I usually hate ANYONE doing a cover of the Beatles - they were my favourite band , until Oasis - but I really LOVE Noel and Liam singing Beatles songs. They do them justice every time. And I love this version just as much as the original Lennon version. Noel Gallagher is an amazing talent!
This version is based on the early demo from the Beatles Anthology 2 cd. Gem’s lead guitar parts are almost exactly the same as how it’s played on that version.
The Beatles last performed in 66, apart form the roof top apple gig in 69. So it's good to hear I am a Walrus, and Strawberry Fields live done like this. I reckon the Beatles would be great at covering Oasis as well..:-)
