I really liked this video, I’m 71 years old and went on a blind date at a coffee shop just this week…I was referred to her by a guy I met in another coffee shop I frequent regularly… I really had very little information on her…my last date was 50 years ago and was anticipating a Demi Moore look a like …nevertheless, we had a very good conversation and I am going on a second date with her tonight, so I guess it went well and we will see where this goes…
Great tips, Carey. Particularly that one about staying open minded throughout the date. I went on a blind date years back. Soon as I saw him I decided he wasn't for me! I know, I know - making a hasty judgement based on ten seconds! But we continued out date, both being polite and interested in each other. By the end of the date, I had completely changed my opinion on him and we eventually had a very happy relationship together over the next decade. You never know where a blind date might lead. 😊
I very much appreciate your advice on this topic, Carey. I remember from many years ago three disastrous blind dates, and a few visually impaired (by which I mean not entirely blind) dates that turned out much better. If I'd had your advice before those dates, I believe that I would have coped with each situation much better. Thanks again for all you do for us!
So I have had a first date and a second date with a lady within the last five days and things have gone really well.. good conversation, common interests and backgrounds… I have her phone number… should I text or call??
What is your inclination? And what is your gut telling you to do? Now what are you thinking you should do based on the dozens of videos you have seen here?
Oh shoot I forgot to sign my last comment. I'm still laughing at my own joke. I would bet just perhaps you might be able to discern where I stole it from? Anyway thanks, your friendly new critic ... Dedicated Bachelor (DB) & 🐕
I’m laughing about the fact that you came back to make sure you signed it with your new moniker. The joke… Not sure I even get it, but definitely sure that I don’t know from where you stole it!
I'm so pleased you to see you replied to my comment! Thank you. The divorced guy in the last minutes before gazing upon his blind date for the first time, braces himself with a very quick look at a small portrait photo of his previous mother in law he takes from a hiding place in his pockets. So that's much the punch line. He prepares himself for not such a big disappointment. Anyway, I find humor loses something and difficult to work with if one engages in rehashing the words. Where? If you are on the other side of the pond, perhaps you've not aware of a likely candidate of this genre of humor, hmmm? If you are on the west side of the pond, you probably are aware of the source but just haven't connected the dots. Don't worry, I'll still be here I'm pretty certain! Have a good day!

And if you ever need a coaching partner, you know where to find me.
So timely for me going on one tomorrow night, 70 years old, this should be interesting. Will let you know how it goes.
Exciting! What two things that I have shared with you, since we became friends here, will you be reminding yourself before your date?! ☺️🤎
this is helpful!
So glad!
Lol, dating is weird. I like that.
It’s true, right?! Lol.
life is a learning experience and maybe life is not for success, due to our lives are but a brief moment in time.
Or maybe everyone would need to define success for themselves. Then lots of successes are possible. 🤷🏻♀️🤎

Once upon a time this divorced guy went on lots of blind dates looking for a new wife. Kept a picture of his previous mother in law in his wallet 🥹
Okay. I get it. ☺️
