Hi my friends! Welcome to Anacapri! A beautiful town on the island of Capri!. The town where you can enjoy the "normal" life of locals. Less glamorous than Capri town, but more authentic, better prices and many interesting attractions to visit.
Anacapri is widely known for its picturesque rural tranquility, broad views of Naples Bay and significant historic sites. The Ancient Greek prefix ana- meaning "up" or "above", that’s because Anacapri is located higher on the island than Capri, about 150 m higher.

In this walking tour I will take you from the chairlift in Anacapri connecting Piazza Vittoria to Montesolaro (wait for the dedicated video ;) ), around the main pedestrian street (Via Giuseppe Orlandi) to visit the principal attractions like the beautiful Church of San Michele and its exquisite floor. At the end of the video, I will take you on a panoramic motor scooter ride from Anacapri to Marina Grande port!. just gorgeous!.

I stayed in Anacapri Feb 2023 Villa Polio. Loved the place. Fabio and his wife were super nice. Planning to return next year. I recommend the place. Fabio if you read this. This is Miguel who fell and landed on my face on the street the last day. Ouch, Your wife went to farmacia a got me an ice pack. Will never forget this! ❤

Oh, how I miss Capri. I'm glad I went back to it in 2019 before Covid. I promise I will be back because it's my favorite island in Italy. What makes your videos so enjoyable is when talk in the beginning and greet everyone. Your accent just really brings me back there. Grazie mille for creating and sharing this and all of your videos.
I miss it so much too. Italy in general is a superb place for a holiday. I'm super glad I got so much travel in before Covid hit too. Just looking at photographs of preposterous, chaotic English airports right now fills me with an odd mixture of frustration, impatience, sympathy for other travellers, resentment and melancholia. What a combustive mixture! I'd love to travel 'as normal' next year but I fear it won't be for a very long time. I try not to think about travelling as it gets me down to ponder the likelihood of it. And these silly masks people have become attached to which are either like anti-social security blankets or an oddball, insecure virtue-signalling hangover...oh dear. Habits seem to be very hard to break for some people and businesses alike. At least you and I enjoyed glorious Capri before this global devastation. Cheers to that! I hope you get to have a marvellous summer, whatever you do. :)
