Nice one BB. Nice how you add different things; like the new 360 deg camera. Keeps things really fresh and interesting. have a good day an lets look forward to that 5000 subs
I set it far too high and this was the first time I used it Colin… I lowered it for the MTX5 video and it worked 10 times better, so hopefully have it sussed now… threw up a few dodgy angles in this video… 🤦🏻♂️ role on 5k! BB
Good honest review as ever BB. Little bird has a talent in front of the camera 🎥. Top value rod. Tackle doesn’t have to cost a fortune to be quality. 360 camera works well if some of the angles are bit different. Well done trying new kit to film to keep the channel moving forward. All the best tight lines Pete 🎣
I set it far too high and this was the first time I used it Pete… I lowered it for the MTX5 video and it worked 10 times better, so hopefully have it sussed now… threw up a few dodgy angles in this video… 🤦🏻♂️ Really appreciate the feedback mate 👍🏻 BB
I don’t think they’re available Martin unfortunately 🤷🏻♂️ My go to for silvers would be a Free Spirit Feederlite… beautiful rod and beautiful action! 👌🏻BB
Very Similar Richard… but I’d say the A-Class has a little more forgiving and softer action from Blank to Tip… both brilliant rods for the money! 👍🏻 BB
It is indeed Sav! Little H loves getting in a RUclips video… 😆 I throw him in there occasionally 😆 it was a great rod for the money… wouldn’t be out of place with £70/£80 rods really 💪🏻 BB
I have the same set up, got it on the day of release and I have had carp to 12lb so far with no problems at all, I would recomend it for the price if you want that little extra distance
I fish wild Irish lakes mainly for big bream and big skimmers and really good roach, anywhere between 30 and 50 metres, which A class do you recommend for me please BB.
They look and feel nice rods. I’ve heard a few issues with the reel, screws and threads being knackered, but I’ve also heard there’s no problem with exchanging the faulty ones. Cracking review, great video. Wanted a 13ft float but could get hold of one to test. Guru look to have done a good job with the A class.
There wasn’t much difference (if any) between this rod and the old Daiwa Yank ‘n’ Bank Lee… yet 2/3 years ago, the Daiwa was £100/£120… this little A-class is a great option for commercial fisheries at half that price 👍🏻 appreciate you taking the time to comment Lee 👍🏻 BB
Great review. Very true.....affordable now days is better than top end not too far back!!! Loved the new presenter. Little legend 😅👍🏼 Tight lines BB 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🎣🎣🎣🎣
For the money David, the reel is very good! Don't get me wrong, it's never going to perform or feel in the hand like a Shimano XR or a Daiwa TDR, but, for regular pleasure and occasional match fishing, they're excellent reels! They've done a great job on affordability! BB
have you tried the matrix aquos ultra c feeder rods BB? think theyre around £50-60 depending on length. i got the 10ft and it is amazing, the action on it from small silvers to big carp is amazing. well worth a review
I have got this rod and the guru A class 4000 reel on an offer for £80 with the reel spooled up with 8lb guru line. I love using it a luverly through action and plays all fish with ease
These a cracking rods BB. I have had the exact same one since they came out and I love it! Was at my local commercial today with my lad. He had the Guru A Class and I had a brand spanking new Free Spirit 11’ Feederlite. The Free Spirit has a far better action…or at least it did until it snapped in two😲 fish was just shy of 6lb so not a monster My Guru is almost a third of the price and has pulled out up to 12lb before no problem.
Wow! What feederlite was it? I have the 10’ CTX feederlite and landed 12lb on it no problem (as long as I set the drag and have some lake to play with), the feederlites are aimed towards bream and silver fishing to be fair… but you make a great point, that A-Class is punching above it’s weight with ease 👍🏻 BB
It’s the CTX 11ft Feederlite. I was only aiming for F1’s and the odd carp which it should handle comfortably. I had played the fish for some time and them ‘crack’ it was in two pieces. Not overly curved at the time so I am guessing it has a manufacturing fault, it should handle a 6 or 7lb carp easily, let’s face it who knows how big that Bream might be. I will take it back to my local tackle shop tomorrow, I’ve only had it a week and today was the first outing. But as you say these A Class rods are really punching above their weight. I’d not hesitate having another, just thought I’d treat myself to the Free Spirit this time.
Just swapped out the carrier section at my local tackle shop, no quibbles whatsoever. They were amazed it had happened. I know them well so I will ask them if they find out the actual outcome in terms of manufacturing fault.
Hi Shane. Great to see BigBird reaching across the pond 👍🏼 The BigBird floats can be bought online. You have the option of using the global shipping programme, during your final payment. Just search GORTINI POLE FLOATS, and scan the product page for the Big Bird links. Tight lines 🎣

Good review BB. Nice to see the bigger brands offering quality gear at an affordable price.
Absolutely! After speaking to Andy May, it looks like something they will continue to keep developing… there’s definitely a market! 👍🏻 BB
Great video mate I am always looking forward to watching new videos from you every time it pops up on my phone happy days 😊🎣👏🎣👏💯
Means the world Shaun and it’s comments like this that keep me churning out the content… if you enjoy it, it’s my complete pleasure! 👍🏻 BB
Nice video!! Im looking for a rod for silver fishing to and wondered can you buy separately different size tips like a 0.75oz tip?
I don’t think they’re available Martin unfortunately 🤷🏻♂️ My go to for silvers would be a Free Spirit Feederlite… beautiful rod and beautiful action! 👌🏻BB
Nicely done BB. Glad they look like decent rods. I picked up an A-Class pellet waggler rod with some Christmas money. Not used it yet tho.
You won’t be disappointed Dave 👍🏻 BB
Great video BB, how does the A class compare with the equally priced Preston Ignition 10ft?
Very Similar Richard… but I’d say the A-Class has a little more forgiving and softer action from Blank to Tip… both brilliant rods for the money! 👍🏻 BB
Was the reel any good? I've come across mixed opinions of it online.
@@TetrarchTD it’s not bad at all for the money buddy 👍🏻 BB
@FirstTimeFishing Thanks I think I'll get one 👍
Decent rod for the money. Was that Matt in the background? Little bird is taking over. 🐦

3 piece 12ft Brian… softer action, ideal for skimmers and Bream, good casting weight too 👍🏻 BB
Cheers big man 👍. Think I'll go for the 70g, I'll never be throwin more than that.

@@leegarner6013 haha, absolutely Lee… Big Bird LOVES a comment 😆👍🏻 BB
I've ordered the 13 foot waggler, I'll let you know what it's like when I've got it.
@@northernthrifter8817 Brilliant! Can’t wait to hear what you thought of it 👍🏻 BB
Have the 10ft absolutely love it paired with the a class 4000 reel

Bit of weird angle but quality is really good 👍
Agreed Adam... I had it set too high I think... it came out really well on the MTX5 video... we learn though! Thanks for the feedback! BB
Good rod,but is the hard action.
Tips are flimsy, had 2 break... 1 broke just off the weight of a 30g feeder the other broke on a fish... I will be getting something different
Good to know Luke… I wouldn’t be chucking 30g+ feeders with 1oz and 1.5oz tips, but it shouldn’t be cracking off like that 🤷🏻♂️ BB
They are rated up to 40g mate and I didn't even chuck it, it snapped off with literally the weight of a feeder 🤣
