I would love to work with ya man, what do you want to make?
I could probably get you started through Patreon, making a video about chisels this week.

Any beginner hammers if the Saign Charlestein hammers are out of budget currently?

Any hammer you feel comfortable working with. Expensive hammers are nice but not required to do beautiful work. For the first few years I was doing chasing I used a short autobody forming hammer as it had a large flat face.
