I found your channel yesterday morning and have been binging it ever since. This is great stuff! I don't have any interest in being a PI but still find this tradrcraft incredibly fascinating. Thank you for putting these out there!
That's a good tip... but as a PI myself, I always run a person through the DMV (depends on the state, but I have access realtime in 44 states including NYS) for current vehicles and tags... and also am getting previous tags even if they were changed, and it shows the date they were changed.... i do this even on reopen files..... now I got access to the vehicle sightings database, and I ran the new tag if needed . Also, if needed, I ran the previous tag.... i understand it's a good "hack" to use, but these records can still be found.
Nick, you are 100% right. Everything can be found. Everything. New tags just move you toward being a harder target. Make it cost the other guy more time, energy and money. Maybe he’ll give up. Maybe he’ll make a mistake that gives you a heads up that he’s coming. No house is “burglar-proof”, but having deadbolt locks is better than not. Steel doors are better than not. Same thing with privacy. New tags are better than not. Thanks for you comment! You make a great point that should not be missed!
The License plate data or information now being accessible to 3rd party companies means the license plate requirements maybe challenged against privacy rights and against the States compelling interest claims not being narrowly trailered. It is time to remove license plate readers not capitulate by paying more money to the State to maintain our privacy.
Years of experience. Sure, it can all be cross referenced, but the numbers simply haven't been cataloged like that yet. Maybe someday, but not now. Thanks, for your question, John.
I am trying 😮to get the owner of a vehicle. I have the VIN number. Do you know of a paid or free Vin number search process. I am trying to get the title for the vehicles from the owner.

It complicates things if you have a permit tied to your plate. Otherwise, this is a great idea.
Pretty solid tip. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Ethan!
What website can be used for someone to access this info?

Glad you like it, David!
Thanks for the info!
It's my pleasure, Jim!
What makes you think the old number wont be referenced with the new one??
Years of experience.

Pretty good tip. Never thought of it.
Thanks, Mark! Yea, it's one of those things only a skip tracer would think about, but I hope it gives more privacy to people.
