I grew up in Louisville, Fern Creek to be exact. I have seen how the city has expanded in population and crime, especially drug problems. Growing up, Bardstown road used to be easy to get through. Now it’s a nightmare with the increased traffic.
Thank you very much for this video! It has been so educational. I am moving to Louisville as a PhD candidate and this was by far the best video I found about Louisville on RUclips! Keep up the great work!
What wasn't mentioned about the schools. JCPS raises your home taxes every year. They also get around 40% of your vehicle, boat and rv taxes every year. All with the excuse of they need more money due to being broke, but the superintendent gets and $75,000 annual raise. Still trying to figure out how $26 million was spent on a new gym, auditorium and mediocre upgrades. Someone made out like a bandit in that bid.
Moving to Louisville. You can speed in the school zone with impunity. Cops don’t yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. Nobody does. Ride your bike? My son gets a polar pop tossed at him weekly. So if this your idea of fun I’d move to Louisville.
I grew up in south Louisville Fairdale I've watched this city deteriorate use to be great i moved 6 years ago dont regret it a bit in Etown now.....wayyyy better
Louisville was founded in honor of King Louis (Not Louah, not luhaa, but "Louie.") the XVI. When you visit, you are visiting "Louie Ville" not Louhvul, or Luvull, not LooAhVull, and so on. It is "Louie Ville". Got it?
Yikes! You got me there! I can't believe I missed that during the editing process (tho Cincinnati’s skyline does have its charm!) Thanks for the catch-I'll work on my skyline skills for next time! 😅
I don’t give a rats house about the food in Louisville. I don’t live there. I don’t have any intentions of moving back there like I said, Mark’s barbecue was decent and the Vietnamese place and apparently you haven’t been to cities that have actual restaurants that are decent. I don’t care where you live. Maybe you just have poor choice and food. This is for Dirk whoever the hell that keeps tagging me.
Kentucky doesn't rank so well in health statistics. According to CDC, Kentucky ranks badly in heart disease, diabetes, respiratory ailments, cancer, kidney, stroke, septicemia, flu, and accidents. Kentucky ranks #39, in comparison to all the states among a wide range of issues, but ranks a poor #46 in health issues. Kentucky ranks 3.5 years less in life expectancy. Here Kentucky has either the minority or majority U.S. Senate leader, plus another U.S. Senator who is an eye doctor, but still ranks so poorly, with both governing Kentucky through their true conservative credentials of poor rankings. If you are hip about good finances and good health, the good life is still awaiting you in Jefferson County.
You aren't not a careful reader. I said 'according to CDC'. CDC is short for Center for Disease Control, employing those in the sciences, medicine, healthcare, technology, and so on.
That doesn’t mean you have to eat and consume everything that everybody else has been consuming in Louisville. It’s not about the city. It’s about what you consume.
Our city is being overrun with foreigners it's becoming a Spanish speaking city, and they are taking all the jobs, I guess we are supposed to happy about this !
If you're considering coming to Kentucky we have 67,000 illegal immigrants crime is through the roof killings more than ever every single night you never know when it's safe to go downtown that's why nobody goes anymore and it's spreading all throughout Kentucky
Not sure who will move to Louisville after watching this! Winters here are NOT that bad however! If you come here buy in the East end where most everything is better

Lexington is better if given the choice between the 2. I love Louisville, but it is becoming over crowded and crime ridden for the worse.
Thanks for sharing!
Making Louisville almost the entirety of Jefferson county was a mistake.
I found this video to be immediately irrelevant at.03 when I realize the skyline being shown is Cincinnati. EPIC FAIL.
Yikes! You got me there! I can't believe I missed that during the editing process (tho Cincinnati’s skyline does have its charm!) Thanks for the catch-I'll work on my skyline skills for next time! 😅
Interracial relationships are acceptable in Louisville.

I found the Heals up Harris and Tampon Tim supporter.
Who would ever move to Louisville after the way the authorities treated Scottie Scheffler.
It wasn’t the best moment for our city 😔

mega high crime rate too.

Louisville has great people what about that? Stop telling others how to be healthy, you aren’t our doctor.

Kentucky's transportation costs are higher than the national average for sure.
If you're losing a job to a person that doesn't speak English, you should probably look at yourself before blaming them.
If you're considering coming to Kentucky we have 67,000 illegal immigrants crime is through the roof killings more than ever every single night you never know when it's safe to go downtown that's why nobody goes anymore and it's spreading all throughout Kentucky
Them are facts look it up
Just watch Fox 41 news in Louisville every morning there's station downtown
Crime has actually fallen quite a bit in the last few years.

A lot of black racists in Louisville
