Thank you!!! This is so far the best way of teaching us how to dry tomatoes under the sun. I've seen other videos and they just told us to put it under he sun. And this one says " cover them". My apologies, but that tiny info is vital for those who are starting to learn.

thank you, Ma'am! This was tremendously helpful! I've been slicing/dehydrating those Campari tomatoes (soooo tasty), but it didn't occur to me to POWDER tomatoes! BRILLIANT! I'm going to get a case of Romas soon and do this. You. Are. FANTASTIC. THANK YOU!

I just did this a few months ago with our tomato harvest. Cooked them down in an 18qt roaster then blended with stick blender, and dehydrated.

Thanks Rozy! I don't have a dehydrator. And I moved from hot, sunny, arid Arizona.
I now live in SE Idaho, short growing season, and already snowing.
So.....I dehydrated my tomatoes, fruits, kale, spinach, green onion, jalapeños, Romaine lettuce in my oven that has a built in fan.
It only takes 2 hours for the greens to dry, and 6 hours for the tomatoes, and 8 hours for peaches, pears, apples, plums to dehydrate.
I love your sunny and positive attitude!

I guess this is thee best way ever of making sure I have a supply especially out of season. Thank you 🙏 can't wait for my growing season💃💃 you deserve this🏆🏆🏆🏆

This is a very beautiful and wonderful idea of storing our tomatoes. Instead of letting it spoil, we can dry it up. And do it like so. I love the fact that we can keep it out to dry because for that your machine, hmmmm no be moi moi. I just used my eye 👁️ to check the price in my soul. And my spirit is telling me that it will be very co.... . Thank you for sharing sis. Keep it up. I am learning

Some years ago I bought a food dehydrator from out local Aldi store and frequently use it to dehydrate Spinache......3 large bags of Spinache dry down to dry leaves that break up to flakes.....takes 2 days but I use the flakes on all my food......best way to eat Spinache that I normally don't eat in the raw form as it doesn't last before going mushy.

After you blend them to powder, you need to “condition” it. Spread the powder out on a couple of baking sheets. Preheat oven to lowest temp, and turn the oven OFF.
Put trays in for 15-20 mins.
When cool, store in airtight jars.

Best way to store the tomatoes when its in season and cheap. You have really made my day. As sometimes the tomatoes are very expensive and it's also a good way to do business selling it, that way you are making money working from home. Amazing idea. The idea works best in places where people are blessed with plenty of sunlight.

Be sure to dry the tomatoes so when you test them by bending they snap in two pieces. Simply bending them without breaking could lead to mold growing on the sliced stored tomatoes and the stored tomato powder.
