German football is truly the best in the world. I don't get why fans in England don't fight for their club. They just let everything happen. Seriously, boycott all the games. Every single one, even if it takes months or even years, do it. And protest against repression and owners. England needs the 50+1 rule.
Maybe the atmosphere is slightly better, but the Bundesliga is transforming more and more into Premier League. The club bosses pay a lot of attention to the development accross the channel, and they get jealous about all the money. And they hate to lose their players to english football clubs, because this weakens their teams too much. There also are a lot of clubs in the Bundesliga who got a license even without following the 50:1-rule, like RB Leipzig (that is why they are hated). I went to Hamburg to watch my beloved Celtic play St. Pauli back in 2014. This was my first game abroad. I was only 15 at the time, so I didn't really get why Celtic and St. Pauli have such a big connection, but after the game I did. The two sets of fans have so much in common, from their stadium atmospheres, to their big sets of away fans! It was truly my most favourite football game I've ever been to, and trust me, I've been to some big games! The atmosphere was just electric from smoke bombs to even pitch invasions haha. Can I also say that this was my first time I've been in a safe standing stadium, and if enjoyed every bit about standing. I stand at a lot of Celtic away games, but safe standing is amazing! We need safe standing in the UK ASAP!!
Racism isn't a big problem in the UK nowadays. To say that racism is a problem at Rangers F C is stretching the truth. Anti-Catholic bigotry (Northern Irish Loyalism) has been a problem for many years but that's different and a bit less offensive from racism.
I started to work in Germany 🇩🇪 and come in some street and see shops of st pauli and learn now is my second favorite club, first is always Hajduk Split, greeting from Croatia for all friendly people in Germany 🇩🇪
Great video and this is definitely the club I support in Germany. I'm from New Jersey in the states and a West Ham supporter but it was through the Non-League Club Clapton FC of East London that I learned of St Pauli and their club culture. Wish more Premier League clubs were like this.
atmosphere is boring at St . pauli they partys are boring. We have bigger and better partys with more people and better atmosphere than St Pauli and HSV together

They have all my respects
Been to the Millerntor a few times, some years ago, looks much a bigger stadium now. Great fans, something special. Was lucky enough to see them versus Bayern Munich in a cup semi-final. they lost 3-0. But it was close for 80 minutes. Oliver Kahn in goals, owen hargreaves scored. Bayern fans were gracious in victory.
I worked in Germany for six months a while back and took in some games. Having been used to football in England (both PL and below) it was quite an eye opener. The atmosphere, cost and supporter involvement is levels above England.
Derry City would be fantastic for one of these short documentaries. The club are from Northern Ireland but due to The Troubles here the club were expelled from the Northern league in 1972 because of riots and then 13 years later joined the league of the Republic of Ireland. So much History surrounding the city and the club would make for a good video

Thanks for that great video! I'm from Hamburg and I love it. This club is really special and I think it deserves it. Any English football fans who watched this and thought "I wish my club was like that" should start watching their local semi-pro team rather than the corporate shite of the Premiership. Sure, you won't be in a large crowd but at least you can drink and smoke on the terraces; it won't cost an arm and a leg; and you can have a say in how your club is run. We're now in the Bundesliga again! Feel like this club is about to have another one of these pop offs, FC St. Pauli is growing and growing. And other clubs trying to get over this rule (Hannover96, Bayern München).
Also, personally I think that the atmosphere in the stadiums is lacking in the last years. It was way better a few years ago. There are forces who try to repress the fans and milking them to the last drop. For example traditionally the Bundesliga was always playing on the weekend. Saturday and Sundays. But now we have a game on friday night and monday night. Just because "Sky" (the copyright owner of tv broadcast) wanted this. The argument was again "The PL does this as well, and you get more money from broadcasting as a club", so the clubs agreed, and the fans protested (more or less successfull).
Also the money is not distributed between the clubs as it is in England. The most successfull club, which is Bayern München, is getting the most money. And the smaller clubs are running behind. This is why Bayern München is always winning the championship, and gets very far in the Champions League. But the other clubs are struggeling in the Liga and in international championships.
It is quite cancerous. Nobody cares about the championship in the Bundesliga anymore, because there is only one winner.
Only Borrusia Dortmund did well in this competition, but at the moment even they are struggeling.
Premier League = Good sports, not fan friendly
