Teleporting MC I've been waiting years for a character like this.Absoulty amazing,and like every white hair MC i know he will be a combo god. Love the after image he makes when he moves around and the enemy design is fantastic.

This is hands-down absolutely outstanding are you using root motion?
Using both root motion, forces and impulse and different positioning methods / movement modes, the animations had so many issues (they're from packs) so I manipulated them to work for me exactly as I want lol!

I was not expecting that wall jump move, now I'm trying to figure how you did that.
I removed it a while ago purely because of hardware issues, but will retry to implement a better version of it. It was a spawnable spline which ran off a timeline which propelled the character capsule forward and up (or whichever way the spline was) and and the end, animations + Launch + VFX + area damage.
I'm getting hella final fantasy 7 remake vibes.

There's quite a few tutorials on RUclips now, search hack and slash tutorial Unreal engine, I genuinely don't have the time to make tutorials at this moment

This was incredible Im in school for game design and this combined my two favorite things in action games the combat and movement. Did you make the animations yourself they are so clean and fun to watch?
The animations were a mixture of bought and my own, in my latest videos I have begun adding my own animations but still use bought animations

How to run with the letter shift when pressing once, and to stop running press the letter shift again. Please help me.
No idea off the top of my head but here's what I guess:
> On input pressed set a Bool, Shift pressed. Flip flop between true and false.
> Check for that bool in the anim graph and set up a sprint start, loop and end.
> Start of the sprint should check for that shift pressed Bool and end should check for the false of that bool.
If you want it more complicated in blendspace you would have to make a blendspace of the full 8 way sprint anims and then blend between pose checking Bool again in the anim blueprint.
There's so many different ways, hope it helps

I think it was one of the free packs Unreal gave away, I got rid of them and made my own lol but I think it's called Sword FX?

how did you script the combat system? did you make an Enum for states and make a variable of that enum in your player and use it as a state machine and everytime you press an input you check if the state is a specific state (for example you attack and the game checks if the state is either "idle" or "finished attacking") and executes things based on that, or you did something completely different

@@Zahidgames i was refering to how you programmed the logic for the combat system, the thing that differenciates between what state you're currently in when pressing certain actions ie when you're still in the middle of an attack animation you can't move or dodge or jump until the animation finishes but when you finished attacking in the time it takes before you reset to the default state you can jump dash etc... but not move
basically im interested in how you programed the logic that makes the whole combat system
i was just bringing up an example with making an enum for a state machine (and you can also make enums in blueprints as well), as i saw that on YukoMallenia's channel and i thought to myself "damn that shit makes tons of sense" and seeing as how you were in an AAA studio i thought that maybe you did something similar to that since i assume that AAA studios tend to take the simplest route as possible
ah you know im just interested in knowing how you did that, not that it matters to me as in my game i have it programmed quite differently (a pretty damn bootleg/confusing AF method, but hey it works at least)
but hey if you don't wanna share it its completely fine i completely understand
What software do you use for creating VFX and animations? I'm trying to find a suitable program but couldn't decide
Looks like he's just using ue5, and some purchased assets. I'd wager he's tweaked assets to fit his needs and possiblly used nanite to make some particle effects ..
