A campaign to increase women’s safety, particularly around the transport network, is being rolled out across the whole of Merseyside.
The Safer Streets campaign aims to tackle Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) and improve women’s feelings of safety across the region.
The campaign was developed following a survey by Merseyside’s Police and Commissioner, Emily Spurrell, showed that 54% of women felt unsafe using public transport in Merseyside, at night and nearly 42% had concerns about using it in the day.

Having grown up in the City and then moved to the outskirts later on this list is laughable. For one, there are places listed here that aren’t in, or even associated with Liverpool such as St Helens and Prescot and there are areas listed as being dangerous which simply are not.
Essentially, you have grouped up many districts of the City together and as a result, unfairly lumped less dangerous areas with some of the more dangerous ones, then based on total number of crimes tarred them all with the same brush. Now clearly there are differing numbers of people living in different areas of the city so a crime per capita approach broken down to individual districts of the city would’ve been a far fairer way to rank areas for crime. The way you’ve done it is basically lazy and results in comparatively safe areas getting a bad rep due to who they are grouped with. If you are going to make a video like this which can have very negative effects for local economies then at least don’t be lazy, do the research and report the results properly.

I moved to Liverpool back in the 70s when the city had major problems, then Thatcher came into power she thought that Liverpool should be wiped off the map hence we had the riots in the 80s. No where in this country is safe 100% but we in Liverpool have shown the world that we can stand up and take on the world and look where we are today a vibrant city, a welcoming city we in Liverpool have a lot to be proud of. And for those who don't like us well!!! it doesn't bother us one little bit. Alan /Liverpool.

Also a lot of the areas are not Liverpool. I'm from St.Helens and that is not Liverpool. Eccleston is part of St.Helens. Wirral, Southport and Knowsley are not part of Liverpool, though Knowsley perhaps could be included, owing to the a lot of Liverpudlians settling there.

A couple of things . You mispronounced a lot of the areas . You misspelled Wirral ( you spelt it with an E)
You then said it is one of the safest cities but went on to list ten areas in a safe city . St Helen’s isn’t part of Liverpool , neither is the Wirral.
So your video is wrong on so many levels .
Re do it , pronounce them and spell them correctly and only state statistics for the city that you are alluding to. .
Since Liverpool is a comparatively safe city , try producing a video on crime ridden cities like London Birmingham or Manchester . They are much worse .

This is pure bollocks ! Eg, Southport is about 25 miles North of Liverpool, Formby about 15 miles North, Ainsdale about 20, all on Irish Sea Coast and all very desirable places to live ! He mentions Greasby on Wirral ff sake . . it's the kind of place barristers, dentists, doctors etc live . . likewise Heswall . . all on River Dee side of Wirral peninsula ie, nowhere near Liverpool. This is absurd and utter nonsense !

it is for women A campaign to increase women’s safety, particularly around the transport network, is being rolled out across the whole of Merseyside.

St Helens is 100% DEFINITELY NOT LIVERPOOL AT ALL - NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST. It's like saying that The Lake District is actually located right inside Liverpool - it's not, obviously! How do you not know how to pronounce the Wirral properly? Also, amount of 'reported' crimes doesn't equate to committed crimes or, indeed, convictions. I could sit in the safest village in the wealthiest part of the country and report crimes all day, but that doesn't mean they were committed. That just means that it would look like it had a statistically higher crime rate. Also, the top 2 both have the highest population density, 2 major football teams in them and then downtown Liverpool. If, as your argument suggests, that alcohol is the most significant cause of crime, then those things would be significant factors. In truth though I've been to see Everton play many times and I've never witnessed any violence. Drunkenness, sure, but there was never any danger. You should probably learn how statistics work and how they can be abused (the tories do it all the time) before your next video.
