My local pond got small blue gills and bass
I upgraded the reel on my Dock Demon to a Zebco ZSE20 so I modified the Dock Demon reel to fit my PEN ROD and this combo works fantastic.

you should try the pen rod against a jack and you might want to toss a reel with some smoother drag on it just so it doesn't explode if you get slammed lol nice catch btw
