"The Murderer Archetype". A neurodivergent human being experiencing in full force the human condition: isolation, freedom, death and absurdity. The Murderer represents a regression into our beast of darkness. Those aspects of our nature built to destroy and conquer used to compensate for existential and psychological frustrations. Killing is a method to deal with the absurd, but the murderer cant escape from it, only falling deeper into the Abyss. Guilt and the law work aginst him or her. We can see the first important use of this archetype by Dostoyevski in his book: Crime and Punishment. The Murderer is in essence, a tragic hero. It is tragic because killing can't bring ultimate meaning and he or she is a hero because we see their stories from their point of view and we feel empathy for them. Those who can empathize with the Murderer have felt their darkness within them, and they have also experienced the human condition in full force. The tragedy of the Murderer has as it's purpose a feeling of catharsis and resignation... Catharsis because we are intoxicated by the power of taking someone else's life and resignation because that power is not enough to confront the absurd of existence. At the end of the process, the one contemplating the Murderer understands that killing solves nothing and alas, it only worsens existence as experienced. The tragedy of the Murderer ends up giving us something very valuable: the fact that we are not murderers and so, we have the chance to find a more healthy and socially acceptable method to deal with our human condition. The Murderer has already committed the crime of murder, and so we don't have to make the same mistake.
