I'm not a highschooler, I'm well past gradschool (MS) and spend quite a few year in Biotech Industry, but now wishing to go for a PhD. And to my opinion, you're far more mature in research than I might become even after my PhD. Hats off kiddo. I gotto admit, I'm close to double your age, but experience and competence wise, I'm half your capability.
is never too late, what are you doing rn is gonna sum in the future (in my case im a 2nd grade student at uni and maybe i should 've done this before, but ambition and discipline is what it counts :)))
choose one field that drives you curiosity for example biology and search for a branch of the field for example molecular biology. Afterwards start searching for news, books and research or if you're lucky ask a teacher in your school that is also interested in the field to mentor you. Understand the subjects from front to back and learn the scientific words that may appear in those researches, to fully comprehend what they're talking about and you'll start to see opportunities, gaps in the investigations or things that can be improved and start making a paper of that, you can even create something for example an AI. I recommend to work in a team, it is faster and there are more group ideas. Hope this helps!
gods I really should have started this stuff in sixth grade T-T oh well I have four years left this is all really really really scary but I hope I can accomplish something also you are very talented and thank you so much for divulging information to the public on this stuff :D
Hey Rishab, I am not very STEM-oriented, but rather I have been taking much interest in sociology research. Do you know of any formal programs for fit for psychology, anthropology, and sociology? Thank you so much!
Hi Rishab, I do have a quick question about RSI. I currently have a low GPA (3.85), but I do have a good PSAT/SAT score, and I am writing a paper about nanophysics with my professor. I am also going to try for WSSEF and CSRSEF this year (I am a sophomore 2022-2023 school year), and hopefully qualify for ISEF. Do you think I have the minimal experience to apply for RSI, should I build more things or is it fine? Thanks
I didn't use LinkedIn, but I've heard it can be helpful. I only did one internship in high school with a biotech company. This was a special case and did not involve any of the methods discussed. I suppose it was through means of networking? I don't think I needed a work permit. After winning numerous science competitions and having a LinkedIn presence, I have been contacted by at least 4-5 companies for an internship. However, being busy, I was not able to accept these offers.
What if I do not know that much about science yet but I want to do science research to compete. I just got to high school, and I do not know how I could possibly compete with people who have graduate level research. Basically, where should I start
@Rishab Jain hello I dmd you on Instagram about some questions. I haven't won any olympiads or any kind of science fairs but I am extremely passionate about science (mainly neuroscience and physics). Could you please explain how you came up with your idea (the one where you won the "Young Scientist Award" for) and how you grew/modified it? More importantly, how did you develop the mindset of believing that you could go through with your idea and make something to help the world?

This video is so awesome! Thanks for the information.

That’s the hard part

I think I replied to this on the other video. Thanks for your comment :)

No
Most RSI applicants have acheived awards at ISEF so you might be disadvantaged by good luck though!
you have to be a high school senior, I believe. You still have a few more years so good luck!
Hello Rishab! do I have to show experience and science fair achievements to land a internship for local lab and nearby professors??
Problem with these formal and structured “research” programs is the high cost.
Research Science Institute is free
@@RishabJainK but you need good research and a lot of resources to get into RSI so...
Which type research is considered the most impressive.
For internships, did you apply to any jobs on LinkedIn or did you email them and tell them that you are under 18? Also, did you need a work permit?
