Love how you are now showing your fabric collections. Easy and adorable block thanks for sharing. 👍❤️😊
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching.
This is a great block that I love and look forward to using. Thanks for the great tutorial as always. ❤
You are so welcome!
How would I make the pieces larger? Is it a formula? I love to make stars with HSTs most want flying geese.
This block is a 5 x 5 grid. Each unit (the square and half square triangle) in the grid is 2" finished. That makes the block 10" finished
- If you increase the units to 3" finished, the block will be 15" finished.
- If you increase the units to 2.5" finished, the block will be 12.5" finished.
Hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
Many, many years ago back in the hand piecing days, we were tight how to enlarge or,reduce sizes of blocks but when machine sewing became popular and shops held classes, these “old fashioned” tips were left by the roadside! I’m lucky to be one id those from the “olden days” when I learned how to do this, and I pretty much just automatically do the math in my head. So thank you so much for the help you gave to make these changes - and these blocks could go smaller if a person wants a challenge!!!
And what a fun name for a block!!! Love it!😊😊
Thanks
