“'The Generation Of Danger' is a concept album about a genius scientist who gets fed up with being swept under the rug. After the multi-billion-dollar corporation that employs him takes credit for his latest, award-winning invention, he snaps and retaliates against them by forcing them to take part in the greatest experiment the world of science has ever seen.”
Tallah's cruelly ferocious new album 'The Generation Of Danger', due for release on 18 November 2022 via Earache Records and recorded once more with producer Josh Schroeder at Random Awesome Studio, will only serve to extend their fascinatingly dark nu-core metal further into the metal community, continuing to build the beast Tallah have created and set loose.
Max Portnoy says of the new album: “'The Generation Of Danger' is a new era for Tallah’s music. We’ve gotten overall heavier with this album, while tapping into elements that we’ve never experimented with before. There’s a lot of new sounds and songwriting here to showcase what else we can do without sacrificing the heaviness or core sound that we established with 'Matriphagy'.”
Justin continues: “'The Generation Of Danger' is a completely new and fresh concept for us, both lyrically and instrumentally. We wanted to take what made 'Matriphagy' so good and jack it up to 150%. The tracks are monstrous, daunting, and the story the music tells dives into the idea of people hiding what they truly desire until someone else comes along and forces it to surface."
With 'The Generation Of Danger', Tallah have opened up the doors to a highly detailed dystopian world for fans to explore and piece together. The first single and video taken from the album, “Telescope”, serves as the stepping-off point into this world - fans are highly encouraged to pay attention to every detail.
As with 'Matriphagy', 'The Generation Of Danger' offers fans more than just an album of pioneering nu-core metal. Whilst it will most certainly be lauded for Justin's acclaimed aptitude for embodying numerous characters and emotions in his outstanding vocal shape-shifting, celebrated for its breathtakingly turbulent dynamics and exemplified for the way it melds the ever-blossoming ingenuity of Tallah's intrepid musicians, 'The Generation Of Danger' will reward those who delve deeper into the album and its supplementary content.

Tallah and Cane Hill really are the best bands of the Nu-Metal revival. They combine all of our favorite 90's bands together perfectly with their own unique twist.
I’d somewhat include the new metalcore/hardcore adjacent bands like Knocked Loose or Kublai Khan in there too. They definitely aren’t full on nu metal but you can definitely hear a lot of nu metal elements in there.
Not heard Cane Hill, will do! King 810 are my other favourite with Tallah.
Vein FM are in that mix.
You said that right
Haven't heard of Cane Hill but Tallah are bringing Nu Metal back stronger than ever. Throw in Tetrarch and Blood Youth and we've got Nu Metal back with a vengeance. 🤘💪
Mike Portnoy can be so fucking proud of his son!!! Max is amazing!!!
Oh, cool! Glad I read the comments; would've never known
I'm always getting some serious old school Slipknot vibes when listening to Tallah. The sound and style is obviously different, but it hits so fucking hard! Tasty guitars, beyond-this-world vocals, and raw drums. What a band!
Same af dude
Tallah are literally the band that's pushing metal forward the most right now. Nothing but praise 🤯
I mean, it's late 90s nu metal but it's amazing
@@omegazx7236 I was in my teens for most of the 90's .. Fear Factory ,Korn ,Limp Bizkit and Slipknot were dominating nu metal and keeping their unique sounds .. It didn't at all sound the same then and Tallah is rocking their own sound now .. I don't know how you came to your conclusion but it seems lazy .. I am not big on labels anyway 🤘
Veil of Maya dropped flames today too.. check out Synthwave Vegan if you haven't heard it yet 🔥 🤘
New to metal man?
1:20 - 1:30 has already been done before, and better by Mudvayne - "Nothing to Gein".
Edit: Or shit, my fucking hometown's band Mushroomhead's "qwerty".
@@grindcoreninja6527 I think Tallah is defiantly rocking it harder than Mushroomhead is these days.
Tallah literally don't have a bad song in their catalogue! This band are unreal.

@@bennyhaha66 grammar police*
@@bennyhaha66 they're several people, right ?
@Crøst Dærgön if he said "The band members are unreal", then it would be "are". Instead he's describing the band as a whole, which is one thing, so it's "is".
@@Robin-tt4lo thank you
Thanks again for letting me being an extra 🤘. Song turned out more wild than ever imagined. Derricks solo was out of left field and insane! The dog outfit was menacing AF and I enjoyed all my cameo shots! Here’s to hoping my feet 🦶 don’t end up on foot fet sites 😂💀👨🏻🎤🤘
My dude!! Much love ❤️❤️❤️
@@DerrickSchneider dude you already be knowin’! That guitar solo was absolutely brutal and heinous! Just the way I like it! 🤘💀👨🏻🎤 Keep up the insane guitar work and I’ll keep spreading the word!
They already are. Internet works fast.
FCK YEA!!!!
y’all are gonna give me a heart attack.
The fact that Tatiana from Jinger shouted these guys out defiantly means they're doing something right. 🤘🤘
When was this??
Thanks for checking it out!!

why defiantly
I swear tallah isn't even capable of releasing a bad song. You guys fucking rule!!!
I'm sure they're capable of it. They just dont 🤘
Only two albums in so far. Most bands were killer that early. Bands tend to fall off later. Let's hope they never do!!
@@Aenigmakil ehhhh, lots of Bands really aren’t great when they start. But I think Tallah will be a lot like jinjer as far as consistency.
@@travisspaulding9540 which bands do you like that started out not good but got better for you? I think the only band I think I like that didn't start good but got way better is Arctic Monkeys. Everyone else from extreme metal to softer rock, I at least liked the debuts. But yeah Jinjer rule too. Actually, they just keep getting better with each album imo!
@@Aenigmakil haven’t listened to early arctic monkeys but I believe you. Imo (and a lot of people May get upset over it) but A7X improved so much after the first release, ESPECIALLY M. Shadows. Sevendust was already solid on their first release but doing writing ability improved after that record. I believe there are more but these are the ones I can think of immediately.
Tallah is a new Slipknot.
i can hear the slip knot aspect in this song
Slipknot if they were good
O' I wish I knew you; you were already dead!
And if I could've, know I surely would've
-Already dead
Disasters will blow through a second time
Just to make it certain no one somehow dropped behind
And you will form yourself around me
Life falls right into groove
Paint it red
-A child's tracing of the shape that was once you
I left my honor at the desk
Somewhere in Bruges or Quincy
I want no reward; I've lost interest in that crowd
It's so much easier to function with no guise of safety
If I'm so cruel, invite your god to strike me down
Retract, withdraw, collect, push out, reform
-The process of creation from my own perspective
And it's hard to make connections
When the flesh gets so decrepit
Still, regret is for the lonely man
I pride myself in all I have done
Look how they formed themselves around me!
Life falls right into groove
Paint it red
-A child's tracing of the shape that was once you
I cut the whole and sculpt it into something new
And pure-relaxed-your worthless blood made true
That demands attention!
I'll make it happen 'cause I'm better than you
You're disappointed, but it's only 'cause I'm better than you
I suffered, and it made me so much better than you
Now, it's your turn to weep, and it's my turn to rule
Rip you in half because I'm better than you
I can build you into greatness or be better than you
I'll eat your dreams just to see what makes me better than you
Now, it's your turn to weep, and it's my turn to rule
I'm freaking out because I'm better than you!
You're disappointed that I'm better than you!
I'm only someone 'cause I'm better than you!
I'll make it happen 'cause I'm better
I left my honor at the desk
Somewhere in Bruges or Quincy
I want no reward; I've lost interest in that crowd
It's so much easier to function with no guise of safety
If I'm so cruel, invite your god to strike me down
I'll make it happen
No in-betweens
You're picture-perfect!
I left my honor at the desk
Somewhere in Bruges or Quincy
I want no reward; I've lost interest in that crowd
It's so much easier to function with no guise of safety
If I'm so cruel, invite your god to strike me down
Retract, withdraw, reform me into something new
And pure-relaxed-my worthless blood made true!
He'll make it happen if he's better than me
Now that would demand attention!
The scratching is so fucking gnarly Mewzen you've outdone yourself yet again.
Let's be real here, the ppl in the back w the animal heads are the real MVPs for sitting through the whole song without headbanging.
Anyone else remember when Justin did vocal lessons on RUclips? Now his band is doing amazing, love these guys.
He still does vocal lessons now, but he does them professionally. He either does them through appointments, or he'll sometimes share stuff on livestreams. He also made a video a while ago addressing his own old vocal tips and explaining problems with them.
Justin went from a guy who made albums for a niche audience, then became a problematic figure in the metal community and once humbled found the success he deserved. Dude's been a masterpiece in the making for years.
Love how raw and nasty this is!
Oh shit it's Finn yoooh
Yet so technical too! Each instrumental has its own narrative that is interesting enough to follow. Also proof that guitar solos aren't that dead lol😁
yoooooo Finn loves Tallah,based
you need to talk about this band on your channel. Justin and Max are gods, the rest of the band is kinda talented too ;)
And if he does he should definitely cover there Lore
dude the drumming at 1:58 reminds me so much of the way certian breakcore artists make their breakbeat chops. absolutely insane
Max is an absolutely amazing drummer
It reminds me of self titled Slipknot
I got the same breakcore vibe, those breaks were amazing!
Sounds like when slipknot incorporated some drum n' bass on tracks like eyeless, except it's 100% Max's own drumming, not a sample. Amazing talent
OOOOOOHHHH I definitely heard that lil screech thang from 'Murder Seed' 0:16 sick!!! what an album this is shaping up to be already!
The next generation bands want to be like Tallah. 😎
this is so good! i cant believe i haven't listened to yall until now
Why everyone is so handsome in this band ? Great track once again, Tallah is one of a band !
We've been asking the same question for years lmao
alex is handsome asf yeah
Justin, i love that youre bringing more of your range to Tallah. i also love that the band can back it up. everyone is showing they deserve the spotlight.
Justin is just so darn cute
He do be cute tho
Justin is hella cute, but i find Derryck cuter tbh
@@argpalauanbruh My wife said the exact same thing as you. I'm a drummer so perhaps I'm biased, but I think Max is the hottest. Justin is the type I would love to give a hug, like a teddy bear lol.

There is no better way to start the day than listening to a fresh new tallah track!! i fucking love you guys 🤘🤘
Never thought I’d hear the word guise in such a badass song, lol. Great work guys, can’t wait to see y’all this Saturday!
Been a tallah fan since the metrit
hagy first came out a few years ago I think now. Fucking love this band and it just gets better and better. Fucking brilliant job guys. I'd recommend this band to any metal head of good taste.
a drum solo and a guitar solo eh? now you're spoiling us fellas!
🤪
Everything you guys put out is amazing. I have had this on repeat since I heard it!
These guys live, best in a long time!
It's like Placenta single has gone over 9000. I'm still picking up my bones.... that hurts, but worth it. love the song!
What a great song you guys are so good been a fan since your EP
Overconfidence is my favorite off of Matriphagy. This track is becoming the next Overconfidence for me. Amazing work, guys
Sounds like a sequel musically to Overconfidence!
It's cool to think that since we can't physically travel back in time, we can at least recreate the sensations and atmosphere of older years through the power of music. These guys have that power for sure.
Y’all are everything
The singer’s covers make me hungry
I have the biggest crush on Max. He's the best drummer that I've heard in quite some time. His dynamics are incredible.
Love me some Tallah! They never disappoint always setting the bar very high.
certified banger, can't wait for the album to drop
I can't wait for the new album!
Love it
Greet's from Poland🇵🇱
Tallah always delivering the goods
You guys are insane! Just getting better and better on every song
Saw you guys live with all that remains. Kick ass show really brought da house down!
Holy crap , this song is my introduction to the band , crying with f'kin joy, it's crazy shit and I like it!!!
Tallah needs more recognition, they are on their way to being the next slipknot.
No lmao
@@xboxlegend1242 yes lmao
oof, bad
No. This band is a copy paste of a lot of bands of the 90's and 2000's (Pungent Stench, Ministry, Machine Head, etc... )
And sounds like slipknot, of course.
@Elijah Boyd you know it's okay to like a band and still allow other people to have opinions, right?
New album this year, i was hopping for it, thanks guys : )
Every song you’ve released since I found you guys (as well as anything before) is beyond incredible, blown away with every new drop! Can’t wait to see how you grow and evolve over the next few years, this band is so tight I fucking love it
peak nu metal tbh
It is such a pleasure watching this band grow ❤
This deserves so many more views than it currently has. As does the rest of Tallah's stuff.
This is the best thing I've heard in years!
This one is so much fun!
Cannot wait for their new album! Matriphagy was so cool and fresh to hear
My words aren’t even processing right now…i love it.

Glad I woke up to this before work
This is my favourite song from Tallah right now. Blast this shit out everytime
Max makes cute drumming faces
You guys are amazing I my i love your music you guys rock
ALWAYS pumping out bangers!
Baby you know it 😏
0:16 Murder Seed? Is that you?
ahh i didn’t receive a notification for this wtf
can’t wait to have this whole album on repeat for months
Sick middle part of the song! Influences from Korn, Deftones, Slipknot or Knocked Loose can't be ignored, but their own shrill style is already there and the band has a massive potential. This thing is definitely good for the scene and can become big.
I thought I was the only one that heard the Knocked Loose inspiration, glad somebody else but me mentioned it
This is one of those songs that gets better each time you listen to it!
And that pig thing isn't creepy at all. 😢
Oh yes more tallah just what I wanted 🔥🔥🔥🔥
They have returned - I must dawn my lobifu hoodie
So sickk I'm obsessed🔥🔥
More, gimme more!
BAD ASS DUDES!!
I can not wait for this new album I can't wait for the preorder I look up to all of you guys so much. You are a huge inspiration to me and I can't stress that enough. Tallah forever.
Saw y’all in LA I need more already
Why was Mewzen’s go-to move to smack himself in the head everytime 💀
Babe wake up,new Tallah just dropped
That was the most confusing song I’ve heard from Tallah lol
Such a fun and different listen. As with everything Tallah's put out, I love it, and I am very much looking forward to seeing what other kinds of new stuff and chaos Tallah bring on this album. So far, starting off with quite a bang. If I were to compare the two new singles, in short I'd say:
For heaviness, catchiness, chaos, lows, and twisted lyrics, Telescope.
For interesting flow, cleans, highs, builds and breaks, and overall lyrics, The Impressionist.
That's my first impression off of one listen, so we'll see what I think later. I do have a question, is The Impressionist sort of the radio single for The Generation of Danger like The Silo was for Matriphagy, or am I imagining it? They seem to have a similar way of fitting to me, though The Impressionist definitely dials up the heaviness.
What a fantastic way of putting it
@@chaseh1217 Cheers 👌
I definitely wouldn’t say impressionist is a radio single type of song since it’s pretty chaotic and radio doesn’t like chaos. Silo had that radio friendly sound where it was pretty catchy and the vocals weren’t so all over the place and whatnot
@@blackknightstudios9958 Still, The Silo isn't exactly a radio song either. Anyway, my point wasn't to question whether or not it was a radio song, but the Tallah equivalent of one, like The Silo was on Matriphagy. Then The Generation of Danger is heavier and more chaotic than Matriphagy, so I wondered if The Impressionist could be the new album's equivalent of The Silo.
Maybe not, just something I thought of, since this one seemed sparing with the heaviness and had a lot of clean vocals.
Telescope is good but this is even better imo :)
Tallah is just a genre of its own at this point
I love it!🔥💣
The next amazing masterpiece 😍😍🤘🤘
Saw you all in Denver for the first time, see you in Colorado Springs soon!
This was a journey throughout the entire track. Things are getting interesting
We didn't want to get off this ride but we're so ready for the next!

That interlude was pretty crazy!
Dude this is literally like if Dr. Spencer Black decided to write a song. I absolutely fucking love it man!!!
Yess soloooo
Sounds good
The second half of this got fucking chaotic, what a journey
yessss
Let Alex do a solo
@Elijah Boyd they still do them
@Elijah Boyd yeah, but these guys are actually good
@Elijah Boyd they do solos all the time, there’s literally one in this song lol
They may at some point
They don't do a lot of solos (I think there's only been 4 or 5) so generally they give that attention to the lead guitarist lol
