The rectangular horizontal fog lights look much better. They match the shape of the headlights.
They do for sure. The round ones used for older cars like my Nissan Maxima 2000 had round fog lights. Idk I like both. The round fog light looks pretty nice in person maybe becuase there is more gloss black in the bottom

Truly agree. The new headlight however is a welcome change to all LED. Other then that, the regular Joe cannot tells the different.
I also agree. I do like they added the subtle smoke to the headlights and of course the mirrors look great. Chrome deleted my 2019 1.5 now I have to do the mirrors lol

@@Poe-007 and the Accord is very receptive to tune since it's a turbo. Both Legand17 and myself have tuned Accord 2.0t 's and it makes a huge difference. Mine also has a downpipe another muat have mod!
@@DanVilla7 - all I have is a cold air intake and scared of a tune because of the factory warranty. I know the tune can be taken off but the settings of that will always be saved into the computer and they can see it at the dealership.
Old one looks like a talented designer’s finished project. New one is the designer’s student took it and added some of his own “taste” on top of it...

I just traded my 2019 accord sport for the 2021 sport SE. I don't know what they did, but it almost drives like a different car, like they retuned the engine or transmission. It definitely feels like a refresh and with the special addition, definitely an upgrade
is it the same engine? 1.5t on both or 2.0t. I know the sport special edition only has the 1.5t engine option

An easy fix for the 2020.
I have the 2020 2.0 sport and it is honestly an amazing car and really fast I have some 1080p POV clips on my channel but if you’re in the budget for it definitely recommend going the 2.0 route with either year the 10 speed is no joke!!

The two things the 2021 has that I would have liked on my 2018 2.0T Sport is the all LED setup and the digital speedometer along with the analog Speedo. Everything else the 2020 and before are better.
The only "improvements" over my 2020 Sport that I can really see is the auto start/stop for the engine. That would be nice. And the extra USB ports. Other than that, I like the front of my '20 over the '21. Round fog lamps are not aggressive compared to the old ones. I do like the all LED headlamps though. But, I don't use the bright lights on my Honda anyway. I do all city driving. Not too many country roads in my future. My car is black, so the black accents for the mirrors, shark fin, and spoiler don't matter to me, but I prefer the body matched items on the '20 over the black ones on the '21. To me, that's just a cheap way to save a few bucks. With all those items being black no matter what the body color is, it makes it cheaper to produce those items. It's still a great looking car, and it's design is why I drive an Accord over a Camry or Malibu.

9th Gen Accords are no slouch. Rear sway bar upgrade and they're on the heels of a 10th gen. Best buy right now in sedans, hands down.
I know i’m never getting a black painted accord again, what a pain in the butt to keep the finished cleaned. I know black shows more but never realized just how much more, especially with water spots after a rain or wash.
Two words, ceramic coat
The Honda black paint is notoriously bad tho. Almost like the clear coat is thin and it shows every little swirl. Also very easy to chip. Other manufacturers black paint doesn't have these issues.

I traded in a 2020 2.0T Touring for a 2021 2.0T Touring. I can't tell for sure, but it certainly feels like something was done to increase the performance. It seems like the power band and response is better.

I love my 2020 Sport I got the 2.0L engine though and the 10 speed Transmission and that thing is quick for a 4cyl Turbo 252hp. For how big it feels I was definitely impressed. I like the looks of the 2020 better myself. I also have the push button for selecting drive,park,N etc...
Omg...Executive Honda is where I bought my 2018 Honda Touring and just recently my 2021 Honda Touring. They are the best dealership ❤❤❤ ...The only thing I don't care for in the 2021 Honda is the loud ding sound for the seatbelts and I'm still getting used to the buttons instead of the shift gear handle. The 2021 suspension and shocks seem better than the 2018 as my car hits potholes and defects in the road more smoothly. The 2018 has quick speed pickup, but the 2021 seems to beat that quickness by a couple more seconds. Overall, they feel and look like the same car. I didn't even notice the fog light change until I watched comparison videos on RUclips. ☺ But you can't go wrong with getting either the 2018-2020 lineup or the newer 2021. Both are solid choices.
You didn't mention or realize that the 2021 now shows you your speed (MPH) digitally in center of the dashboard now. Under the cruise control icons. It use to be only KPH in the 2018 - 2020

@@Iegend17 I knew cause I just bought a 2021 2.0 and had a 2019 that it didn't show it and remembered that was something everyone talked about. Why it worked in KPH and not MPH. We all hoped with an update they activate it somehow. But never did. Go glad they fixed it in the 2021 now. Makes it complete for me😁

The Camry is an old man in teenager clothing. The Accord feels more youthful to drive and looks more youthful and not gimmick-aggressive like the Camry

Living with a 2018 touring, I prefer the usb to be in the armrest because you can hide the cord to your phone in it as your phone sits in the cup holder. I never really use that wireless charging compartment at all due to CarPlay via cord.
Shame on Honda for dropping the manual transmission on every trim for 2021.
Sadly. 2% bought it. I mean I understand some people are pissed but not alot bought it. my friend owns one in white 2.0t manual type r tubro and custom tuned and this thing is a bullet lol. my 10 speed pushes me back to the seat more though and i only have an intake and tune
Shame on people not buying it. Honda gave people a chance and literally everyone said “no thanks ill take the automatic”.
@@arunmfive well the automatic is fun and faster. My friend has a 6 speed white 2.0t and has a civic type r turbo and custom tuned, and my accord is only tuned and it’s faster than his. Plus Honda makes great cvt and 10 speed automatic transmission. Their new 10 speed is amazing!! I have a 2018 2.0t and the 10 speed is very very fast.

The horizontal fogs makes the car look like a boat. Round is just lovely. I agree it is aggressive.
I have 2018 Sport 2.0 and it doesn’t have gear shifter... it has buttons instead. Surprisingly, I actually like not having it gear shifter now!
The 2.0 turbos have the 10 speed auto with the button shifter, the 1.5 turbo has the gear shifter.

Looks very identical with a few changes that you wont notice right away
3 months later, the updated fog lights grew on me. Now the headlights on the 2020 look a little dated because the 2021 headlights been updated and look extremely more elegant than the 2020 😓😂
I have a 2019 Honda Accord touring. I am skipping upgrading to the 2021 body style but the next refresh I will get it. Hopefully it will be a new body style.

Not one single youtuber comparing the 2021 Accord has mentioned the lower left and right front lip and how it is more pronounced than the previous years. You mention the black strip but fail to recognize how the lower lip extends much farther out.

I like my honda accord 2009, newer cars have so many issues these days.. Plus older cars are easier to repair on.
I got the white 2020 sport 2.0 from Branfon Honda and I love it. Executive couldn’t get me the white and I had an awful experience with one of their car salesmen. I actually do not like the black mirrors at all
Congrats :) actually I leased my dad’s civic from there hahha. I got my accord from Westport Honda. I got my 2018 sport 2.0t in red for 28k sticker 31 and some change. I went to few dealerships around and they couldn’t get down so I kept looking and Westport they were able to get me the price I wanted. They were happy and I was happy :) I do agree not everyone will like the black mirrors. They are only on the sport to make sportier. I ended wrapping my mirrors on my red accord and I love them. If you go through my channel you will see my car in there.

2016/17Accord V6 Touring was the best. I don't think they'll ever top that. I'm Looking forward to the 2022 civic SI. The Accord is dead to me😔
I liked the 2020 grill more but I ended up getting the 2021 for the 2 USB ports in the front plus the 2 in the rear..also the 2020 sat in the lot for a year and was only 1500.00 less...yeah I felt like I paid 1500.00 more just for those USB ports...lol but in the end Im glad I went with the 2021 ...the inside layout is a little more practical and the sports mode makes me forget that I’m driving a Honda...nice review

I have a 2019 2.0t 6 speed n i luv it. Was going to trade it in until I found out they will no longer make a manual accord. So im keeping it. Only way I'll trade if Acura makes a 2020 TLX aspec in 6spd 🤞🏾

as far as MPG, I average 40mpg per tank in the 2020 1.5L LX, driving 80% highway. Pretty great. But if you're looking at LX, definitely be aware that the seat is terrible (I'm 5'9, 170lbs), so pay attention to the seat during a decent test drive and then try out the other trims. Some buzzes here and there in the interior is annoying, but the car handles so much better than the last gen and the interior is simple and clean. Power is adequate enough.
Nice review, thank you! We just bought a 2020 2.0t EX-L over a 2021 since you have to step up to a touring to get leather and glad we did (saved a few $$$ as well). Also, the 2021 has the auto/start stop feature which is not only annoying (realize you can turn it off manually) but read that its not good for turbo engines.

So the 2021 shut off engine when stopped and then it starts the car again when it is time to move. Sounds like they did that to get the whole 1mpg on the 2021 vs 2020 but now your adding wear and tear on the starter motor.

@@michaelfard3090 The 2021 2.0Ts don't have auto start/stop. So that wouldn't have been an issue if you were in the market for the 2021s. Just thought I'd say that lol.
@@thomasrivera1431 Believe it or not, manufacturers actually engineer their starters to be able to handle the extra starting and stopping. They can handle the extra uses. Also, start stop can save more gas than you'd think. After only a few seconds (less than 10) more gas is saved by turning off the motor and starting it again when ready to move, than by just letting it idle.
Thanks for taking time to explain the features in these models. But when did Honda get rid of the stick gear shifts? It seems the current models now have buttons now to change from Drive to Neutral, Reverse, etc.

The 2021 looks way better. Pre refreshed model looked like an insect from the front. I do miss the jeweled eye fog lights though, but i do like the new fog light housing better. Aaand Honda should've given us full led taillights. I mean come one, it's the largest complaint of this car. I was even expecting a better audio system. Easily the worst stereo in the class. Pre refresh accord owners will say the older looks better but it doesn't.

I just traded my 2019 Accord and got the 2021 I don't care what it looks like it's nice to be on fresh tires and drove out with 10 miles on the odometer 2019 was old and had 16,000 miles on it.... it was time for a new one LOL. It's a gray car the only complaint I have is the rear window defogger blows, other than that I love the car.
I just traded my 2018 for the 2021. I upgraded to EX-L over EX. I pick it up in two days!
21 high beams are LED and included in whole headlight assembly same pattern 20 are halogen in a diff partition in headlight assembly

They are for sure both sexy. I really wish Honda tried a little in the back. They should’ve done something. Maybe gave the taillights a Smokey look like what they did with the 2020 crv. Chime is not as good I was disappointed and something I forgot to mention in the video. The leather on my 2018-2020 feels much much better. It feels higher quality the 2021 feels like it’s fake and not smooth leather. It feels dry for some reason.
It's a bit shame to see few changes in its look, as it takes me lots of time to discover improvements on machinery through a test drive.

I have to agree about the fog lights, the rectangular type match the headlights better..I think in their attempt to make the front end look more aggressive they cut corners by copying the Civic setup in the front using round fog lights instead. Problem is the Civic doesnt have such a wide face as the Accord and has more aerodynamics and larger/more vents making the round lights match better - on the Accord it's front width calls for wider lights. And they bombed in my opinion with that black chrome line accent going across the bottom half of the grille. Maybe for the Touring it works or EX/EX-L models but not on the sport.
The exterior in my opinion 2020 is better specially the lower horizontal lights

Maybe I’m a little biased cause I own one but I like the 2021 better. Wider grid and the circle fog lights offset the the rectangular headlights. The fog lights kind look redundant on the 18-20
Dude the chime is not SOFTER on the ‘21. It’s more annoying or sharper than the smoother softer ‘18-‘20!

No one asked for more chrome but yet Honda added some more in the front smh. We don't know exactly what Honda did with the headlights. I don't think they are darker in anyway. You need to compare the 21s to the 20 Touring with the full LED lights to see if they are the same. They're not blacked out by any means tho. The new chime is ugly. The auto stop is annoying if anything. I would hate to always have to turn it off if I had a 21 but I know the 2.0Ts for 21 doesn't have it tho, just the 1.5Ts and maybe the hybrids? The fog lights are subjective imo. I like them both but 20s are a little better. The taillights are the only disappointed thing about the Accord but why there are so many options out there now like overlays or aftermarket lights. A $20 overlay will make them look way better then stock so.
I didn't like the changes to the 21s overall so I ended up picking a 20 Accord Touring recently. Saved a lot money and didn't really lose much on the changes. I had an 18 Accord Sports prior to this so I know my the Accord really well. I did several mods for it like putting in aftermarket taillights. There is a rumor tho that Honda might allow wireless AA and Carplay with a software update but it will cost money if they do. No free upgrade of course cause that's just how it is.
Hahaha sales person that drives Toyota that was funny. Anyways to answer your question the hybrid 2021 doesn’t have engine shut off. I drove one and I actually uploaded a video today of the POV drive. For the headlights Honda said they fixed the glare becuase they used to blind on the 2018-2020 but they don’t mention anything about them being blacked out. But they do look darker for sure. I have seen so many tourings on videos and person and they arent dark as the 21 but I have to put them both next to each to confirm. Sadly the dealership didn’t have 20 touring which I thought was crazy lol. Btw how do u like the touring? Is the suspension comfortable
@@Iegend17 well I have seen a lot of those 21s in person cause I just happen to be at the dealership a lot recently due to buying accessories for my new car. The headlights looks physically the same to me and I won't be surprised since they didn't do nothing to the taillights either 😁. I think if anything they might of made it the LED brighter or place 2 or more lights in there vs 1 in the prior models. Yeah believe it or not the 18-20s only had 1 LED bulb shining horizontally. Honda might of changed the direction of where the light is pointing at too like more road vs up in the air for better visibility.
Yeah most of the 20s Touring and Sports 2.0Ts are probably gone from the dealerships since people know they could get a really good deal on them right now. Let's just say that I got a free upgrade to the Touring model vs the Sports 2.0T MSRP.
My Touring has been awesome man. I could tell the ride is nicer then my old 18 Sports, it's not as harsh. I do plan on lowering it a bit with some Eibach or H&R springs. Nothing too crazy as I still want to keep the active dampers. Still breaking in my engine right now so I really can't have too much fun ☺️. Putting the car in Sports mode does change the ride firmness as well which I like. This is similar to what I had on my older MDX so I'm kinda use to it.
I just wanted to add they the new headlights are darker. It looks like Honda did change the inside a bit and got rid of the inner chrome piece closer to the grille. Overall it does look nicer but I won't be upgrading the lights as it's gonna be around $1,500 lol. I'm good and I see nothing wrong with them on the road. I might light smoke my headlights tho but we'll see.
Now that the honda legend is coming out, the car should fit your name and channel well.
Also, the 2021 gauges show the speed in the middle. The 2020 is a big black space.
I love the LED headlights on my 2021 Honda Accord Sport 2.0t. The IIHS-HLDI ranked headlights on the new Accord's to be 5 stars compared to 4 stars on previous models. I wish my Sport would have a totally blacked out panoramic sunroof, a 10.25" infotainment system, 10 speed automatic with shift ( not buttons) and leather seats. I realize this would probably add to its MSRP price.
Is the new headlights brighter than the old setup? If i went for a 18-20 accord, can i swap out the headlights for the newer ones, you think? I really want to get this car but my current car has aftermarket bulbs that are very bright and i am super picky qhen being able to see at night aince i work 3rd shift. I have put led in my current car and they are horrible visibility..
I prefer the 2nd USB port to be in the armrest storage, since that's where my MP3 flashdrive sits and is less likely to get damaged.
Also, I have rear climate vents in my 2018 EX, so it's weird to see USB ports there instead.
Too bad Honda doesn't redesign those taillights! Definitely would be an area that could be improved!

The only front part that looks better on the 2021 is the Honda Sensing Sensor. Otherwise the 2020 looks much better.
I still like my 2012 better and if I get an updated one it might be the 2017. I don't like these new ones.
I love the 2016 and 2017. I owned four accords. 95 09 13 and 18. I loved all! I still have my 2018 and it’s amazing. But yes the style on the 17 is amazing!

I recently bought a 2017 EX-L. I didn’t like the 2018’s when they arrived and still don’t today. And let’s see how those turbos hold up as the car gets older.

So the 2021 made some improvement with the honda sensing as he stated. But it looks like Honda trying to save a few bucks on paint with all black mirrors, rear spoiler, and the shark fin.
Um, the 2021 LX and up does have wired CarPlay and Android Auto I thought? The EX-L and up has the wireless versions.

They are basically identical. It’s just like if someone added bolt-ons from eBay or other auto stores. I personally own a ‘18 sport 2.0t.

Sometimes it’s good to be different and think differently from everyone else. No matter what anyone says, people will always find a way to justify their purchases and what they have so they can feel better about how they spend their money 😀. Fog lights are way worse and look terrible to be honest, Wireless carplay is good though, rims are amazing on touring

Definitely the 2020 looks more aggressive..the square fog lights match perfectly with the grill..the rounded fog lights make the car looks cheaper..definitely the 2021 with those fog lights is a turn off..the only good thing is they have remote start and the se has leather seats heater seats and the remote start.

They definitely did. My phone is really bad. I have the 12 pro. My 11 pro was much better. I got in touch with apple and they told me that’s how it comes lol. I laughed so hard. It’s a step back for iPhone and Honda at this point 😂
