Cracking video, thanks for the tips. I'm a decorator in training so all these videos are brilliant. One thing, I notice you used your scraper to protect the carpet when painting horizontally which is fine as the carpet doesn't move. How do you deal with the vertical part of the carpet as that moves? If you were to use your scraper to hold back the carpet while painting, when it springs back does it pick up paint and mark the carpet? Thanks again

Imagine how long that's going to take. Rub down the woodwork hover it and use a roll of 38mm maskin tape and you don't have to cut in on both undercoat and gloss

What's that at 3:23? A small paint brush and paint? If so would it not get paint on to the carpet?

Thanks.. its a very common to come across paint on carpet... especially when people think they can stick tape down and it will stop paint... they flood the paint on and it soakes into the top edge of the carpet..

What primer do you recommend for wood that's been stained and had a clear coat of varnish on it? My skirtings look terrible so I was going to use shellac bin but I've got children and pets and I read that it's really smelly and quite toxic.
