@@nerd4181 hi, its implied through some of wendys and maxwells quotes that they aren't aware that they're related. (I'm not too familiar with the William carter puzzles, but I'm pretty sure the train maxwell took to visit wendy and her parents crashed so they never met)

I agree, that one was bad. Most of these shorts let us know how a character came to be. Willow resorted to fire to save her life. Wormwood was born from a green crystal. Warly has a grandmother he looked after, till he was taken into the Constant. The Woodie short didn't really add anything to his lore. If anything, it just confirmed what we've known for ages: that Woodie is a stubborn mofo. I kinda wish they'd delved more into his special axe instead of portraying some random fight.
0:20 Protect her, the best bg character we'll never see again Also the cinematic turnaround when Nona held Charlie and charlie looking like she mouthed "No!" like she knew it'd happen. My heart. And the bg character falling to her knees at the end thinking about how winona didn't make it out and her place of working burning up...

I mean, you COULD name a girl that, but it'd be a hair weird. :P I also see Wagstaff as being someone _in charge_ at the factory, or having started the business, or owning it from afar, something like that. He wouldn't be just a random worker. (EDIT: Stupid RUclips. Why you take my blank lines out?) Personally I'm going with bg character was Winona's best friend at the factory/possibly secret girlfriend, but that's just me. Definitely more than just a co-worker at any rate. Everybody else was in shock about the building and their place of work burning, but BG Character looked DEVASTATED.

@@starice5095 When reading about Wagstaff, he is described as man who found himself exactly where he wanted to be, meaning he purposefully made his way to the constant. In the original origin video, Wilson is seen building Maxwell's Door. So how did A door to the Constant end up in a factory? This door may have been built by Robert Wagstaff, who is the one who loses his glove. however Wagstaff isn't who Charlie was after, hence perhaps why he isn't in DST. She wanted Winona.
Maybe a detective with lots of lore hints and a coat that allows him to sneak around enemies and a notebook that causes enemies to slow down. Or a horse tamer that can guickly tame beefalos with more beefalo eguipment making beefalo taming less of a chore and more of a good idea.Maybe beefalo could have a fertiliser attachment that puts a bunch of fertiliser on farms or a beefalo attachment with a bunch of storage or a saddle with a massive light source on it.
Agreed😔 I am sad because it’s so good and not too many people know about it (compared to other indie games like Rocket League and KSP) but, I am grateful that this game exists😁
@Shinobu Tsurubushi I'll forgive them. It's a good thing they removed a character they didn't like. It was nice of them to leave the code in the game for mods to add it. They could have completely removed the character but decided to keep it for fans like you and this is how you treat them. It's sad they even left it in the game at all.
Melii C maybe WX the thing in the beginning of the video shows WX and how to make him so I’m guessing he got brainwashed for a bit and made the portal and went though it and used gloves so he didn’t hurt himself while making it
The flower. it's not from the constant! Wendy's sister died in the outside world, and Wendy came to the constant to bring her back, that much is obvious. But I had no idea the flower was haunted before Wendy came to the world! It must have been significant to be on that board! This raises so many questions! Does that mean not all magic comes from the constant? Was here ghost around before the constant? Are there other ghosts? Are the ghosts in the constant souls that came there already dead? What if entering the constant ensures you remain as you were when you entered? Maybe that's why No-one stays dead!

Its the same constant just bot the same place in the constant since the moon cycles are the same among all the dlcs and the fact that darkness(charlie) will kill you wherever you are
Ahhh, i was wondering who was the person swallowed in the portal ! You're right : yellow gloves could indicate that it was Wagstaff, which could be the one who built the portal in the first place, just like Wilson.
1:06-1:16 The factory worker that dropped to her knees when the factory went up in flames must have been a close friend of Winona. I'm just guessing here.
*Keeping notes for future* -Charlie and Winona are siblings -Wendy’s flower is clearly in the case of the disappearance of people -Winona went missing or ‘died’ at an unknown date, though it’s after 14th April 1906 because it says on the letter that Charlie is in San Fransisco -the person who went through the portal is unknown, no player in DST has a missing glove -the exposition universal and international place 1910, pastor below New York library flames -it’s clear that wicker bottom disappeared at march 24th, 1911 because of the flames at the library New York -The poster (universal) is written in French, someone in the group is French though I don’t know who -voxola seems important? Maybe because of the gramophone and radio? -seems like everytime a radio is turned on, there is no such thing as mess but when a portal is turned on the building shatters except the house of Wilson’s house, apparently that doesn’t count -WX-78’s blueprint is shown -Everyone think government had something to do with the disappearance -Who’s that person in the missing poster? Looks like woodie, though it’s shown in Walter’s video that no one knew that he disappeared or that Walter is too oblivious to realise that woodie is missing -the portal has actually been shown in action which means people have witnessed it before -letter has been written to sibling before the incident as well -Winona could be in America or Britain, -WX-78 could be made by Winona considering it’s shown at 0:50 of how she’s reflecting to the image she saw on the pin board -This also shows that Winona saw the portal before and that’s why she knows how to fix it so easily in the matter of minutes -this also also shows that she made the pin board -which means she has lived for a few years after Charlie disappeared -the area Winona works in could be a hospital because of the common plus sign at the front of the building though it’ll make no sense on why she works as an engineer

(Also Wagstaff doesn't wear a yellow glove, so probably he got rid of the other glove or is very deep in his pocket)
Damn, this animatic actually hurt my soul- poor Winona, she finally found her sister again only to get thrown into the constant with Wagstaff. If all the animatics are going to be sad, I'm honestly not prepared for Wes and Willow's since they're both orphans.

It depends on whether the corkboard was put together (or _continued_ to be put together) before, or AFTER Winona got slurped into The Constant. If before, it could be her, if after, it's someone else and OOH MYSTERY TIME.
I believe the board is from someone who's investigating the criminal fires and disappearances of Wendy, Wickerbottom, Winona and probably all the others. That's also probably the person who built WX78, which they might have sent to the DST universe in order to save all the others. The last new character would then be a inverstigator of some sort that got stuck into this mess for pushing their curiosity too far. Considering they're theoretically capable of building a robot, it could very well be Winona's close friend that weeped her death at the end of this video
It's winona's, the small note next to the factory says "gain access to Voxola, which is the name of the factory manufactorint the voxola radio, utilised in the divining rod, there is also voxola application above the photo of the factory, and the blantant clue of Charlie being Winona's relative.
At 0:15 you can see on the chalkboard designs for the radia, proving that she was working in the factory, AND the person who went through the portal was indeed wagstaff
I'm so damn excited for these backstories!! There's so much to dissect here, I've been waiting YEARS to learn more about the characters and I've never been more ecstatic about a game. Also Winona has lesbian energy. just saying

Use more gun. Take for instance this heavy caliber tripod mounted lil' old number designed by me, built by me, and you best hope... Not pointed at you.

So the board at the beginning of the video seems to have certain clues about how some of the characters got into the Don’t Starve world. At 0:09, you can see that there was a fire at the New York Public Library, which could refer to Wickerbottom since she’s known as “The Librarian”. In addition to that, there’s a clipping of a picture that says “Exposition Universelle”, which is French for World Exhibition. Since it’s French, this can refer to either Wes or Wolfgang. Wolfgang has voice lines that refer to him being of French origin, while Wes’s in-game character selection has the Eiffel Tower. (Also mimes are usually portrayed as French). There’s also a blueprint of WX-78, meaning that he could’ve been built in the real world rather than in the Constant, as some people have theorized. Then there’s the obvious ones like Abigail’s Flower and Charlie’s disappearance. I would like to know if the little note at the far right that talks about aliens is an intentional hint as to a new character or some lore, or if it’s something that Klei put in for fun.
Thomas “Is delicacy in my country.”- Wolfgang when examining frog legs, which is most commonly attributed to the French cuisine. He could be German too, since frog legs are also eaten in Germany. Still, the point stands that he could’ve been transported to the Constant during the World Fair Fire. In the 1900s, the World Fair was an expo in Paris that presented achievements and INVENTIONS from around the world, including all of Europe. Someone could’ve made a portal to present to the fair, which would’ve caused the fire and transported a few characters
in the beginning, you can see many references to different characters such as Maxwell & Charlie, Wendy, Wagstaff, WX, Willow, and Wickerbottom. The explanation for this is the magic show poster, there is a note saying Wagstaff, the flower Wendy has, there is a pic of WX taken apart, There is a newspaper on a library burning down the person who burnt it down is Willow and Wickerbottom is the librarian there.
I cannot say how much I LOVE this animation style, I can’t even explain it! I love it and lore is amazing too! I can’t wait to see more videos like this and am really happy that you (as a team) are putting a lot of work into it! And thank you for all of these animations!

The kid looks way younger than Winona, plus this is like the 1920’s and child labor was still legal, so that basically explains it, plus Winona did just save her cause she was about to get crushed by the rubble
I've heard guesses that Winona took Genny under her wing, like a protege. I think it would be really interesting if it were an amiable mentor-mentee relationship, and the mention that Genny appears much younger than Winona makes me think that as well.

Wilson cried ove the roasting fire were his friend disappeared in the shadows of his fallen fabric knowing that perhaps Winona wasn’t cooked but perhaps she was inside the mysterious portal he goes back to his house trying to remake the portal after his experience blowed up a voice said to him “say pal you don’t look so good”

It depends on whether the corkboard was put together (or _continued_ to be put together) before, or AFTER Winona got slurped into The Constant. If before, it could be her, if after, it's someone else and OOH MYSTERY TIME.
I believe the board is from someone who's investigating the criminal fires and disappearances of Wendy, Wickerbottom, Winona and probably all the others. That's also probably the person who built WX78, which they might have sent to the DST universe in order to save all the others. The last new character would then be a inverstigator of some sort that got stuck into this mess for pushing their curiosity too far. Considering they're theoretically capable of building a robot, it could very well be Winona's close friend that weeped her death at the end of this video
It's winona's, the small note next to the factory says "gain access to Voxola, which is the name of the factory manufactorint the voxola radio, utilised in the divining rod, there is also voxola application above the photo of the factory, and the blantant clue of Charlie being Winona's relative.

So the board at the beginning of the video seems to have certain clues about how some of the characters got into the Don’t Starve world. At 0:09, you can see that there was a fire at the New York Public Library, which could refer to Wickerbottom since she’s known as “The Librarian”. In addition to that, there’s a clipping of a picture that says “Exposition Universelle”, which is French for World Exhibition. Since it’s French, this can refer to either Wes or Wolfgang. Wolfgang has voice lines that refer to him being of French origin, while Wes’s in-game character selection has the Eiffel Tower. (Also mimes are usually portrayed as French). There’s also a blueprint of WX-78, meaning that he could’ve been built in the real world rather than in the Constant, as some people have theorized. Then there’s the obvious ones like Abigail’s Flower and Charlie’s disappearance. I would like to know if the little note at the far right that talks about aliens is an intentional hint as to a new character or some lore, or if it’s something that Klei put in for fun.

He could be German too, since frog legs are also eaten in Germany. Still, the point stands that he could’ve been transported to the Constant during the World Fair Fire. In the 1900s, the World Fair was an expo in Paris that presented achievements and INVENTIONS from around the world, including all of Europe. Someone could’ve made a portal to present to the fair, which would’ve caused the fire and transported a few characters
in the beginning, you can see many references to different characters such as Maxwell & Charlie, Wendy, Wagstaff, WX, Willow, and Wickerbottom. The explanation for this is the magic show poster, there is a note saying Wagstaff, the flower Wendy has, there is a pic of WX taken apart, There is a newspaper on a library burning down the person who burnt it down is Willow and Wickerbottom is the librarian there.
I cannot say how much I LOVE this animation style, I can’t even explain it! I love it and lore is amazing too! I can’t wait to see more videos like this and am really happy that you (as a team) are putting a lot of work into it! And thank you for all of these animations!

I've heard guesses that Winona took Genny under her wing, like a protege. I think it would be really interesting if it were an amiable mentor-mentee relationship, and the mention that Genny appears much younger than Winona makes me think that as well.
