Note: The audio isn't soundboard (as I listed in the title/header) - it's a really nice AUD recording that I synced over. The audio on the source was mono/hissy-flat-line - and not very good (plus has cuts where there are cuts in the video). The used/circulating AUD recording is much much better. (Re: People requesting SBD audio). Sorry for the typo/error in the hardcoded intro title.
Supersonic was an amazing version maybe one of the greatest ever ? Do you know if the full set was ever broadcasted live on radio or replayed at a later stage ?
@@Naicez_YT After hearing footage from the Loch Lomond gig a week prior, my theory is Liam must've contracted some sort of throat infection which exacerbated the raspiness in his voice during the Knebworth gigs. In this gig there is much less raspiness in his voice despite spending a good few months recording for the Be Here Now album. Given the importance of the Knebworth gigs to Oasis' career, it's likely that he made a decision to continue performing rather than cancel the Knebworth shows to allow his voice to recover. Not that it affected the music in any way possible. There's a reason why it's considered to be their best gigs of all time.
Also he'd fucked hoo vice before Loch Lomond, was put on steroids and sent to a hotel in the countryside to rest his voice and strictly not drink...and unbeknownst to them staying at the same hotel was ...Gazza lol. Who he stayed up all night drinking with...@@jacobjones7843
Thanks for sharing! Trying to find any footage from the KROQ Weenie Roast 1997. A buddy of mine and I had great tickets for this event. Reliving the memories 25 years later. Love it!! In hindsight, the lineup was ridiculous. The Cure closed the show, David Grohl’s Foo Fighters we’re new, Radiohead, and so much more.
Ya I was there The Cure came on so late that it was ridiculous most of the ppl took off thinking they were going to be a no show . I think even the alot of security left to (idk if The Cure were flying in from England and they're plane was late or what.) Anyways when we saw them strung the first note on their guitar My & my BFF literally started running and jumping down(scaling) the walls of Irvine Meadows which was an outdoor venue till we were so close like first 3 rows that's about all we're there just a probably about 30 or 40 I know for sure the crowd went down it was sometime in the A.M. . It was a wonderful show probably one of the best I've been to because of the great lineup they had & the fact we had The Cure (who I love) as the finale all to ourselves thank you for this!
I love the concerts from June 1997. Thanks for that. Will it also be possible to have the "soundboard" audio taken from this? it does nothing if some parts of it are missing.
Great upload Johnny. In hindsight, they really shouldn’t have released Be Here Now in ‘97. Morning Glory was still HUGE. They would of been best doing another world tour for Morning Glory, establishing themselves as the best live band around at the time and really milking the album dry. Then brought out Be Here Now or the Masterplan after the summer of ‘98. Crazy how a few rash decisions really changed history, Oasis could of been colossal worldwide. I mean they still are, but they could of been even bigger. What if.
To be honest, the problem with Be Here Now was Noel using too much cocaine and not putting out the best version of Be Here Now he could have. Delaying Be Here Now wouldn’t have changed anything unless Noel ditched the white stuff.
Until they FINALLY triumphantly returned in 2005, selling out places like Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks, & The Hollywood Bowl, & The Boston Tweeter Center... This might've been the zenith of Oasis in America! This is why we thought they were coming to save rock n roll, man!

Shame Bonehead, Guigsy, & Whitey didn't ever get to play Madison Square Garden, or experience the band's reaching true arena rock status here in America during the Don't Believe the Truth Tour! Madison Square Garden in NYC, The Hollywood Bowl in L.A, Credit Union 1 Arena in Chi-Town, The GMU Patriot Center in Washington DC, Red Rocks Amphitheatre-built into the side of the Rocky Mountains outside of Denver, the legendary 'Cathedral of Country Music,' the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville... Amazing voice very very close to Knebworth 1996 and you can hear it’s fresh and rest. Then, he will destroy it with the rest of the tour… forever
I think his voice here was better than Knebworth 1996, his voice at knebworth was at the end of the tour and was very strained.
@@xvulture21gtav24 But they had a break of a few months before Summer gigs in 1996

To be honest, the problem with Be Here Now was Noel using too much cocaine and not putting out the best version of Be Here Now he could have. Delaying Be Here Now wouldn’t have changed anything unless Noel ditched the white stuff.

I remember it getting written in (American) Rolling Stone abt how they were far & away the best band @ The Weenie Roast that yr... Crazy.
Noel starts morning glory by playing the chords rather than "that" riff... why?!?! That riff is one of the most exciting part of Oasis shows!
