 putts are all but a thing of the past. And the “wave at the camera” is starting to click as well. Can’t thank you enough.

This was hilarious! I started being able to play good golf the minute I realized that all I need was basic fundamentals and was never going to be Tiger Woods! A friend told me a long time ago that I should be able to use a broomstick to play bogie golf and he was right. You are the man!

As an amateur, only half decent equipment is required. With a $500 set, bought about a dozen years ago, I hit just as well as anyone else who shoots 85 or over. So much of money spent...is more about ego....than real actual performance improvement. My guess is that most could never even measure any significant improvement....from spending thousands of dollars on new stuff. In the end, the ego of having expensive clubs.....is largely just a big joke.

Once your learn how to really use it, good equipment is important.

One of my friends, late 60's but shoots low 70's gets hus clubs from thrift stores, garage sales, you name it. He tells me the same thing as you and beaten me almost always. He's a big fan of Jimmy, too. I a. Stuck out of state, and have his old 56° mizzuno that's old but still is great and a sa. Snead 3i I bought for $4 at goodwill. I can hit the 3i off the deck, pretty straight, but I promise there is no way it compares to new tech. Good equipment isn't the end, all be all, but it sure does work better in almost every situation in terms of distance, forgiveness, and shotshape. If you ever get an upgrade, you will appreciate tge better technology

@@TropicanaEntertainment On the whole, I challenge that....unless you're actually at the pro level....or maybe up to 10 handicap, more or less,. The difference in performance between my clubs...and someone who spends $4,000 for their kit.....is likely very minimal...for a standard amateur golfer. I'm not talking about bargain bin clubs. I"m talking about clubs like my own......which is a $500 set...with a few additions to wedges and a few used upgrades....to the driver plus a 7 wood. On the whole, you can't tell me that the ,money spent....equates to real improvement. The biggest problem for amateurs....is simply consistency. After that is firmly established....then yes....the money spent probably adds in a little bit of improvement. My brother shoots constantly in the 80s or so....with all old clubs...and it's been decades since he ever bought anything new. Always buys used...and not very often at all. If you were to tell amateurs to come back to buy new clubs...when they can hit consistently, you would likely never see at least 95% of them ever again....lol. That is the point I'm making. Your consistency you show in your vids....is generally a rare thing on the golf course.

Jimmy, I Love your content. I like the way you teach, I like it when you team up with Manolo, I like it when you play with the other guy (please forgive me I can't remember his name.) Funny hispanic gentleman with a thick accent. But recently you've started shooting videos with your daughter, and I think that is very special. I hope that you keep it up. Thanks Again.

The videos are great Jimmy! This morning I shot one of my best rounds in three weeks. More improvement on my side needed. I have a question for you, I'm 65 and have some back issues. This is affecting me and my driver. I'm only getting 150-155 off the tee. Now going much straighter thanks to you. I haven't had a chance to check all your videos, I was wondering if you have anything for improving yardage? I see my local pro twice, but I still hitting short. I hit 6/7 fairways this morning and 15-25 yards more off the tee would reduce my score more.
    You do great work.

Jimmy, I got good news! And I got bad news. Taking my gap wedge, ball back of stance, swinging the V, I can finally hit the green from 100 yards out. Hit the green from 100 yards 4 out of 9 holes today. Like, I actually had to repair pitch marks on the green.
However.... Now I've completely forgotten how to putt so now for the first time in my life instead of averaging 2 putts per hole, I've been 3 and 4 putting everything so my scores are still the same. My putting confidence is completely gone now so that's a new one lol

@@TropicanaEntertainment I've been having commitment issues. I'll do a couple practice swings to get the weight I want. Then setup to the ball. Pull back the putter and as soon as I start to bring it forward I second guess everything, slow down, and leave everything a mile short.

    I bought a set of Calloway X12's.
Have since bought a new driver, big berth a war bird just was not getting it.
Roughly a ten handicap, can shoot a 38, up to a 54. Depending.
Would really like a new set, but would they help? Or, should i,
