I've been watching this series for the past 5yrs now, huge fan. I'm also a Forza enthusiast. The TransAmSeries needs to partner up with Tun10 studios/ForzaMotorsports. With todays big trio in american sports cars. I think that would be a great way to expand and reach more.
@Joshua Land Was just thinking that, could really help with the series' exposure once people find out how awesome these cars are to drive & race. Would be cool to see a TA car then a TA2 later on or vice versa
You can really see when Ernie Francis Jr. Loses a cylinder. I want to know what Drissi thoughts were coming up the hill and around 1 and 2. Really seemed like he was waiting to see if Ernie was going to get back in it. Well done
Can't believe Drissi's lines on several corners are early apexes forcing him to go back to power later in the turns... could use a rearview camera to see if he's doing that to block someone trying to pass from behind. In any event he loses a lot of time as a result. On the right hand sweeper he sure feathers the throttle a lot also. What's that all about? Smooth is fast. Find the traction line and hold the tires on the edge w/o all the funny stuff for crying out loud. They started on a 2:12 pace, then got down to 2:10s, 2:09s, 2:08s and down to 2:07s by 21 minutes into the race. Why it took him so long baffles me unless he finally shook off a tail gunner. Problem is the #1 and #2 cars are battling the entire time and even they are running faster lap times. Go figure. Too bad the back marker held him up in turn 2, he was finally putting down some good laps only to get stalled out; Fk. Leave it up to some dip-wad in a Porche to hold him up also. Who's driving the slower cars? They should get black flagged for having loose nuts behind the wheels. Finally 1:06 by the 31 minute mark. Tires must still be in their prime. Too bad he didn't learn to drive the track 10 laps sooner. Once he figured out how to get into the 180+mph range going into turn 1 he started doing much better. Problem is, when he comes to slower traffic around the 36 minute mark he lets up too much, he's indecisive, and he loses 2 seconds a lap on a couple laps and the front runners walk away. Not to mention he could have taken a slower car as soon as he cleared the yellow flag incident before turn 1 but he's not on the ball. So he loses more time coming out of turn 2 as a result. Jeeeze man. Get with the program. I stopped watching after 45 minutes. Apparently brain fade took over and he couldn't even hit most his apexes. Time to take more lessons. LOL.
@@tmi-america7615 Oh, there was nothing indecisive about the way he deliberately took her out. He wasn't even on the same lap! ruclips.net/video/l-eVVrWBM3U/видео.html
Nice! I am a user and dealer for VBOX; they supply some great video/data acquisition equipment with GPS and in-car display. I'm also a driving coach. Curious as to what transmission/transaxle is in this beast.
5 speed sequential or H-pattern (driver preference, H pattern gets a weight break) with a live axle and locking differential, a Detroit locker iirc. Might be a 6 speed this season
Looks like he had a little over steer. Amazing the technology in these cars today. Wish he could have got back into the gas a little sooner out of the corners. Car was singing though.
I'm going to enjoy every second of this. Thank you Trans Am. Please do more of this
What a treat!
The sound of that engine and the gear shifts! Perfect heel and toe! Total beasts!
Those V8s just sound amazing !
They like they're broken at low cruising speed though lol. Like under caution ruclips.net/video/G-TQOdl8nXE/видео.html
@@joshuatland How they idle is weird but they aren’t meant to idle. They’re meant to go fast.
I could listen to this all day long.

Having this as an iRacing series would be amazing.
I absolutely agree!!!
@@joshuatland would love to see this series have it's own dedicated game like Assetto Corsa Competizione. ♥

Eh, Drissi sucks, what do you expect?
Totally awesome laps! WooHoo!
oooo dat sound!
Maybe an inset screen of Hawaiian Tropic competition would top this off....
Isn't Drissi the one that rammed Amy Ruman years ago?
Probably. The way he drives so indecisively anything could happen. Amy is a lot smoother operator for sure.

how much hp??
~900
850-950. These sound like NASCAR V8s to me. Older ones anyway.
@@tyleracimovic823they are 850 and you are correct. SB2 and SB2.2s👍
wow what bad lines.
Oof sounds good!
this driver seems pretty early and shallow on majority of his apexes...
