Well even in Cuba they have a lot of racism there as well. The lighter skinned cubans are racists to the darker skinned ones and they carry that to the USA. Not surprising thats why most who come here that are light skinned vote republican in elections they vote in. So the relationship between blacks and cubans if strenuous at best depending who they are and where they came from. Skin color still bothers folks no matter where they live or move to. Racism is learned and doesnt go away unless they make a choice to stop being racists. That goes for anyone anywhere.

    you have a skewed view
    Drug use isn’t racist.
All people have a choice to drugs or not regardless of race.
A town that’s already full of settled people of any race will be most likely filled with people of the same color regardless of race because people generally live with the same type people and all you have to do is look at all animals on earth to see this.
Race is a factor as people generally hang out with the same race regardless of skin color.
A rebel flag doesn’t make you racist,, it indicates you May be racist but you could be a strong believer in Freedom and want to REBEL against authority.
I own rebel flags and don’t think the color of skin means anything. It’s the color of your heart that matters.
If I had to pick a most racist race it would be black BUT that doesn’t mean the majority of black people are racist.
It just means the most racist people I’ve met traveling Florida into all types of communities as a 30yr paramedic and firefighter and nature explorer are the black low income people who blame white people for all their failures but if you pay attention, you’ll find that almost everyone who is poor and life sucks blame somebody else for their problems.
I’ve lived in Jacksonville and the Tampa Bay area and I had family in the 1860s north west of Gainesville. My families been in Florida since 1859 and according to census data from 1860 we are to 300 acre farms and 12 slaves. Unfortunately, a lot of family history was lost and all those people are dead so I can’t tell you what the specifics were except that both my grandfather and his brother walked away from the farm many many years ago.
Well, owning other people is just a lie as you can’t really own a person that is not how it was seen to a lot of people worldwide prior to the 1900s and slavery is still see it is OK by too many people.
However, back in the 1800s it was a part of life. If you couldn’t raise your crops, then people died without food, and labor, was needed to do that.
This included many black plantation owners who owned their own black slaves.
You should do some research on Florida under Spanish control.
They used to cut 1 foot off Indians, so they wouldn’t run away.
Florida has a horrible history just like the rest of the country and just like the rest of the world when it comes to how some people were treated whether they were witches or slaves and slaves came in many colors not just black.
Fortunately, most humans have evolved, but some still live in the past and blame others for their problems.
It’s pretty simple to pick the right direction.
If you work for it and earn your life be proud.
If you did not earn it, there is no reason to be proud of it, and none of us earned the color of our skin.
All of our ancestors, including the Native American Indians, came from somewhere else at some point in time when there were no laws telling us we could or couldn’t be here but there are laws now, so those laws need to be followed, although they could definitely be changed to make more sense and be more human.
After all that, the bottom line is FLORIDA is a pretty good place although I rarely go into Miami because honestly there’s just too much crime and that’s actually true of every large city in America where people are squashed together , but in the country side outside the city limits most people in Florida are nice.

Most of tue violent crimes that take place in the county happen in those areas. It's where you're at .. not who you are. Which is marketed by tourism as a cute little fishing town with shoppes and restaurants over the water. Unfortunately they don't tell you that if you are of color you need to be outta town by sundown. I know there is plenty of racism though because I hear about it from other people and it is unfortunate. Everyone has the right to be racist though, everyone has the right to dislike people based on race as that is pretty much a human right but that doesn't make it the right way to live one's life though. The vast large population centers of Florida, (Miami, Tampa, St. Pete, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Tallahassee, Key West) are filled with people who just what to get along, so they can live in peace and afford life.
On the death rate on drug overdose; I have a question: Since you have to use the drug to die from overuse, wouldn't the death rate just show users, not sellers? Many deaths are new users and the police have no way to guess new buyers or 'gifted' drug use. Sellers are easier to pick out of the crowd, perhaps.

First of all, Homossassa, is in an area that is deemed a water & wildlife conservation preserve. There are people from all over the U.S. who have relocated there, and respect the State’s Laws and Regulations that are beneficial to the survival of the aquatic and land botanical plants, and wildlife species indigenous to that area of Florida. Racist toward anyone, any color who want to invade it with their life style of drug addictions, criminal activity, disrespect of Law and turn it into trashy, unsanitary, homeless camping garbage dump. If that is based on racism, they would not deny the favored race from doing it, now would they. If the majority of crimes committed by the people seen on security camera footage at the time, and/or arrested are seen to be one certain racial skin color, it is definitely accurate to associate that race to being most likely to post a threat to community’s safety of the citizens of all racial ethnicity, who are trying to keep a safe and law abiding place to live. So, ya, call out the problem and guilty race. That’s telling the truth.

I respect what you’re trying to do in these videos, but I feel like I have to correct you on something here: if someone who loves America, and by extension Florida, is your measuring stick on who is a racist, then you’ve set the bar far below underground. It’s perfectly fine and acceptable to say that you don’t like people from certain states in general. It could be for cultural reasons, regional differences or political reasons (which is probably the most likely reason). As a native New Yorker myself who was born and raised there, I would argue that rich sheltered trust fund kids who moved there from the west coast throughout the 2000s effed up my home state pretty bad. That’s not racism. If you’re assuming that only one race of people moved to Florida, you would still be wrong. It cheapens the word worse than it already is when you apply it to a circumstance like this. And we also need to stop assuming someone’s intentions when they use words like “ours” or “they”. You can’t just assume you know what they mean by “they” our “ours”. Go ahead and allow them to clarify and let them say the race if that’s what is meant. Let them confirm their racism. A true racist will straight up say it to your face without hesitation or respect to how you’ll feel. They usually don’t dance around what they mean. Assuming stranger’s intent is racism is what causes so much division and ignorance in our country.

Miami is not any better. You talk about regionalism but it seems like you think that Miami is way better than any other place in Florida when that's simply not the case. I am also from Miami, Hispanic (family from Peru), and let me tell you I've experienced quite a lot of racism from Cubans and other Latinos there. I found that a lot of Cubans are hostile towards Blacks and Latinos with more indigenous origins (Peruvians, Mexicans, Salvadorans, Nicaraguans, Bolivians, etc). While it's true the areas in this video are not the friendliest or most open-minded, neither is Miami. The sad thing is that racism can come from members of any race. I spent some years living in NYC and it's also very racist up there. I had problems with Blacks and Dominicans up there who would discriminate against me. So it's not just White folks. BTW I am not saying all Cubans are like this but I am shocked at the amount of them who are. My sister's fiancee is Cuban and is one of the nicest guys around. Lots of Cubans are good people. However don't act like Cubans and Miami are saints. Also racism is a big problem in Cuba itself. Read the autobiography of Celia Cruz and see when she had to go through when she was growing up in Havana.
