I thought I knew everything about Oasis, popular live shows, rare songs performed, but Noel solo with an electric guitar? No idea this happened
I was there. Crowd was 50/50 into it and not. Looking back it was 🔥
There's another similar gig Danny, where he's doing an interview in the US. During the interview he plays lots of songs all on electric guitar solo (I think with a Rickenbacker). One of the songs is Slide Away. If I can find a link I'll drop it here...

This is very, very rare! And Noel chose quite a way to perform that evening! Just him, a Gibson 'F-hole' Les Paul, plugged into a Marshall Stack, and a mic to sing these brilliant songs. I actually rather enjoy it! Great set.

I find this really cool, as a amateur teen guitarist who plays gigs by myself. I usually think one singer and an electric guitar doesn’t sound good when I do it, but I guess it can work! You rock Noel 🎸
What a guy, to take it all on himself and do all the work while his mates are stuck in traffic. He's a real professional and I really enjoy hearing him sing. His voice may be less exciting than Liam's, but I can listen to it for much longer. Live long and prosper, Noel. 🙏

Wtf! I've been an oasis fan for years but never seen anything like this!. I suppose Noels sole career was always going to happen. I know Liam had a habit of acquiring a 'sore throat" or something just before they were all due to go onstage but the whole band not being present is next level s**t!!

God... People forget just how big they were EVERYWHERE during this brief time in their careers, man! They're upcoming new album was supposed to be the greatest rock n roll album of the 90s and instant classic. Hehe. Still loved this band. And Be Here Now ain't so bad. Coulda been a pretty damned good record w/better production, some editing down of some of the songs' lengths, & then they could've done well to've performed a few of em w/acoustic guitars, too. Think Don't Go Away or Stand By Me.

Sounds like it, the pacing of the intro and the chord nuances match that of D'You Know What I Mean more than Wonderwall despite them having the same chords

Amusing in a way, it's this particular little gig Noel did a bit randomly that kept Oasis tours from ever reaching China.
They even booked couple of shows there when Dig Out Your Soul was out, but the Chinese governnent got intervened so they were cancelled.
