Hi, how do you get the brake caliper bracket off? I can't get them off for some reason. In your video, that's exactly when the audio cut off, so I couldn't figure out what you did (size of bolt, tricks if any, etc.)
How do I put it in parking brake service mode? I just need to change out my rear brake pads. Rotors are basically brand new. I couldn't deal with the brake dust from the OEM brakes.
1. Brass brush is good, but I highly recommend the 3M green plastic disc with a drill and get the remainder off with a steel brush. I still see a decent amount of surface rust remain, can cause an issue with round-out on rotors leading to odd driving behavior such as vibrations, odd pad wearing, etc. 2. In your first video on the front brakes. I notice you touched the brake pad friction surface with the dirty gloves, I highly recommend against this. This ruins the friction surface, never touch the friction surface especially with greasy/dirty hands. 3. You used jack stands here, but in the first video it looked like you just use jacks to hold up the front of the vehicle, please use jack stands. Your life is more important than a few extra minutes of setup. 4. I recommend wiping down the rotors with brake clean and a clean rag, any dirt and oil on them will directly go on the pads as you use them. 5. Leaving the brake calipers sitting there is asking for them to fall, I suggest using hangers, bungie cords, or steel wire to hold them. 6. A lot of the hardware is one-time use. Such as the bolts for the rear calipers, and the nuts for the front calipers. Reason is they are stretch bolts in the rear, and oval'd locking nuts in the front. Not to sound so negative, good job on doing it yourself. Big fan of DIY'ing my cars. Was looking up your video for specific information. I'm going with new SHW rotors (OEM manufacturer) and iSweep 2000 pads for more aggressive bite and better braking. Noticed the iSweep 1500 do about the same if not worse at some points than OEM pads. Main reason is to remove the awful brake squeal stock pads are known for I also do some autocrossing and drag racing in the car!

Ratchet and the sledge to break the bolt loose. It is definitely a pain the first time.
When do you Plan to change the gear box fluids?
They’ve been changed. I had my mechanic do them with my differential fluids

I used Bimmerlink and the MHD Adapter to access service mode.
@@DrivesAlot crap so there is no other way?
@walt9427 not that I’m aware of
@@DrivesAlot ok. Where can I buy that adapter?
@walt9427 from their website or Amazon. Any ob2 adapter should work as long as it’s bimmerlink compatible

Thanks for the input. All your points are accurate. I will definitely keep them in mind next time I’m doing this job.
