Being able to suddenly fit a ton of sake/beer in my day pack is actually a feature requirement for when I swing by a brewery so it is good to see you could easily fit 12 bottles in there if you took them out of the box.
the laptop compartment in the 15l is very tight. I could barely fit my 13" Dell work laptop and taking it out was difficult. Seems they have totally built it around a macbook pro so be aware if you are using another brand. I returned mine and will buy a 20l
Great review, very very clear ! I had two questions about this bag.. 1) For a small backpack like a 15L and for someone who is 5'10 (~180cm) how do you find the bag position on your back? I find that for smaller bags, it ends up being the bottom edge of the bag that touches my back (concetrates weight there), and the top part does not even touch my back at all. Additionally, small bags usually ride a bit too high and that bottom edge is actually closer to the middle of my back. Is this a problem with this bag? 2) Is there a securing mechanism for the zipper at the bottom (such as a a loop that the zipper can lock to) to prevent thieves from opening bags from there?
Just found your channel from the memobottle video. Looking through your cyannel revealed you have great videos, exactly the type of gear I'm looking for.
how does the everyday sling v2 (3L/6L) fit inside the 15L backpack zip? thinking if the slings can be fit as packing cube and if i need additional storage i can use the slings as fanny packs freeing up the space in the backpack
I regret I bought the regular backpack and not this zip bag. The difference is the ease of maximizing and accessing space, specially the bottom of the bag from side only vs. full open from the top. I specially hate that not going all the way down side zipper that makes retrieving stuff from the bottom from the regular backpack scratch my hand. I ended up also gave up buying this zip bag and choose a WANDRD Instead is the limited ability to configure the origami dividers. Still use my Peak Design backpack but limited when I only carry two cameras no extra lens and accessory.
Is this bag good as everyday carry? I am not a photographer nor i carry a camera. Just want to use for my travel and holidays for carrying - basic things and few gadgets. Would you recommend it? Also can you fit in a peak design field pouch inside 15L backpack?
Yes the Everyday Backpack Zip works well for daily carry. You'll have a number of different ways to carry your everyday gear, you'll just have to adjust your flex fold dividers to suit it. As for the Field Pouch, yep you can fit it inside. Hope that helps! - Ed
@@RushfasterTV thanks, can even the tech pouch fit inside? I plan to use for only travels with laptop or tablet (either of them). I hope the compartment is not too tight.
Yep you can slip one of the legs of the Befree into the side pockets and then secure it with the straps that come with the bag. That's typically how you'd secure it :) Hope that helps - Ed
I'm so tempted to buy this, i'm worried that i'm not really a photographer and i barely carry my sony mirrorless around. I wonder if it's too big for me. I do carry my macbook pro 15inch everywhere.
Hey there - you show a divider for the tablet, but according to the PD site, they say the 15L doesn't have a tablet sleeve (only in the 20L). Can you confirm your video is the 15L and not the 20L?
@@RushfasterTV i bought one and had to return it. it failed the ran test miserably. 1 minute low shower head and the corners all got wet. $250 they should have included a rain bag.
He says its the 15L at the begging of the video. One thing I learned though is if you have a 15-inch laptop according to peak it won't fit in the 15L bag so that might be a thing to think about. 20L is not that big I was looking at the 20L everyday bags at a camera shop near me and I was surprised how small it was.
@@nathanielmobley4362 The normal Everyday backpack 20L is a bit misleading though, as I believe it's around 17L at the low setting and 20L at the max setting?
This bag have really a big problem of design with the only one zip, too dangerous for camera and lens, the V1 with 2 zip and third open was really better.
I cannot help but think that Peak Design missed an opportunity with this bag, if they gave it rear access it would not only have been more functional, but more secure. They could then offer the best of both worlds with the two different bags. This zippered bag could also do with some more high tech urban features, considering people walking around with phones / airpods would prefer the smaller more streamlined zippered version.
Hi Kunal, the 15L version can only hold a 13” Macbook Pro. The bigger 20L fits 2021 Macbook Pro 14" and 16" models. See more here: www.peakdesign.com/products/everyday-backpack-zip?rfsn=3015277.b8f2e8&variant=29743829254188. Cheers!
Thanks for showing the bag on body, from sides and back. I wish Peak did this on their website so it was easier to decide on a size that fit.
inkh they do do this, it’s in the photos

i like the way you think
i've been looking everywhere for a good divider setup and this is the best one i've seen. thanks for the video and i totally stole your bag setup lol.
Hi Allen! Glad our video review was helpful. You can say you got inspired by our bag set up :) Cheers!
This was the best thorough review of this backpack! Every features are shown and identified! Very impressive review! 💠💠💠😃
Glad you liked it!
Just bought the bag through your link today. 😃
You are by far my favourite channel for backpacks and pouches, the reviews are really deatiled and you make me want to buy everything
Hey Laura! Appreciate the feedback! -Rolan
Very detailed review. You put all the things that I need to know. Really helped me to make a decision. Thank you!
Glad we could help! - Ed
20L is probably the happy medium for me
This was a great run through all what is needed to know. Thanks.
I would love to buy one and try for a while but I just think a $200 is too much.
Glad it helped you mate!
If you end up getting a different bag to this, let me know which one you opted for - would love to hear.
Cheers, Ed

I’d like to see you leave it out in the rain for a while. Or hike in the rain for a few miles.
great review! Included every details I need. Thanks.

I have the 20L and it fits my 16" Macbook
Can i have the dimension of your macbook please :)
Lovely video but I would recommend using some soundproof materials to avoid the echos. Just saying. Good luck !
Thanks for the feedback Suhas - will take into account! :)

how does the everyday sling v2 (3L/6L) fit inside the 15L backpack zip?
thinking if the slings can be fit as packing cube and if i need additional storage i can use the slings as fanny packs freeing up the space in the backpack
Can I still use the side access? Just the right side
Yep for sure! Totally up to you how you decide to pack and organise your gear. Heaps of different ways to sort your load outs. - Ed
Nice review..well done. Do you know if the 15lt and/or 20lt packs be acceptable as carry ons?
Yep! Both should be good for carry on :)
Glad you liked the video!

Good job on the review!

when you will do the Messenger v2 review? great review keep it up

Tom Lee it’s called the everyday backpack. It’s versatile enough to use for anything really.

it does have a tablet sleeve but its incredibly tight fit with a laptop in there as well. You would really have to shove the tablet in the sleeve

You'd have to compare the dims of your lappy.

This size is 15L?
Yep that's correct :)
Can this 15L fit a 15" macbook?
Yep!
This review can be much much better you show as you tell.
Thanks for the advice Michael! :)

So the shoulder straps are not magnetic to the back like the everyday v2?
Josh Yang They are, yes.
Was there really anything in your coffee cup?
Hahah yes - way too hot pourover
I was hoping for an USB port and an anti thief design.. I think that bobby is a lot better and less expensive.
If you are in Oz get the Crumpler Mantra Pro at half the price with a USB port.
So many IKEA products...

This backpack looks "bald" on the top there

what an annoying music
Another bag just like all the others, nothing new and nothing that hasn't been done before
PeakDesign is a mediocre design brand that uses influencer marketing to act as if it was a popular and established bag manufacturer.
does this fit the 16 inch laptop m1 pro?
