I grew up with Conway. I went to Twitty City in the mid 80s and he would walk around talking to us tourists. His kids all sang and played instruments on the small outdoor stage. So did Randy Travis who became big 6 months later with On The Other Hand. The museums at Twitty City were awesome. Faron Youngs, Marty Robbins and his racecar, Bill Monroe etc. Hendersonville across from the original Johnny Cash museum out on the highway. It was awesome too. Civil war memorialbilia, carter family belongings, and Johnnys. I met June Carter and Carlene Carter there and got a pic.
About 2 years ago at the Oley Fair in Oley Township Berks County Pa they had a country band doing songs that were duets of songs by Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. Loved their whole show. They did a great job.
I met Conway at Lanierland music park many years ago, shook his hand, what a show man! Cumming Georgia, Leon Jones, managed the music park shows, I was a helper setting up stage, 🌞
