No joke, I play the Android version and its overall clarity/gameplay is incredible. Started playing it on PS2 tho when it came out. Best game ever, in the best game series ever!

1. PS2.
2. Xbox (other than the orange sky, this is a very faithful port).
3. PC (with PS2 restoration mods it's number 1).
4. PS3 (remaster got a few more patches than the 360 remaster).
5. Xbox 360 (has more bugs than the PS3 version).
6. Vita (unofficial port so it's unstable but brings a lot of the PS2 features).
7. Android (I believe it is unplayable these days due to a recent update, at least Vice City is right now but regardless, it's just an inferior port of the 360 remaster).
8. The Defective Edition on PC/PS5/PS4/XBONE/XS/Switch (not much needs to be said, we all already know, it's a pick your poison situation).
I stick with classic xbox version

@@realone3602 There is only 3 games that do 1080i, Gran Turismo 4, Valkyrie Profile 2 & Jackass. Then you have like 3 or 4% of the library that can do 480p. 96% only supports 480i/576i. San Andreas only supports 480i or 576i if you're playing the European version.
@@Manic_Panic look up GSM PS2. It upscales all games to 1080i using just a memory card.
@@realone3602 GSM upscale can break many games or send you to a black screen so I generally don't use it. Does it work well with San Andreas in particular?
PS2 version has the best graphics, details, my favorite orange atmosphere and the most original content.

@@prototype_585 yes but it have a lot of improvements and fixes compared to 360 ps3 and Android. Colour Filter, fixed facial expressions, delay when you press buttons, and game runs in medium settings when the ps3 360 runs in Low. Check out draw distance in the sky..
Check out the modded version of Vita San Andreas it brings back vegetation

PS2 runs at 640x448i, PAL runs at 640x512i, and Android is 1080p, but horizontal resolution varies depending on aspect ratio, eg:
(4:3 = 1440x1080) or (16:9 = 1920x1080p)
The best are the PS2 version and first PC release! No matter how the PS2 version today looks, in your memories it will for ever remain as a 4k-graphics game
The classic Xbox version is much higher frame rate etc.
I actually played the PC version first when I was like 6 and my sister got it right when it came out. Then I played it on the PS2 when I was like 9, then years later I got it on my iPod touch, then I beat it again on my iPad and now I played the Definitive Edition on PC and will probably play the definitive edition again when the mobile version comes out but looking at how poor the frame rate is and how badly optimized it is, I can’t even see it running on mobile even at very low graphics. It’s been delayed and we haven’t heard anything about it in so long. I honestly think they just canceled it

I'm so glad I brought the gta trilogy on ps4 before the definitive edition game out. I can now play the original games on my ps4 and now ps5, since I'm pretty sure the original ps4 version (not the definitive edition) was just the ps2 code running in an emulator.

The ps2 version just had that 90s feel. The orange haze and jagged aliasing just made it feel like a 90s gangsta movie. The PC port is definitely great but unfortunately doesn’t have that much charm to it as the original did. But I hope we can all agree that the defective edition ports are totally lifeless and just seem dead in comparison to the ps2/Xbox/PC feel
There was also a PS2 port of this game to the PS4, but sadly it was removed

Not even talking out of nostalgia, but the ps2 is actually the best possible version. This is due to the fact that other versions are merely mobile remasters by Grove Street Games. Even the HD remake is the mobile port with HD updates to it
true and it doesnt function properly sometimes the controls dont work if you drive your vehicle in water you cant exit on HD remaster 360

Yeah, both the OG xbox version and the Pc version still runs the same port as the ps2 one. So those 3 are the definitive experience
The Playstation 2 version will always be the superior version in my opinion. It was the very first release, so it will always be the most true to Rockstar's original vision, which can be seen based on just how different it looks from all other ports.
There like 3 or 4 versions on Playstation 2 and og xbox had a scene in a side mission removed since it was too sexual to keep rated M but was removed in the versions after the first release.

@@COD-OTIMIZADO a diferença é que o switch tem resfriamento e aguenta mto mais processamento bruto a longo prazo, pra um Android aguentar por mto tempo, somente um dispositivo com resfriamento, como um Rogue phone 5... O Android deve ganhar apenas em resolução.

I’m Disappointed that you did all Consoles Except iOS, and I mostly play GTA San Andreas on iOS but I sometimes play it on Xbox.
The Psvita is only kind of identical to the PS2 version in terms of the orange filter.
But still PS2 takes the cake.
The PS2 version is the greatest in all the gta games released for PS2 like vc, gta 3 and obviously SA, followed by the pc versions (I haven't faced any issue in these games in the pc version anyways, just the orange filter's missing).

OG ps2 version is still definitive version just cause it's the 100% unaltered original vision for the game.
Honestly wouldn’t have an issue with it being HD remade. But unlike the terrible trilogy, actually change up the ps2 version instead of making it an HD edition of the mobile version
@@JamesDude100 PC port (original port) has full PS2 restoration mods to make it 1:1 with the PS2, all the textures, graphical effects, model fixes, bug fixes, 2 player co-op mode have been restored. You can play it at 1080p or 4K with a controller. You can even enable the hot coffee mini game which was censored on all platforms.

The xbox version is the best, is an hibrid between ps2 & pc, native widescreen, ps2 objects on the map, a good performance, and the best point is that you don't have to mod the game to play correctly, everybody who love this game should play it on the xbox version for a good and balanced experience
