As a Muslim girl living in Muslim country I would say if people ask from Muslims whether they want their country to be religious or secular , they would say religious but then they would want to flee to non Muslim secular countries for a better life, and as I live in Pakistan , according to men here Islam only applies to women, and we women are going to be the one who will be answerable to God, men leave their houses wearing shorts even though it is equally haram for them like a woman showing her hair but nobody gives a beep when a man isn't following a religion, people keep on saying that burqa or hijaab saves women from lusty men but in my life I have never seen a man who lowers his gaze, they even look at women in burqa like they have never seen a woman before and even I have seen some videos where women are sexually harassed in my country despite being fully covered and men justify it by saying that it's her fault that she left her home alone, if she was with her brother or any other man of her family she wouldn't be harassed, these are the same men who believe in killing women if she doesn't cover herself or let a man touch her, but then these are same man who would justify r@pes just because victim wasn't wearing hijaab

Years ago we went to a theme park in Ohio. Lined up for the roller coaster, I saw a woman completely covered. Head to toe. In front of her were two young men dressed in shorts and tee shirts. It was at least 85-90 degrees that day. She had to be sweltering in the sun. That is not a law of God. That is a mans rule to control women. I thank God I live in America.

The same happened to Christianity. The Catholic Church changed interpretations of the New Testament mostly around the 14th century and from there on all, the many denominations that stemmed from the original Christ's teachings. We also have a problem with fanatism.

This is just my view as a Muslim living in Kuwait, what is giving us hate all around the world 1. Most of the Muslims from the poorer Islamic countries (like Syrian refugees, this is what I've observed) cause mischief in the other lands, and are looked down upon. They have deviated a lot from the teachings of Islam. (I don't want to hear that the West are responsible for creating refugees in Middle East, i will ask Who were the ones that let them? Where is the unity in the Islamic nations and leaders when one Muslim nation is in crisis?) Had us Muslims understood and implemented the Quran like the sahabi did, and had good aqlaaq(conduct) and manners of the excellence, the world would have loved our nations and we would have been prosperous like the time of the caliphs. I live in UK. About 10 years ago I witnessed what I think was a woman collapse on the bus on which I was travelling. If the host and yourself actually studied Shariah you would not be saying that. The western world which I have lived in for the most part is now an intellectual and moral cesspit. A concrete jungle, a rat race where laws are made to exploit the masses not to create an equitable society. The lack of banditry and murder is not because of the punishments. It may be sensible but it is not practicable. I don't know what religion you follow but can you imagine that religion making even a small change because the changing times require it? Most people who truly believe in a religion do so completely accepting all of it and will not agree to changing it. As a Muslim girl living in Muslim country I would say if people ask from Muslims whether they want their country to be religious or secular , they would say religious but then they would want to flee to non Muslim secular countries for a better life, and as I live in Pakistan , according to men here Islam only applies to women, and we women are going to be the one who will be answerable to God, men leave their houses wearing shorts even though it is equally haram for them like a woman showing her hair but nobody gives a beep when a man isn't following a religion, people keep on saying that burqa or hijaab saves women from lusty men but in my life I have never seen a man who lowers his gaze, they even look at women in burqa like they have never seen a woman before and even I have seen some videos where women are sexually harassed in my country despite being fully covered and men justify it by saying that it's her fault that she left her home alone, if she was with her brother or any other man of her family she wouldn't be harassed, these are the same men who believe in killing women if she doesn't cover herself or let a man touch her, but then these are same man who would justify r@pes just because victim wasn't wearing hijaab

The same happened to Christianity. The Catholic Church changed interpretations of the New Testament mostly around the 14th century and from there on all, the many denominations that stemmed from the original Christ's teachings. We also have a problem with fanatism.

This is just my view as a Muslim living in Kuwait, what is giving us hate all around the world
1. As stated by her, Muslims don't follow their own sharia, and have changed it from the actual laws, misusing it, taking to the extremes etc., and making Islamic countries hard to live in peacefully for instance Pakistan, its actually far from the actual Islam.
2. Now when they fail to make their own Islamic countries prosperous, they go to other Western countries for a better life, all the while deviate from Islam and also demand sharia laws in the non-muslim country. Most of the Muslims from the poorer Islamic countries (like Syrian refugees, this is what I've observed) cause mischief in the other lands, and are looked down upon. They have deviated a lot from the teachings of Islam. (I don't want to hear that the West are responsible for creating refugees in Middle East, i will ask Who were the ones that let them? Where is the unity in the Islamic nations and leaders when one Muslim nation is in crisis?)
Had us Muslims understood and implemented the Quran like the sahabi did, and had good aqlaaq(conduct) and manners of the excellence, the world would have loved our nations and we would have been prosperous like the time of the caliphs. We are responsible for our conditions today.

The western world which I have lived in for the most part is now an intellectual and moral cesspit. A concrete jungle, a rat race where laws are made to exploit the masses not to create an equitable society.

Most people who truly believe in a religion do so completely accepting all of it and will not agree to changing it. Even in the rare instances when changes are made to a religion, they take around 50 yeras to be discussed and finalised. By the time the change is effected, it is already outdated.

I totally agree with Ms. Palki on this -- the problem lies with the interpretation and the implementation. And I'm saying this as a practicing Muslim. It all boils down to "men running women's lives." This is the kind of journalism we aspire to. Well-researched and well-delivered.

She sees the bs behind all these, that’s why she’s calling them out. In one of her recent posts on Instagram, she empathized with the Afghan women and their plights.
