We have at least 20 sharia councils active in the UK, we've had to shut down muslim schools which have turned out to be fronts as sharia centres and we found them carrying out FGM in birmingham

Trouble is you CAN'T ban Sharia Law. Sharia Law is just the legal aspect of Islam and Islam itself is more than just a religion (and Hell, people are willing to kill for that alone). It is also a political system AND a legal system, all wrapped up in one. This is precisely why people have been warning about letting it take root in this country - it is literally EVERYTHING to its adherents and its underlying philosophies are totally at odds with one expects of a Western democracy.
